The singular fascination the human psyche has with Itself is a little enraging as of late - I feel as though I can't go anywhere without somebody telling me how great they are because of this and that. Are our ego's that fragile that we must leech onto anyone in the vicinity and proclaim just how awesomefantasicamazing we are? Seriously? It's driving me insane, and my attitude towards those kinds of people is not as, well, pleasant as I should be.

We're all human after all, and everyone has those moments of self-whoring, so I shouldn't complain. Still, after a while it grates on your nerves when it happens all the time, over stupid little things. If you're bragging to me 'cause you cured cancer or invented hyperspace travel, then leech away. You deserve it. *I* don't care, however, if you want to leech because you just beat InsaneYouCantWinVideoGame on Hardcore mode. Argh!

Just felt like venting.

I'm not announcing how awesomefantasticamazing I am for my benefit, it's so you know just how awesomefantasticamazing I am, and can respond accordingly.  Because I'm just so awesomefantasticamazing, that you should respect my level of awesomefantasticamazing-ness.  Because I'm that awesomefantasticamazing.

I know. I don't mind, sometimes you just feel so great you want to tell people. I guess I hate braggers more then just flaunters, though they are often one and the same. If you want to talk about how great you were at HardcoreGamingSomethingOrOther because it was pretty tough or you found out something new, then okay. I'll listen for a bit. If, however, you want to talk about HardcoreGamingSomethingOrOther because you want to rub it in people's faces and act like a royal dick, then I grow both aggravated and weary by your mere presence. Gah!

Damn it Boraxe! You shouldn't be beating me to the punch like this!

Ah well. We all know I'm still a god, and thus lovable by everyone.

That or it would get an attitude.

"Sarcasm meter!  Was TA being sarcastic?"
"And I care about answering your questions because...?"

Though suddenly I'm confused.  Would your sarcasm meter tell you how sarcastic other people are being, or would it tell other people how sarcastic you are being?
