TA

Cut out as much sugar in your diet as you can.  Eat more whole grains (oatmeal, cream of wheat, brown rice if you can hack it).  Increase your intake of veggies, fruit and meat; fish is great, but any kind will do.  Get into the gym, or at least walk.  You absolutely do NOT want diabetes.  Turn yourself around while you are still young.

Or crack open a tub of ice cream and eat the entire thing.

What you shouldn't do is to change your life because someone else tells you to. If you're happy as you are, tell anyone who says you should change yourself to **** off.

Some of us only have the ability to turn two different shades - and one of those is not tan.  I was on the beach for a week and I'm still not tan.  Cuz I can't do it.  I'm either ghostly white or beet red and one of those is painful.

Oddly enough I tend to burn to a crisp in the sun (or what we Dutchies call sun, anyway) yet in Egypt I did the last week without any kind of sunscreen... and I came out fine. Pale, but fine.

It makes no sense...

But I know about the suffering... I don't go into the sun lightly. Although it is fun when you get into "I'm a snake, look at me shedding my skin" phase, especially when you're a kid.

Well that and he went about it all wrong.  The title showed how he felt and that means there'd be less fun in pokin' fun, ya know?  I mean, if it was titled something like 'Me - not to shabby, eh?' and it was a pic of him flexing with a serious look on his face, well, that may have inspired some ridicule.  Add in the fact that most of us here know his forum persona (and a lot of us like him) and you've got a recipe for what happened.  The internet is a strange place.  The Tavern?  Even stranger.

Yeah, I don't have much in the way of hair - not bald patches or anything like that, just a global thinning.  Anyhoo, the hair is no protection and I learned that the hard way.  Showering with a scalp nearly as red as blood is excruciating.  Lesson taught, lesson learned.  Thank you, Mr Sun.

I'm all but hairless on my body naturally. Anything below my eyebrows just doesn't grow. And what does, is very light.

I can't grow a proper beard to save my life, the only thing I can manage is a quasi mustache.

Unfortunately I do not tan easily.

Similar, but not quite; I do have some sort of chin scruff (it's the only thing that makes me look vaguely my age) and I can't grow a decent 'stache whatsoever. I once didn't shave for more than a month, and when I did, no one noticed
