My morning according to D&D

So this morning I went to a competition my gym was holding.

I started out pretty decent in the first portion which was mostly about speed. I can do those events (towel run and a long jump/burpee combo) pretty much at-will, even if I'm sore or tired. Then we hit the strength event. The first one was snatches. I can't do those very well at all, and in fact I'm pretty sure I burned a daily utility just to finish them (seriously even if I do nothing until the evening I won't be able to do those again), and that really screwed me up for the rest of the exercises. When the endurance event started I felt good but that ended real fast so I had to use a Second Wind to keep on going. After all three events, I felt like I was going to puke and I didn't want to do anything except curl up in the corner and sleep away the rest of the day. But after a short rest, not only was I feeling refreshed, I actually felt hyper so I went upstairs to the weight room and used up those encounter powers I had regained.

On a side note, the snatches really annoyed me. I had never done them until about two weeks ago when one of the trainers asked me if I was familiar with them and then showed me how to do them, since as he put it, they would be in the competition and they were the hardest exercise to do right and the easiest one to injure yourself on if you did it wrong. That two weeks just wasn't enough to build up to that from never doing them. Since they never posted a list of events in the competition (and because I wasn't familiar with that particular exercise) I would had no reason to prepare for them, and had he not known I was competing and mentioned them I probably would not have been able to do them at all instead of just being slow and sucking. Of course, I would have tried to do them anyway because I'm stubborn like that and probably would have hurt myself.

I just felt like sharing that and also venting a bit because I really really hate sucking at anything.

Dude, this is the Off-Topic Tavern.  You're not allowed to talk about D&D here...

Oh, wait.  You weren't talking about D&D; you were talking about 4E.  Carry on.

I was gonna say the same thing.  WAR THREE POINT FIVE!!
