So one of the projects I'm working on is nearing completion, which means we'll be doing a Closed Beta and then Open Beta sometime in the near future.

If anyone is interested in testing a new browser-based MMO game, let me know and I'll find you a Beta Key. I'm assuming anyone on this forum knows how to operate a browser, enjoys playing games, and can type English, so you're all qualified anyway Tongue out

However, I will harass you until you give me feedback if you get a key, just so you know Wink

I don't have the time, unfortunately (I'm already doin' a piss-poor job of beta testing the VTT/Builder ) but I may have a friend or two that could be interested.  They were both just used as beta testers for the free version of Champions, actually.  If that's cool with you, I'll pass it on and see if there's any interest.

Sure, as long as they don't mind registering on the game forum and giving some feedback they're welcome Smile

I don't see that as an issue.  I'll pass it on and letcha know.  Cool.    Now hopefully my friends will help.  Heh.

I might be able to put some time in. I was a beta tester for WotLK so I've some experience with the whole process.

What kind of MMO are you talking about?  How much time would be expected?  What kind of system requirements are there?

Just curious.

I'm a very busy lady.  I have to make sure of my commitments before I make them.

I'd be much more interested in developing an MMO than playing one...

You could say a bit about the world Plu.

I'll sneak a peek...  but I can't make severe time commitments.

Plu, I got free time. I don't do anything. I'm not working with any of my clients so I have all day to waste. I'll do it.

What is a browser and a MMO?

The thing you use to read this reply and a silly game you play with lots of people, respectively Tongue out

A browser based one; basically a text and images game with no downloads required. Something like Travian (travian.com/). That also means the system requirements are basically "Anything that can run a browser". (Yeah, that includes your iPhone if you want to play there)

As for time expectations... anything you can afford. If you don't have a lot of time, you could always do a 'how much fun is this game for people with little time-test', as you won't be the only person who only plays for 15 minutes a day or something.

I'd be much more interested in developing an MMO than playing one...

Developing as in programming or world design? We work with outsourced coders so I can't help with the first, but maybe you could help with designing more of the world, the one for this project is pretty bland Smile

It's set in the middle-ages, we've tried to keep it mostly realistic. You run a kingdom, and you get support from a bunch of knightly orders, and you have to control your own island and islands surrounding it. Gameplay wise it's not very original, unfortunately that was one of the design requirements Tongue out

I'll try to obtain a bunch of beta-keys for those interested monday or tuesday.

Yes! That's exactly what I'd like to do!
PM me details so I can send a proper job application!

We seem to have had some technical difficulties (again. grrrr.) so this might have to be postponed for a bit longer. Sorry about that.
