One of them is a huge drama fan, two are sports fanatics, and the other is an artist, so i got an idea from a few rpg's I've played before, you know the quests where you need something from a noble of a city who then makes you help various citizens in town to raise your disposition with them before he/she will give you what you need. So i was thinking to incorporate a few odd-jobs, helping a play-wright who is short an actor, help an art gallery out by donating a piece, give some entertainment by putting on a fantasy style-football game. Does anyone think it would work? or does anyone know any alternative ways to approach this? |

I then developed a love of role playing and eventually all manners of board games and war games. I was open minded enough to try it, I was skeptical, especially cause I was grossly outnumbered by a bunch of teenage boys. I'd say prepare the characters ahead of time, know your game situation well, be prepared. Have some good encounters ready to highlight many facets of the game. Then add the promise of free pizza, soda, cake and ice cream. Give it all a fun party atmosphere. At least it worked for me, when I was younger. Now I would probably avoid the cake, the ice cream and the soda, but who can pass up free pizza? ;) |
