Nerdiest. Joke. Ever.

I just moments ago made one of the most godawful nerdy jokes I've heard in my 20 years as a card-carrying geekasaurus.

We were poking a bit of fun at my friend's love of children, and another friend said "well, they *do* taste delicious."

Another friend followed up with, "now that's a modest proposal".

And I said, "I guess that would require a...swift action?"

...Anybody do worse?

... you combined literature geekery and D&D geekery.  That is impressive.

That was just awful! Horrid. Truly, truly horrid. And yet masterfully executed. I tip my hat to you, sir.

yup.

i don't have any ones in particular but my frenchy-ness is often the butt of some jokes as various cross language play-on-words are worked into our sessions, as well a my name (Mark) the cause of some confusion in our 3rd ed game (our GM also happens to be called Mark)

I guess it could be worse - you could be a defender in a 4e game.  "Hey Mark can you mark Mark's mook before it minces me?"

I believe that this qualifies for the candidate of "You know you play too much D&D when..." award! Laughing

They say people taste like chicken. We taste like potatoes with butter and bacon.

Yes.

Two friends of mine are working a security post together where they both drive around in company trucks. We'll call them M and D for reference. They were driving and talking back and forth when this conversation took place:

M: Man, my truck has a crappy AC.
D: What? Birds keep hitting you?
M: ...
D: What?
M: Dude...
D: OH...AC...Air conditioning...gotcha.

They laughed so hard they called me to tell me about it.
