I'm a Greyhawk fan, but I kind of hate Ebberon. My group moved completely to 4e which is fine. I remember liking 3.5, but I kind of can't remember what I'd like from it since we've been playing 4e so long. Maybe we'll try a 3.5 game again someday.

I play on xbox lol Halo somewhat but mostly Call of Duty mw2 (a chance to let the sadism out and hate people for not having sufficient skill) I'm not like that IRL of course :p . I like 3.5's complicated-ness, the character building was so intensive that it gave you a bond to your character and made immersion easier. However, I only played eberron coz the DM liked warforged lol
I think for shooters, I'm a big fan of Counterstrike: Source, although I haven't played it in a while and I totally suck. Borderlands was also quite fun.
I agree with what you say about 3.5. And I hate Warforged, although I'm not sure if I hate them or Drow more, but yeah... Eberron wasn't a setting for me.
Just try to avoid bringing in religion and/or politics and respect the OTTer.

Honestly, I don't know what it takes to get the GM badge anymore. I mean, anyone can run a game on the boards (please see the groups in my sig - the PbP Haven is a great place to find players/games), but I'm not sure about the actual GM badge, as it took more than just "run a game" to get it in the first place. I got it because I was really active in the Haven before the forum change.
