New Nintendogs sequels for cat lovers?

Feb 26, 2009 17:16:59 I was brainstorming a number of things recently (I tend to do that a lot!) and I came up with an idea: a new Nintendogs game(s) for Nintendo DS featuring kittens instead of puppies; that way, cat lovers wouldn't need to miss out! Unless they also like dogs, in which case, it's only the cat purists that would miss out...I'd call the new games 'Nintendogs: Kitten Kaboodle', since it's the only name that made sense. 'Nintencats' just doesn't have the right appeal. So yeah, look out for it (maybe) in the near future (or parallel world); Nintendogs: Kitten Kaboodle.

on a more serious note, while kittens are playful, most grow up into liquid metal slinkies covered in soft fur that lie there until cuddled. at least that's how my cats usually are.

and as much as i like my DS, cuddling with it would just feel awkward.

The problem is that the cats would either lie on the virtual camera or wander away so that you couldn't see them. For fifteen minutes out of every day, you'd get to virtually pet them. Once they'd had enough, they'd claw at the screen, causing the game to issue a sharp shock to your hands.

Cats are bastards. Virtual cats, moreso.
