New to the Tavern/Forums... So... Uhm... LETS ROLL!

Mar 28, 2011 2:47:36 Hey there Lads and Lasses! I thought I may as well go to the sorce to get my roll on, since I can't seem to find a halfway decent means of getting a party together anywhere else I've tried!

So a round of pints for all, on me of course, and hear my tale.

I got into D&D shortly after being medically discharged from the military when I was 18. I am now 22 years old now. I have been a gamer all my life, but aside from taking a passing interest in Neverwinter Nights in my youth, I never fully knew anything about D&D. I found the local gaming store near me and I learned the basics. I have moved since, and played some not-too-serious games here and there, but have always kept my supply of PDF's handy, and often read them when I'm bored of the usual PC gaming.

Having experianced the thrill of table top D&D, everything else pales in comparison, so I want to reach out and find a ready to roll group either over skype, or face to face in my area. I live in Anchorage, Alaska, for those who wonders (yes I try to step away from being the typical Alaskan. Most get drunk on friday/saturday nights. I chill back and game)

I am a huge fan of 3.5 and any 3.0 suppliment book that compliments 3.5. I am not unwilling to give pathfinder a go either. I have 66 some odd 3.5 pfd books, and suppliment books on my PC, and have at least spent an hour of time in each book, picking out interesting feats, prestige classes, rules, etc.. I am also personally fond of the variant options in Unearthed Arcana, as it gives the oppertunity for two people in the group to play a barbarian, but be useful at two entirely different things.

I am not sure if this is the right place to be posting this particilar request, but I guess I am kind of paring it with my introduction of myself, so hey who knows. If anyone wants to throw me a message, lookin for some fun on skype, or has a group in my area, I want in. I am an experianced player and know enough about the game to make myself useful to any party, with virtually any class. I can be very creative when I set my mind to it ;)

Likewise, if anyone knows a very recommended unofficial fansite which has a good community to throw these requests around in as well, Id like to hear about it Thanks and I hope to find lots of fun times in this community
