Oct 16, 2008 0:02:29 Yeah, so I just wanted to proclaim my pride in my home-town Phillies.

Though I lived in Arizona for 8 years, and now reside in the frozen north (Alaska), I've always held a place in my heart for the Phillies.

I have fond memories of going to games with my grandparents, watching the fireworks on July 4th, and hugging the Phanatic.

GO PHILLIES!! :D

Oct 16, 2008 9:05:29 Gah. So that's what the karking fireworks that kept our dogs up barking half the night were about.

Oct 16, 2008 12:28:02 The Phightin' Phils going to have your hands full with the Rays. Unless, of course, Boston manages to pull another freaking miracle out of their ass.

Oct 16, 2008 12:39:21 Whoo! Whee! My dad (who now lives in NM) says that even when the Phightin's pitching is great, there are still moments that make us cringe.

But whee, what a ride!

Another PA team :P

The real winners were the fans, though. They got to set things on fire and destroy vehicles! Good times! ;) (Not that I can actually say anything about that, of course. OSU fans tend to destroy things after a good Michigan game and the kids at Akron U destroy stuff (May Day?) just 'cuz) :P

The only thing I cared about was that Boston didn't win. And that the Yankees weren't even close. For that alone I am thankful to the Rays. The fact they lost to the Phillies? Who cares! :D

Wow, this really could be PA's year though, no? Phillies take the Series, PSU has hopes of making the Championship game and the Steelers are at the top of the division - again. Guess the only thing ya'all ain't got this year is an NBA team. :D

You left out PSU volleyball! Currently ranked number one and on track for a national title!

I love women's volleyball. My two favorite teams are always in the running for a national championship. (Huskers are number 2!)

Nope. But we do have Villanova. They are always good for some March Madness.
