| #1Cpt_MichaApr 09, 2010 7:03:45 | editorial.autos.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-... It looks too American for me to call it a Ferrari. I see hints of Viper, Panoz and Corvette all over this thing. I'm sure the thing is amazing on performance (not for the money though mind you.) sorta and it's sexy but is it really Italian? To me that answer is no. It doesn't fit in my mind what I think of when I think of Ferrari, Lambo, or heck Maserati. |
| #2pluisjenApr 09, 2010 7:05:11 | It looks... bad. I don't like the looks of it. |
| #3Cpt_MichaApr 09, 2010 7:09:46 | I think it would look better had they taken one of the cars I mentioned as inspiration instead of all three, and then throw a Ferrari type front end on it. |
| #4zombie_babiesApr 09, 2010 9:23:24 | Holy crap. I didn't think it was - cuz it totally doesn't look like it - but I checked and ... I'm about 99% certain that this is a Pininfarina body. I say 99% certain only because I was unable to verify it but I was able to verify that the 599 GTB is Pininfarina work. And it looks a lot like the GTO. That's sad. |
| #5scypioApr 09, 2010 9:45:20 | Its alright, but I'm not a huge fan. I can definately see Cpt_Micha's comments on how it has an American look. |
| #6zombie_babiesApr 09, 2010 9:49:22 | I don't know that it has an American look. I do know that it doesn't have a Ferrari look. Not like it matters. I mean, I can't afford it and, even if I could, I'm pretty certain that ownership of one of these rides will be an invite only affair (like the Enzo was). EDIT: Looked again and I can kinda see it now. Certainly reminiscent of the Vette and it has some shades of Viper, too. |
| #7Cpt_MichaApr 10, 2010 9:35:19 | Yeah it's an invite only thing. But, it's a neat car if it were just a little less schizo in looks. I don't think it will be that popular among Ferrari fans (especially as they are infamous, for being Purists in the looks department) either way though. For me it's a Dud too but not because "Zomg it's not TRUE Italian!" but because it's just not that sexy. It's no F50, F40, Testarossa, or 550 Maranello or Enzo by any stretch of the imagination) Personally I'd have gone more F50 on it's design. The F50 is probably the sexiest Badass Ferrari ever made, and there is no question what so ever about it's Heritage. |
