| #1killerdungeonmasterJul 17, 2008 2:29:54 | Canadians on "mild hallucinogenic" pills will now have to play D&D sober after the cops take their supposedly legal stash. WTF? Man those Canadians are pretty damn awesome. I wish there was more to this story - but here is the LINK anyways. ![]() ***** |
| #2athzarJul 17, 2008 9:47:50 | ??? I've never heard of the store nor of these legal mild hallucinogenic pills. I guess I don't get out enough. |
| #3cmcfJul 17, 2008 11:01:43 | I really don't know what to think of this. On one hand it is kinda funny on the other I find it kinda creepy that people were buying these at the game stores. How young are kids going to be when we start getting them used to being high. I think its a slippery slope. |
| #4nowiwantmydmgJul 17, 2008 11:10:21 | I wonder what product that is, it doesn't sound like it should be legal. It may be legal, but a Game store likely doesn't have a pharmaceutical license either. Lower mainland means it was in British Columbia (a Canadian province for those of you who aren't aware) near Vancouver. |

| #6killerdungeonmasterJul 17, 2008 15:38:14 | My google-fu is best. More info on the story is here. OMFG - that is freaking funny. The first guy (in the Province link above) said they were gaming stores and now we see they are - in actuality - Adult Stores. Unless, kids were watching porn and playing D&D!!???!!! ![]() ![]() ***** |

| #8darkraven18599Jul 18, 2008 21:53:22 | Wait, I thought Canadians rode penguins, lived in igloos, and didn't have access to the Internet! No no no...penguins are not found north of the equator. Up here in Canada we all ride polar bears. Huge, blood thirsty, human devouring polar bears. Able to rend a typical Yankee cowboy's wuss horse to mere flesh shreds in simple minutes. We're just that bad ass. |
| #9cmcfJul 19, 2008 19:15:11 | Oh that kind of fantasy! ![]() |
| #10the_shamanJul 20, 2008 9:37:59 | Hey, speaking of bears, that other piece of news was fun too. Check for yourselves: "West Vancouver has eliminated overnight curbside garbage in residential areas in an attempt to reduce incidences of human-bear interaction. Between the bears, raccoons and the endless shopping carts, the city's alleys are more of a hotbed of late-night activity than the city itself. " Cripes, I've been startled by a cat jumping out of a dumpster, imagine what it feels like for a bear to poke out of it :D |

It's how we won the war of 1812. |
| #12darkraven18599Jul 20, 2008 12:41:36 | Hey, speaking of bears, that other piece of news was fun too. Check for yourselves: Actually, the types of bears they're talking about, black bears, aren't really all that bad to deal with. On average, (and I know this sounds cliche), they're more afraid of you then you are of them. The only time black bears are really a problem is if you have a sow with her cubs. Living in a place like Fort McMurray, way up in northern Alberta I've had a few run-ins with bruins. For the most part they're just curious or hungry. A few loud noises and they run for the hills. ![]() |
| #13the_shamanJul 20, 2008 19:39:12 | I've heard that Black bears can be quite nice, but that's the first time I heard that the term for a female bear is sow![]() |
| #14darkraven18599Jul 20, 2008 23:38:40 | I've heard that Black bears can be quite nice, but that's the first time I heard that the term for a female bear is sow Unfortunately I'm only full of USELESS information. Hence why I'm not a millionaire... |
| #15ocarina_guyJul 21, 2008 0:41:58 | I'm the same. But we need to band together and form a repository of useless information! DM: The dragon has you trapped, and won't let you go until he hears an answer from you. Rogue: Let's hear the question! DM: What's the term for a female bear? Fighter: A bearess? Wizard: What's a bear? Cleric: HERESY! Bard: Isn't it a sow? Dragon:......Stupid bard. That's a pig. *party is fireball'd* |
