| #2The_SilverswordNov 19, 2009 15:40:43 | Hells Yeah! Boba Fett! |
| #3Dougan_AxehammerNov 19, 2009 15:42:02 | I like the Stormtrooper/Darth Vader Collage |
| #4zombie_babiesNov 19, 2009 15:49:34 | I used to wear all kinds of Ecko crap back in the day. Still have a couple hoodies, too. They're very well made and quite warm. I happen to think Star Wars is terrible, but these hoodies are nearly cool enough by themselves to override the lameness that is Star Bores. :P |
| #5bobbi_wilburnNov 19, 2009 15:58:31 | im a little disappointed. they didnt have a princess leia hoodie, with the buns .... ![]() |
| #6zombie_babiesNov 19, 2009 16:01:40 | That would have been cool. Lotsa chickies rock Ecko gear. |
| #7KillerGMNov 19, 2009 17:10:43 | Those are so cool. :-) I may have to get one for my husband. Too bad there's no Jango Fett - he would have liked that one ... |
| #8cloqwurkNov 19, 2009 17:14:40 | I may now worship Ecko. Maybe. |
| #9toastedamphibianNov 19, 2009 17:26:10 | ... I just dont 'get' fandom I think. |
| #10Cpt_MichaNov 20, 2009 8:52:57 | must get stormtrooper shirt! |
| #11zombie_babiesNov 20, 2009 8:58:27 | If anyone is seriously considering making a purchase, I feel I must mention the following: Mark Ecko is a tool. Like a total tool. Lives in a shed kind of tool. Drives a box to work sort of tool. Can find him at Sears Hardware type of tool. Nicknamed 'Craftsman' sort of ... oh, you get it? K, got it. :P That said, the clothes are very high quality, IMO. I mean really, really nice. Like as nice as how much of a tool Mark Ecko is. Yeah, that nice. So, if you can get past giving money to a tool of that magnitude, I think you'll be very pleased with the items you purchase. |
| #12Cpt_MichaNov 20, 2009 9:50:25 | What makes him a tool? (Has no clue who this guy is other than these shirts look awesome) |
| #13zombie_babiesNov 20, 2009 9:58:41 | He's done some stupid stuff. One time he and a crew 'tagged Air Force One'. 'Cept they didn't. They even 'shot video' of the 'crime' and pretended it really happened. Yeah. Tool stuff. Then he bought a Barry Bonds home run ball (record breaker)and branded it with an asterisk. He paid over $700k for it and then used it as an advertising campaign. There was a website where you were allowed to vote for what you wanted him to do with it. The options? Send it to the HoF unmarked, send it with an asterisk or shoot it into space. Yeah, shoot it into space. Well, the asterisk was the winner and so Marc said he'd lend it to the HoF. Lend, not give - even though he originally said he'd donate it to them. They told him to f-off. So he eventually donated his $700k+ ball. And for that I think he's a tool. There's other stuff, too. I've seen interviews an' crap and he seems like a real d-bag. Dood makes cool clothes, though. |
| #14Cpt_MichaNov 20, 2009 10:01:04 | I have to admit I want to buy one of his shirts now, cause of the barry bonds ball story.... Everything else though is kind of overriding that. |
| #15zombie_babiesNov 20, 2009 10:19:19 | Like I said, I used to buy all sorts of Ecko stuff and still wear a few things occasionally. If you can get past the d-bagness that is Marc Ecko and buy something, you will be satisfied. Really quality stuff. I may not like the dood, but I can't say anything bad about the clothes - especially the quality. EDIT: He does do one kind of good thing. He sponsors some MMA fighters. That's actually how I found out about these hoodies. I was readin' some MMA blog and there was a pic of a corner man in the cage wearing a Boba one with the hood up. It was funny as hell. |
| #16cloqwurkNov 20, 2009 11:00:07 | Tool though he is, I can't deny that those shirts are off the shizzy, yo! |
| #17zombie_babiesNov 20, 2009 11:35:35 | Yeah, Ecko makes some sick ****. |
| #18scypioNov 20, 2009 12:29:48 | Zombie_Babies: The only thing I really know about Mark Ecko was the Barry Bonds thing and I agree with your assessment of him. He just looks and acts like such a jerk. But what's up with the Star Wars hate? |
| #19zombie_babiesNov 20, 2009 12:34:51 | Just never liked it. As a joke, I have fully entrenched myself in the Star Trek camp (which I do like) and act accordingly. Star Wars fans and Star Trek fans are supposed to hate each other. So, when anything Star Wars or Star Trek comes up here, I play my part. It's all in good fun. We've had some great 'debates' in a few threads, too. Vader vs Picard kind of stuff. Good times. EDIT: And I also appreciate the value of a snappy title. ;) |
| #20scypioNov 20, 2009 12:43:50 | I'm actually a fan of both. When I was younger, I used to be very pro-Trek and against Star Wars. But I realized that its not really a good reason to just choose one. And in recent years, the declining quality of Star Trek really pushed it to the back of my mind. But the new Star Trek movie was excellent (although its pretty much Star Wars) and made me remember the good Star Trek memories. I'll randomly catch some TNG episodes now and again, but I don't really remember when it shows. But honestly, it should be the job of Sci-Fi to show various Star Trek series throughout the week. |
| #21zombie_babiesNov 20, 2009 12:46:27 | Even as a kid, I thought Star Wars was 'meh' at best. Always liked my Trek, though. Well, not Voyager or stupid Enterprise. DS9, NG, OS in order. |
| #22Cpt_MichaNov 21, 2009 6:28:56 | But honestly, it should be the job of Sci-Fi to show various Star Trek series throughout the week. I know exactly when they could play those shows too. Instead of Scare Tactics, or Ghost Turders, they could play Trek. |
| #23cloqwurkNov 21, 2009 9:50:29 |
QFT. Though I like both Star Trek & Star Wars, so I'm happy with either. |
| #24EscherEnigmaNov 21, 2009 13:32:54 | Only one that impressed me much is the Boba Fett hoodie. Seriously considering ordering it for my sister for X-Mas. |
