Owned!

I like how they stand around after that. I'd be wondering what it was running from.

According to this article, it was just a way of letting the mountain biker know who runs this house.

I've seen puppies do that to toddlers. Good thing dogs don't have horns, eh?

You say it like you've never been a toddler

Lovely footage either way. But yes anything with horns wins when at full speed vs. squishy bikers. Would like to know what spooked the critter if that's what happened.

Nothing. It was a territorial thing.

Man, I got plowed into by a deer running through my yard once... It was really hauling, and even though it just clipped me it still knocked me arse over elbow, lol.

Now if the biker had been a real man he'd have just punched it as it jumped or shot it.

Shooting is for the weak. A real man would've grabbed it by the horns and flung it out of the way :P

A lot of animals will do stuff like this.  It's why you shouldn't approach them.  Like, any of them.  During the rut (breeding season) even whitetailed deer can become aggressive to humans.  People have been gored and nearly killed by deer.  And turkey?  They attack all the time in spring.  But people are stupid and think anything fuzzy is eminently pet-able.  So sometimes we get some cool stories.  In this case it was just a random, wrong place wrong time sorta thing.  But yeah, it happens.

What interests me the most is the way people behave about it.  I mean, why are they shocked that an animal that outweighs a person in some cases by more than the person in question's body weight and has self-grown weapons on its head would attack something obviously physically inferior?  Duh.  It's bigger, it's stronger, it doesn't like you, why wouldn't it push you around?

Kinda makes you want to invent hologram tech to project images of bicycle riders with lion heads right in the middle of a pack of South African Horned Whatchamacalits, doesn't it?

No, a real man would have grabbed it by the horns and finished the race riding it.

No. We would have such fun videos to post if your idea actually worked. It probably wouldn't, unless your hologram also produce lion scent. It's possible to do, but I'm not sure anyone would want to smell like a lion.

If it's the equal of Sexpanther, I might consider not wearing it.
