#1 Kagehito May 23, 2008 22:51:18	Well I just finished the book, and while it was a fun romp through your standard High fantasy setting, it left a good taste in my mouth. There were definantly good and bad things about the book, but I think it came out on the plus side of things. Here's a breakdown from my point of view. PLUS - Good action. Ecspecially at the end. Running from one fight to the next kept the blood pumping and the pages turning. - The antagonists actually felt evil. They made me want the good guys to kill em'. - Story moved at a fairly brisk pace. One or two moments of slowdown, but the overall pace was good. Minus - Character development felt a little stale. Without ruining things for people that haven't read it, Show Guy eventually gets back with old sweetheart from childhood... nothing stand outish here. And the sidekick had almost none whatsoever
#2 Kagehito May 24, 2008 0:09:08	Come on people... I can't be the only person to read, let alone finish the book. I haven't had a good novel discussion in ages! Some one need to step up to the plate. I know my review wasn't the best, but i tired to keep it brief enough to not give away any details for the people that haven't read it. BTW, did anyone else think that Mhurren died a little bit to easy? I mean, "I'm the cheftan of the orcs known as bloody skulls, but I can't take one shot without going down?" whats with that?
#3 the_jew May 28, 2008 22:49:28	maybe mhurrin was a very high level minion, I do apologize I have not read the book yet I am re-reading the riftwar series, and I also have to watch a lot of movies as part of my job. Although it is also a perk, plus I have some exams to take so I have been lacking on time to read, still I really wish I could debate this book with you
