| #8RUMPLESTIXAug 28, 2009 16:15:23 | Present |
| #9pigknightAug 28, 2009 16:16:19 | Hey RUMP, why don't you have a pig avatar? |
| #10RUMPLESTIXAug 28, 2009 16:25:03 |
I just grabbed this one real quickly and have not yet spent any time looking for a good avatar. I might have to get started now. |
| #11subsistcyberAug 28, 2009 16:25:11 | Hair.Hare.Hear.Here. |
| #12Reg06Aug 28, 2009 16:38:46 | Having an avatar forced upon me is not something I like. That is to say, however much of an OTTer I was, I'm still here.
|
| #13ellorinAug 28, 2009 16:43:15 | By OTTo I'm still here! |
| #14ellorinAug 28, 2009 16:50:17 | Sure...but the laundry hasn't returned the red carpet yet while a spriggan ate the fireworks(don't ask)yet so don't expect much of a celebration. |
| #15marmalangAug 28, 2009 16:57:41 | Here. |
| #16Cpt_MichaAug 28, 2009 17:30:59 | Present and semi accounted for. |

| #18dirtyfrankAug 28, 2009 17:52:08 | Hey RUMP, why don't you have a pig avatar? How about this?
|
| #19RUMPLESTIXAug 28, 2009 18:15:55 | @ Df That might be one of several that I was looking at. Of course, then I have to do that upload stuff... |
| #20baneofelvesAug 28, 2009 18:24:24 | Yo. |
| #21owls_and_more_owlsAug 28, 2009 18:31:15 | What's new, Bane? |
| #22baneofelvesAug 28, 2009 18:49:10 | Not too much. I'm one year closer to eighteen. Yay. Please kill me. |
| #23owls_and_more_owlsAug 28, 2009 18:50:58 | Pft. I'm going to be 20 in a month. |
| #24subsistcyberAug 28, 2009 18:51:37 | Kids... |
| #25pigknightAug 28, 2009 18:52:08 | 20 is a nice round number ~.^ |
| #26MechaliburAug 28, 2009 18:52:20 | What's wrong with being young? |
| #27baneofelvesAug 28, 2009 18:56:57 |
And that my friend, is YOUR problem. :P I don't want to get older, because as I get older, I get more responsibilities, and apparently I'm so responsible that everyone comes to me for advice, and I'm supposed to be the one who protects everyone from themself, and if I ever screw up or anything even remotely close to doing so, everyone points a finger at me and judges me. Next year will be even worse. |
| #28toastedamphibianAug 28, 2009 18:59:37 | *points* HAHA! |
| #29MechaliburAug 28, 2009 18:59:57 | And that my friend, is YOUR problem. Yeah, that does suck, doesn't it? |
| #30owls_and_more_owlsAug 28, 2009 19:01:09 |
Indeed. However, For the next two years, my entire perceived identity will revolve around alcohol. When I'm 20, people will say "only one more year!" and when I'm 21, people will say "Awesome! so how does it feel to finaly be able to drink?" or "Awesome! Let's go drink!" |
| #31pigknightAug 28, 2009 19:03:22 | ...Oh hell I forgot you were a dude...I'm going to get the brain bleach. |
| #32owls_and_more_owlsAug 28, 2009 19:04:02 |
Who told you that? |
| #33RUMPLESTIXAug 28, 2009 19:07:19 | I remember when one of my friends who was a year older than me turned 21. It was on a Sunday. So, we went across the state line into Kenova, West Virgina. There, he waited until the clock struck midnight in a Super America (I am not sure if the name changed after Marathon Oil bought out Ashland Oil...) and it just so happened that a policeman came in right as he was making his first legal purchase. Another of my friends had a birthday that allowed him to "grandfather" in when the legal age changed from 18 (or was it 19?) in Ohio to 21. So he got to buy alcohol legally for 3 (or maybe 2) years and rub it in the face of our shared friend. |
| #34WolfLordBranAug 28, 2009 19:46:15 | Recruit WLB here! Ready to work (Not really, I have a terrible work ethic but a great policy to replace it: Why work when you have minions?) |
| #35Mad_JackAug 28, 2009 23:56:31 |
I'm not here, I never was. Now stop talking to me...I mean, to yourself.... < grumbles about lack of good emoticons and stupid html and goes back to not being here again > |

| #38cherubaddonAug 29, 2009 5:37:59 | Reporting for Duty. |
| #39idhrinielAug 29, 2009 8:47:55 | Je suis ici! (That's French for, "I'm here!" in case you'd like to know =D) |
| #40baneofelvesAug 29, 2009 13:05:02 | Are you french? |
| #41idhrinielAug 29, 2009 13:08:28 | un peu. Mais je suis americaine aussi. ;) J'aime parler français, et je l'aime beaucoup quand les autre personnes ne comprennent pas! |
| #42baneofelvesAug 29, 2009 13:10:43 | Okaaaaaaaay. I'm going to take that as a yes, because I don't speak french. Um, hail, fellow country(wo)man? (I have a pretty diverse family tree. Got a lil' bit of almost everything in me.) |
| #43idhrinielAug 29, 2009 13:12:37 | TRANSLATION: A bit. But I am American also. I like to speak French. I like it a lot when other people don't understand! and if you know of gender alterations to adjectives, you'd know that i am, in fact, a woman. |
| #44baneofelvesAug 29, 2009 13:14:35 | I don't know any french. Not even a few good insults. That's all I really bother to learn in other languages, along with "where is the bathroom", "how much does this cost" ect. I can really cuss someone out in Vietnamese, Sign Language, and Spanish. |
| #45ForgemberAug 29, 2009 16:00:23 | I'm here, *waves* |
| #46cherubaddonAug 29, 2009 16:05:03 |
Donc... tu es francaise, oui ou non? (désolé, mon ordi n'aime pas le c-cédille ;)) |
| #47succubitavernAug 29, 2009 16:05:17 | halo Idhrinielsan exciting snow woman is cute bye and translated |
| #48idhrinielAug 29, 2009 16:10:22 |
Oui, je suis française. Je vais passer Français III cet an de l'école. (I'm not sure if that last bit is grammatically correct or not...im going into french 3 this year...) |
| #49dirtyfrankAug 29, 2009 16:14:21 | Isn't speaking in a language other than English on these boards some sort of CoC violation? |
| #50pigknightAug 29, 2009 16:15:10 |
Ya it is. |
| #51succubitavernAug 29, 2009 16:16:52 | I thought it was against profane words, I was speaking about the japanese mythological snow woman in kwaidan movie. |
| #52idhrinielAug 29, 2009 16:17:18 | so if i wanted to say hi in spanish, that's a CoC violation?? that aint even bull****. That's horse****. |
| #53succubitavernAug 29, 2009 16:20:25 | I fixed it and its translated
I wonder what the manga group is going to do since manga is a japanese word ^.^; |
| #54dirtyfrankAug 29, 2009 16:22:16 | I think it has to do with this basically being an English speaking board that it is assumed that we all know English and so to not speak English is just being rude to everyone else. Also people in the past have used other languages to get around word filters and to trash talk others. But for the most part I think it is about a common courtesy to your fellow forum goers and so speaking around/over them is seen as rude and such. I'm not sure but I think typing something in a foreign language and then its translation under it might be fine. |
| #55idhrinielAug 29, 2009 16:22:47 | i wonder what'll happen when someone says champagne...because that's french. or lasagna, cuz thats italian...god forbid someone calls the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation - bureau is french) |
| #56dirtyfrankAug 29, 2009 16:24:11 | i wonder what'll happen when someone says champagne...because that's french. or lasagna, cuz thats italian...god forbid someone calls the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation - bureau is french Sure they are foreign words but they are also commonly used in the English language which has, over time, also made them a part of the English language. |
| #57KillerGMAug 29, 2009 16:26:21 | i wonder what'll happen when someone says champagne...because that's french. or lasagna, cuz thats italian...god forbid someone calls the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation - bureau is french Yup. English is a mongrel language. And I'd say use common sense, but that's right out ... |
| #58EscherEnigmaAug 29, 2009 16:35:53 | The English language not only steals words from the houses of other languages while they're out to eat, it then tracks them down and mugs them in a dark alley for spare syntax and grammar. |
| #59succubitavernAug 29, 2009 16:36:06 | but guess that means old english able to be written w00t |
| #60dirtyfrankAug 29, 2009 16:41:02 | but guess that means old english able to be written w00t Old English as in pre or post inclusion of other languages such as viking/Scandinavian tongues and french? |
| #61succubitavernAug 29, 2009 16:44:47 | I dunno wouldnt gaelic be old english as well? |
| #62dirtyfrankAug 29, 2009 16:47:14 | I dunno wouldnt gaelic be old english as well? Well old old old english was basically a gaelic language with a bit of latin tossed in. It didn't start sounding a bit more modern such as the shakespear junk until after stuff like French, German and Scandinavian tongues also started mixing with it. Modern English is really just a hodge podge of languages such as about a dozen of them. |
| #63succubitavernAug 29, 2009 16:49:06 | too bad english never meshed with japanese language early in its history |
| #64owls_and_more_owlsAug 29, 2009 16:54:43 |
You can thank Japan's Xenophobia and reclusiveness for that. |
| #65succubitavernAug 29, 2009 16:59:59 | the japanese did meet the dutch when they brought their ships over,at least they werent conquered and became a pawn in the western empires of the time either. |
| #66owls_and_more_owlsAug 29, 2009 17:07:44 | True, but for the most part, the interaction between the two cultures didn't impact either that much. And besides, the Dutch speak Dutch, not English. |
| #67dirtyfrankAug 29, 2009 17:19:01 | See the reason why English mixed with so many other languages because over the years many different people from many different cultures moved into England and never really left. Ya had the romans that moved in. Later you had the saxons. Ya also had the Vikings and the Normans from france. Also the romans brought in a lot of greek language influences. Modern english is basically the result of about a dozen different cultures all living in the same spot and mixing with one another over time. Such is not the case with the Dutch/Japan thing. |
| #68matukalAug 29, 2009 20:22:31 | For those who care (Ha!), I'm still here. |
| #69idhrinielAug 30, 2009 6:28:57 | wtf is that in ur profile pic? it looks like (and for those of you who watched Doctor Who, Season 4, episode "The Poison Sky," you'll know what I mean) a sontaran... |

| #81idhrinielAug 30, 2009 7:31:46 | yaaayyyy! |
| #82bo0kw0rmAug 30, 2009 7:33:29 | You like it that way? I sure do, I think the faded otter in the back is a nice touch. |
| #83bo0kw0rmAug 30, 2009 7:46:29 | Where can you set your signature? |
| #84dirtyfrankAug 30, 2009 8:55:53 | wtf is that in ur profile pic? it looks like (and for those of you who watched Doctor Who, Season 4, episode "The Poison Sky," you'll know what I mean) a sontaran... Awesome. You just showed a whole new level of nerdity. And it looks like one can triple post or more but need at least a few minutes, such as five, between each post. Interesting yet dumb. |
| #85dirtyfrankAug 30, 2009 8:58:28 | Where can you set your signature? Look at the top left of the page where it says "Preferences." Then click on it.
|
| #86The-Mage-KingAug 30, 2009 10:29:26 | Commander of the 489th Overkill legion, reporting. |
| #87half_dragon_infernalAug 30, 2009 23:23:46 | Although I have largely dropped out of this forum, I still exist. |
| #88idhrinielAug 31, 2009 5:16:28 | wtf is that in ur profile pic? it looks like (and for those of you who watched Doctor Who, Season 4, episode "The Poison Sky," you'll know what I mean) a sontaran... so what? i'm now the "Female SuperNerd"? Great...PK's gonna have a good time with that... |
| #89Cpt_MichaAug 31, 2009 8:46:45 | wtf is that in ur profile pic? it looks like (and for those of you who watched Doctor Who, Season 4, episode "The Poison Sky," you'll know what I mean) a sontaran... haha! |
| #90idhrinielAug 31, 2009 9:02:40 | no, micha....just...no...just don't...don't...**goes on an unintelligible mumbled rant** |
| #91Cpt_MichaAug 31, 2009 9:03:33 |
*Angelic expression*
Did I miss something? |
| #92idhrinielAug 31, 2009 9:08:07 | **goes on with her mumbling** |
| #93d11Aug 31, 2009 9:37:50 | boj0 here, my old account didn't transfer over in the great crash of '09. From here on out I shall be d11, because a d10 is not enough for me (although you all may still call me boj0). |
| #94IdolisAug 31, 2009 9:40:33 |
Or maybe a d12 is too much? |
| #95ellorinAug 31, 2009 9:41:04 | You're the Die of Paradox then? |
| #96zombie_babiesAug 31, 2009 9:41:23 | Looks like we got most of the OTTers back in ok shape. We may have even picked up a new fuzzy face or two. That's good news. Cuz now we march! So ... what forum are we attacking? |
| #97d11Aug 31, 2009 9:41:41 |
More like my d10 goes up to 11 /Spinal Tap referance |
| #98The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 9:57:36 | Well, the old guard's here again... All in favor of typing up a petition for the forums to revert to what they once were? |
| #99ellorinAug 31, 2009 10:12:15 |
I suggest... this cricket forum! Too long has cricket plagued the Earth! To war! |
| #100The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 10:15:21 | Nay, I suggest that we search for whoever has stolen the tea! |
| #101ellorinAug 31, 2009 10:19:39 | I thought that you guys threw it into the Boston harbor. |
| #102The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 10:21:10 | What? I don't understand. |
| #103ellorinAug 31, 2009 10:22:25 | |
| #104The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 10:25:38 | I may have been born in the U.S., but I'll always talk with a Scotish accent. To enhance my annoyance factor, of course. |
| #105ellorinAug 31, 2009 10:28:18 | Mine is worse- the dubious advantage of a non-native English speaker. |
| #106zombie_babiesAug 31, 2009 10:29:57 |
I don't think that's such a good idea. Them guys gots bats. An' bats are kinda like clubs. An' we're OTTers. An' OTTers are kinda like baby seals. I think you get where I'm going with this one ... |
| #107IdolisAug 31, 2009 10:29:59 | I wish I could learn a second language. Almost flunked Spanish in Highschool and don't remember any of it. |
| #108The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 10:35:54 | ...I've played Overlord II......I agree about th baby seals thing... |
| #109ellorinAug 31, 2009 10:40:36 |
After some beer I'm sure we'll have whole squads of Berserker OTTers. If it comes to worst, we'll pray to KGM. They won't stand a chance. |
| #110Cpt_MichaAug 31, 2009 10:40:38 | I felt so bad after killing the baby seals in Overlord II... is it me or did they pick the most sickening sound possible for that sound effect? |
| #111The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 10:42:01 | I thought it was funny. |
| #112ellorinAug 31, 2009 10:43:01 | Haven't played any Overlord yet. Are they worth it? |
| #113The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 10:44:40 | I've only played II, and I'm stuck where you get the blues. Besides that, I would recommend it. |
| #114d11Aug 31, 2009 10:53:33 | Hey how do I change my signature? this new set up confuses and angers me. |
| #115The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 10:55:51 | Click on 'preferences'. There's a large text box where you type your new sig. |
| #116idhrinielAug 31, 2009 11:38:04 |
Boston Tea Party, my friend....as for beating OTTers with clubs...I believe we should use: It's a grenade-wielding OTTer. A friggin grenade OTTer! |
| #117dirtyfrankAug 31, 2009 11:43:22 | I don't think that's such a good idea. Them guys gots bats. An' bats are kinda like clubs. An' we're OTTers. An' OTTers are kinda like baby seals. I think you get where I'm going with this one ... ![]() |
| #118idhrinielAug 31, 2009 11:45:47 | why do the glowsticks have to be pink and blue? |
| #119dirtyfrankAug 31, 2009 11:49:34 | Because they go with the rest of the pic which is pink/purple and blue. |
| #120zombie_babiesAug 31, 2009 11:56:47 | You need two diff colors, duh. Really though, glow sticks are all sorts of lame. You need gloves that you put LED lights of various colors into to pull off the coolest tricks an' junk. |
| #121ellorinAug 31, 2009 11:58:29 |
That's the spirit! |
| #122The-Mage-KingAug 31, 2009 12:12:36 | Actually, I was quoting Adams. Yes, I know it's old, but I had to say it. |
| #123pigknightSep 01, 2009 22:32:48 | To war! |
| #124succubitavernSep 01, 2009 22:58:33 | to war! against who? |

| #127The-Mage-KingSep 02, 2009 8:20:57 | WAR! AGAINST THE DARK SIDE! |
| #128zombie_babiesSep 02, 2009 8:37:39 |
Pssst. Hey, buddy. We are the dark side. |
| #129pluisjenSep 02, 2009 8:43:35 | Mrew? I also appear to be here |
| #130The-Mage-KingSep 02, 2009 8:49:41 | I mean 4.0, you ignorant fool. I shall bravely lead the forces from the rear, insuring that nothing shall get behind us. |
| #131zombie_babiesSep 02, 2009 8:55:54 | Meh, 4.0 is ok enough that I'd not advocate war against it. Anime, otoh, we can ride against that anytime. That and Care Bears. |
| #132Ragnar_LodbrokSep 02, 2009 8:57:42 | *Stabs TMK from behind, and then holds up bloody bastard sword* I declare myself barbarian warlord of this army. I shall lead it against Disney and Cartoon Network! Who's with me! |
| #133The-Mage-KingSep 02, 2009 8:59:09 | Don't. We do not want any anime fans attacking us. They can be scary sometimes... And I, too, am a fan.
We are everywhere. You cannot escape.
|
| #134Ragnar_LodbrokSep 02, 2009 9:01:00 |
|
| #135zombie_babiesSep 02, 2009 9:12:46 |
They don't scare me. After all, an overly large portion of their lives is consumed by cartoons. Cartoons, man. You know, what kids watch. I'm not afraid of any toddler, so why would I fear an anime fan? BTW, it's not me that should be concerned with escape. It's you. If you're everywhere, you'll always need to deal with me. And that, my dear anime head, is something I wouldn't wish upon my most hated enemy. |
| #136The-Mage-KingSep 02, 2009 9:26:14 | Actually, I am one of the... How you say, lesser fans. I don't completely fillmy speech with honorifics and that stuff. I call a Captain a Captain, not a Taicho. Personally, I'm afraid of some of the others... And would you stop stabbing me? Even though a lich's body is nigh impossible to destroy, it's starting to ge to my nerves. |
| #137zombie_babiesSep 02, 2009 9:34:14 | Ahh. So you're not one of them, you're one of them. I get it. Cool. |
| #138The-Mage-KingSep 02, 2009 9:35:54 | Yes, I am a fan, not a fanboy. There is a huge difference. |

Much better. Say, when is National Talk Like A Pirate Day? |
| #148zombie_babiesSep 02, 2009 10:27:14 | International Talk Like a Pirate day is Sept 19th. It's listed on my calendar and also on the official OTTer Group calendar. Friends requests (and other crap of the like) can be set up so that an email is sent to you when you get them. I had mine set that way for a bit, but now that things have settled some I turned it off. You can do so by clicking on your profile tab and peeking into privacy, IIRC. |
| #149EscherEnigmaSep 02, 2009 12:09:23 | Hrm... I'd forgotten 'bout my GitP forum account. I should go update my avvy over there, bring it in line with the rest. |

| #155zephyrs_whimSep 03, 2009 11:56:18 | Mother of Chinchillas! I finally made it here! Zephyrswhim reporting. I haven't posted a lot, but that doesn't mean I should be thrown into this blasted thicket. I find these forums tough to navigate sometimes. |
| #156dirtyfrankSep 03, 2009 19:44:05 | Well, we done migrated. Let's see who's still 'ere, eh? So stand and be counted, OTTers. Let us know who's still around. I'm still here but I might not be here for much longer. We'll see how it goes. Chemistry demands that I have no life outside of chemistry. |
| #157EscherEnigmaSep 03, 2009 19:54:02 | I'm still here but I might not be here for much longer. We'll see how it goes. Chemistry demands that I have no life outside of chemistry. So how bad is the actual load? I've always heard the teachers claim that the class will consume your life, but normally it doesn't actually get that bad in practice. |
| #158dirtyfrankSep 03, 2009 20:06:22 | I'm still here but I might not be here for much longer. We'll see how it goes. Chemistry demands that I have no life outside of chemistry. The things that are due on week 3 are two lab writeups. One being a partial writeup and one being a full lab writeup. We also have the lab 3 prelab do that day. HW 2 is due the week after and HW 1 was due today. We spend about 3 hrs in lecture each week and about 6 hrs in lab each week. So each week we spend about 9 hrs, maybe a bit more, in chem. It is a 5 unit class so each student is expected to study chem for about 40 to 50 hrs outside of class each week in order to get a good grade such as an A or B. Now we also need to take into account that I have two other classes and a part time job. If I aim for an A, which I'm not, then I should be expected to spend about a total of about 50 to 60 hrs on chem each week (this is including both time in and out of class). Basically spending 2 to 2.5 full days each week on nothing but chem. IIRC we have one lab due each week and 4 of them are full lab writeups. I need to lookup how to do these. It also doesn't help that the last time I took chem was in the spring of 06 and I didn't study to hard then so I'm having to relearn everything. I'm just hoping I'm done with chem after this class. |
| #159EscherEnigmaSep 03, 2009 20:29:47 | Hrm... other then the study time it sounds about right for when I took Chem here at NMT. But 40-50 hours? Eh, that's overkill. Well, for me it's always been overkill. Different strokes for different folks and all that jazz. But other then that overly-conservative study hour estimate it sounds about right. so... /shrug Different experiences and all that. |
| #160dirtyfrankSep 03, 2009 20:35:35 | Well I will probably only study about 10 hrs a week. maybe. Those 10 hrs will of course consist of just getting my work done so that I can get to other assignments in other classes. Like as in Anthro I'm going to have to learn every bone in the human body. |
| #161zombie_babiesSep 04, 2009 9:08:19 | Well, we done migrated. Let's see who's still 'ere, eh? So stand and be counted, OTTers. Let us know who's still around. You'll be back when you're on break and after it's over though, no? Sometimes life takes precedence over diversion. It's all good. Do what you need to get the best grade you can and pop in when you find the time/energy to do so. That's about the best anyone can do, really. |
| #162dirtyfrankSep 04, 2009 9:26:19 | You'll be back when you're on break and after it's over though, no? It depends on how much I can remember everything and if I forget it or anything. but yeah I'll likely be back in force once the semester is over |
| #163zombie_babiesSep 04, 2009 9:28:50 | It depends on how much I can remember everything and if I forget it or anything. but yeah I'll likely be back in force once the semester is over Right on. If you miss any time here, we'll just have piggy keep yer spot warm. ![]() |
| #164dirtyfrankSep 04, 2009 9:36:11 | So yeah that means that I wouldn't really be back here much until about christmass or something. |
| #165zombie_babiesSep 04, 2009 9:37:39 |
Jeebus. That's some serious time. Maybe you should just drop Chem and hang out here more or something. ![]() |
| #166Cpt_MichaSep 04, 2009 9:40:53 | Wow that sucks dirtyfrank. |
| #167succubitavernSep 04, 2009 9:56:35 | but df what about taking the japanese language profeciency test and possible chance to get a japanese citizenship thing? |
| #168dirtyfrankSep 04, 2009 10:02:42 | yes it does suck. Well it's more of college just tends to suck in general. I'll be leaving in a bit to go to a chem study group to hopefully cut down on some of my overall study time. But still a lot of my studying is not studying studying but rather just getting the work done. Of course it doesn't help that the school decided about a year or two ago decided to be "cool" just like some universities round here and so they switched to the condensed schedule of shortening the semester by 2 weeks. the bad thing about this is that we have 2 less weeks to study and do homework and such. so basically the whole workload for the semester has been condensed which has made classes much harder. especially classes that are already considered to be tough. |
| #169dirtyfrankSep 04, 2009 10:03:34 | but df what about taking the japanese language profeciency test and possible chance to get a japanese citizenship thing? Ummmmm I don't know japanese. plus how would that help at all? |

Huh. It's just that you and a certain mayor have a similar way of ... communicating. Yeah, I guess we can call it that. As long as nobody's lookin', anyway. EDIT: Here's an example. |

| #184dirtyfrankSep 04, 2009 18:48:02 | well df didnt but something to minor in or theres always russian well you sort of did by kind of sayin' I should do it and now you're talkin about russian. What in your little head thinks I would even want to learn another language? Do you know how hard I struggle with my native language of English? A lot. It would only be worse trying to learn something else. Also I'm not majoring in chem so taking it is only temp. It will only take a few months of my life for I just need a chem course or two as a basis for physics. If I minor in anything it well be in math. why? because to someone like me math is at least 10 times, if not way more, easier to me than language is. Differential equations and multiple dimensional spaces are easy for me to deal with. doing calculus in my head is sort of easy. After 22 years of living I'm still trying to learn english and still am not doing to well. |
| #185succubitavernSep 04, 2009 21:01:25 | had any fun watching rambo parodies? |
| #186EscherEnigmaSep 05, 2009 0:17:19 |
Sure, go for it. If I don't like it, I'll declare it outside of my personal edition war-canon. As for appearances... Escher pretty much looked like a normal satyr, with the notable exception that he was constantly either in some strange outfit or wearing some random scarf like a loin-cloth. I think he dressed up as a mariachi once. |

| #207idhrinielSep 07, 2009 5:33:00 | Nah. You need one of those bawdy tavern songs that people sing when they get too drunk in a bar. ;) (The -ck at the end of "public" is to emphasize a clicking sound) |
| #208bo0kw0rmSep 07, 2009 8:08:45 |

EE has teh gay. I don't think lowbrow tavern songs about hairy and fat women would appeal to him. |
| #211idhrinielSep 07, 2009 9:45:34 | lol what if they werent about fat and hairy women, eh? |
| #212awesome_dudeSep 07, 2009 9:54:04 |
These songs are very hetero in nature. EE expressed an interest in drunkenly performing a Cher song, so I dunno, I figured maybe that's more his thing. I know one of my buddies (who is gay) doesn't want to hear any of my silly drinking songs (mostly Metallica, which ironically I can't stand when sober). We usually settle on Queen. |
| #213idhrinielSep 07, 2009 9:55:47 | dude queen is awesome. and i know at least 5 kids in my school that are gay. |

In 6th grade, we had to make a song out of helping verbs (I know you can't resist trying that now) My group did we will rock you. |
| #217idhrinielSep 07, 2009 11:27:35 | did you know that "twinkle twinkle little star," "ba ba black sheep," and the ABC's all have the same tune? and you can spell out onomatopoeia to the tune of old macdonald |
| #218EscherEnigmaSep 07, 2009 11:34:21 |
Hrm... bawdy tavern songs? Probably some variety of the Hedgehog Song (link to my favorite version, not for the delicate of sensibilities) then... But I think I'd probably just stick to old Cher or Madonna songs. Imagine a room full of drunken guys singing along to Madonna's Like a Virgin. Wait... Moulin Rouge already did that one. Um... Cher's Gypsies Tramps and Thieves then. |
| #219boj0Oct 13, 2009 8:42:29 | Ok so just to make a formal statement, my account works again (as you are reading this obviously); thus my alt account will no longer be seen (no more d11).
