Yeah, my mother forgot me at a friend's place once. No biggie. Happens; people have a lot on their minds these days.

That's a toddler. It's one thing to be forgetful. It's another to neglect to be certain that your toddler is with his father or mother or grandmother and not really care until a day or two later.

Obviously there isn't enough information to know exactly how the parents acted/reacted. But it doesn't seem like they were quick to do much.

I've had birthdays forgotten, and I've been forgotten at places before.

I dunno. I guess this happens more often than we think it does?
