| #1idhrinielAug 14, 2009 15:20:18 | This is it. The final battle. The one thing that will separate the men from the boys, the victor from the failure. It's on. You first, Bane. |
| #2baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 15:24:02 | We'll start up as soon as we figure out the way it'll work in our PMs. And also, if anyone else jumps in this to duke it out, then we gots to team up and keeel them, and then get back to killing each other. Also, I pick the songs that we battle to. |
| #3idhrinielAug 14, 2009 15:24:49 | Oh really? I've got some nice battle music going now. :D |
| #4baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 15:28:52 | Is it Metallica? If not, then it's not good 'nuff. A'ight. I'll start this off. (lvl 5 Male Human Duskblade) A lightly armored figure walked out on an empty grassland, impatiently waiting. Clad in leathers and light chain armour, the youth was clearly human. Carrying a massive sword in his hand, he looked about cautiously. With short cut, brown blond hair, fair skin, and a wiry build, it looked as though he shouldn't be able to even properly hold his blade. |
| #5idhrinielAug 14, 2009 15:34:53 | No..it's the House MD theme. :P Le'theriel (lvl 5 Drow Elf Priestess) Striding out onto the soon-to-be battlefield with a balanced gait is an elf, about five and a half feet tall and of a slight frame. But drow are all about deception, and the fact that Le'theriel is slight doesn't mean that she's weak. Her chainmail is light and supple, and her twin swords are lethal instruments in her hands. |
| #6baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 15:37:39 | (BTW, my character is about 5'6") Looking at his foe, he assumes an offensive position, with his greatsword held in a two handed grip above his head. Muttering a few words of power, his blade suddenly crackles with electrical energy. Wordlessly, he nods at the drow, as if challenging her to come to him. (Current Song: Get To The Gone [Static-X]) |
| #7idhrinielAug 14, 2009 15:40:20 | Le'theriel accepts the challenge, her head bowing in a solemn nod, but a cocky grin spreading across her face. She rushes ahead to meet the human, her two swords held out to her sides. Slightly before reaching him, she drops a globe of darkness over his head and stops silently, waiting for any sound to clue her into her opponent's location. |
| #8baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 15:47:04 | (Current Song: Twilight Of The Thunder God [Amon Amarth]) Muttering a curse under his breath, Thaden rushes out of the globe of darkness, holding his blade in a guard position. Looking about quickly, he tries to find his foe. |
| #9idhrinielAug 14, 2009 15:49:10 | Replacing one of her swords, she grabs a small, hand-held crossbow at her belt, with the bolt dipped in sleeping poison. Her acute hearing picked up the sound of cursing, and she fired in that direction. Little did her opponent know, but Le'theriel was still in the darkness globe. |
| #10baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 15:52:50 | (Current Song: Sacrilege [Otep]) Thaden felt a slight nick on his arm, and saw that a crossbow bolt had scratched him. Feeling a slight bout of drowsiness, he barely managed to fight it off. Gods-damned Drow. He thought to himself as he spoke the words to another spell. Let's see how you like this. As he finished the words to his spell, his vision heightened, and he spotted out a short figure in the globe of darkness. Charging forward, he put all of his muscle into his swing, attempting to slice his foe in half. (He cast Darkvision) |
| #11idhrinielAug 14, 2009 15:56:49 | Feeling the ground shake subtly under the charge of her foe, Le'theriel dives to the side, tossing a blade to the side, hoping - no, praying - that the sword would hit the target. She utters a spell of her own, and she is surrounded by a swarm of spiders, ready to do her bidding. "Go after the iblith," she tells them. |
| #12baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 15:59:40 | Twisting to dodge the blade, Thaden laughed. "It'll take more than cheap tricks to kill me, scum. Your surface elf cousins don't need to rely on such pathetic strategies to be able to hold their own in battle. At least they have some honor." He taunted in her own language. Crushing a few spiders beneath his boots, he swung at the pesky elf again, trying to thrust his blade through her heart. |
| #13idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:01:30 | Before he can make the final thrust, she shoves her foot into his chest and uses the leverage to propel herself into a backflip. She grins while looking at him, and in a moment, vanishes. |
| #14baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:03:13 | Walking out of the globe, Thaden held his sword in his initial stance, and closed his eyes, waiting. (Current song: Fish out of Water. [Mudvayne]) |
| #15idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:05:14 | She mumbles an invisibility spell and walks over to retrieve her fallen blade. Looking the human squarely in the eye, she limns him in purple flames. |
| #16baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:07:18 | Listening carefully, he heard the sound of footsteps, barely audible. Opening his eyes, he called out. "Come out and play, coward. Or are you too scared to actually fight?" |
| #17idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:08:38 | In response, she fires two hand crossbows, each with bolts tipped in poison, towards his face. She rolls out of the darkness globe with one sword in front of her. Gaining her feet immediately, she searches around for her foe. |
| #18baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:11:14 | Thaden's eyes widened as he suddenly saw two bolts emerge from thin air. Ducking underneath them, he began to mutter the words to another spell. (see invisibility) Seeing the leg of his enemy, he sent a powerful kick to her leg, and then swung his sword downward, intending to slice her skull in two. |
| #19idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:13:39 | Shooting her swords up into an X formation, Le'theriel deflects the blade intended to strike her skull. She looks at the human, smiles, and kicks him in the groin. |
| #20baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:18:29 | He grunted in anger and pain, and delivered a boot to the face, then disengaged. Backing up slowly, he spoke more arcane words, creating an electrical charge that crackled over his hands as well. If I can't kill this ***** with my sword, my hands will do just fine. He thought to himself. Holding his blade in one hand, he made a rude gesture, and readied himself for the next attack. |
| #21idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:21:44 | Her nose bleeding from the recent kick, she utters something in the drow tongue. The twin swords begin to crackle with energy, their wicked edges enhanced to deliver an even deadlier punch. With another spell, eight different figures of Le'theriel appeared, leaving the opponent guessing as to which of the nine she truly was. |
| #22baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:26:13 | (Current song: No Leaf Clover [Metallica]) Laughing at the elf's attempt to confuse him, Thaden picked up a handful of rocks and threw them in the general direction of the multiple enemies standing before him. "This is pathetic. Your kind are incapable of fighting with true skill. The reason that you're stuck in your little caves is just proof of that. A truly pathetic species, that should be wiped out." |
| #23idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:28:03 | Standing behind him, she says, "Is that so, iblith? You are nothing but a fool." She rests one hand on his shoulder and presses a blade against his spine. |
| #24baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:31:48 | Kicking backwards viciously, he delivers another powerful blow to her leg, but not before her blade could pierce his skin, creating a painful wound. Ignoring his injury, he roughly grabbed her by her face, delivering the electrical charge that he contained within his hands. "That's right. No skill, just cheap tricks. That's all you can do. Unless you'd like to prove otherwise." Letting go of her face, he sent another kick towards her face. |
| #25idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:34:05 | She dodges the kick and uses the sword to slice his heel as the foot passes. As she does a turn around his back, she attempts to stab the back of his knee. |
| #26baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:37:47 | As the sword sliced through his boot, narrowly missing the bottom of his foot, he deflected the other sword with his own blade. Planting his feet on her, he performed a backflip. Kicking his boots off, he smirked at his foe and yawned theatrically. Muttering a few more words, a blue aura lit up his blade. |
| #27idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:42:14 | "The drow have access to artifacts you can only dream of, human!" she says, cackling hysterically. She opens a coffer at her belt, and within it is a black sapphire: a sapphire which contains the antimagic energies from the Time of Troubles. "Unlike other races, we don't hesitate to applaud demonic pacts." With that, she walks away from him and aims a fully loaded crossbow at his face. "Any last words?" |
| #28pigknightAug 14, 2009 16:43:48 | ((*<(^o^)>* Idh, Idh she's our girl! If she can't do it no one can! Go Idh! *<(^o^)>*)) |
| #29baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:44:07 | "****. You." He said. He then charged toward the elf, leaped into the air, and thrust his sword toward the drow's chest, magical energies helping to guide his blade true, and the crackling lightning hungering to unleash itself. |
| #30dirtyfrankAug 14, 2009 16:44:39 | Are you two done circle jerking? |
| #31baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:45:19 | Are you two done circle jerking? (it's a battle, not crappy romance, so it ain't circle jerkin') |
| #32dirtyfrankAug 14, 2009 16:46:51 | (it's a battle, not crappy romance, so it ain't circle jerkin') To me a battle between a man and a woman is nothing more than a sexual euphemism cuz that's the only way I've ever really seen them presented, so is the circle jerking about done? |
| #33idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:47:42 | The crossbow was actually her sword, concealled with a simple illusion spell. She unleashes the snake-headed whip granted to all of Lolth's high priestesses, and lashes out once, twice, and a third time. She gauges the length of the greatsword, and leans back as the human advances. |
| #34pigknightAug 14, 2009 16:47:44 | ((I agree with DF on this one.)) |
| #35baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:48:11 | To me a battle between a man and a woman is nothing more than a sexual euphemism cuz that's the only way I've ever really seen them presented, so is the circle jerking about done? (but it's a fight to the death, not that kind of "fight". So it ain't sexual in any way, shape or form. So it ain't circle jerkin. And if you don't like what's in the thread, don't read it.) |
| #36idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:48:16 | ((*<(^o^)>* Idh, Idh she's our girl! If she can't do it no one can! Go Idh! *<(^o^)>*)) (thanks for the support :D) |
| #37pigknightAug 14, 2009 16:49:29 | ((There's swords. That's a euphamism if there ever was one.)) |
| #38dirtyfrankAug 14, 2009 16:49:39 | (but it's a fight to the death, not that kind of "fight". So it ain't sexual in any way, shape or form. So it ain't circle jerkin. And if you don't like what's in the thread, don't read it.) But aren't you trying to stick your massive sword into her? ;) |
| #39baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:51:10 | Ignoring the stinging bites of the whip, Thaden altered the angle of his blade to strike the sapphire. Twisting around, he slammed into the elf, avoiding her extended arm, knocking her to the ground. Quickly leaping back to his feet, he raced toward the sapphire, which was oddly still in perfect condition. |
| #40idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:51:10 | But aren't you trying to stick you massive sword into her? ;) Without pause, Le'theriel thrusts her extra sword into Dirtyfrank's chest. |
| #41XeadinAug 14, 2009 16:52:25 | But aren't you trying to stick your massive sword into her? ;) DROP IT, YOU GUYS, and leave baneofelves and Idhriniel to do their own thing. It's a D&D battle- not a playboy contest! Sheesh! ![]() |
| #42baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:52:26 | But aren't you trying to stick your massive sword into her? ;) (You notice that he's actually been kicking her more than using actual weapons. He pretty much gave up using his sword on her. He's just using his spells to hurt her.) EDIT: Thanks, Xeadin. *hands Xeadin an internet* Spend it wisely. |
| #43idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:52:55 | "Thought you could destroy such a powerful artifact just like that?" She whispers a prayer to the Spider Queen, and a portal opens between her and the enemy. |
| #44baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:54:32 | Grabbing the sapphire, he threw it with all his strength, sending it sailing through the sky, splashing into a distant river. "I'm not an idiot. I just wanted it away from you." |
| #45XeadinAug 14, 2009 16:55:04 | EDIT: Thanks, Xeadin. *hands Xeadin an internet* Spend it wisely. (nods in confusion) Okay...? |
| #46pigknightAug 14, 2009 16:55:31 | ((Can I pop in to help out Idh? :P Mostly to screw with Bane...not like that!)) |
| #47baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:55:33 |
(it means that you are master of the internets for today) EDIT Pigknight: (she's doing fine on her own. We already have an agreement to kill anyone else that decides to jump in.) |
| #48idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:56:38 | Ignoring the statement, she growls, "Glabrezu" repeatedly. Within moments, a mighty demon steps from the portal. "Meet the one who gave me that sapphire." While she looked her arch-nemesis in the eye, the sapphire returned to her waiting hand. |
| #49XeadinAug 14, 2009 16:56:57 | (it means that you are master of the internets for today) Oh... Okay! I sure will. Thanks! Now off to the Lords of Creation... |

| #51baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 16:57:57 | Ignoring the statement, she growls, "Glabrezu" repeatedly. Within moments, a mighty demon steps from the portal. "Meet the one who gave me that sapphire." While she looked her arch-nemesis in the eye, the sapphire returned to her waiting hand. (WHOAHWHOAHWHOAH! How can a level 5 cleric summon a glabrezu? They don't get the spell that lets them do that.) |
| #52dirtyfrankAug 14, 2009 16:59:29 | (You notice that he's actually been kicking her more than using actual weapons. He pretty much gave up using his sword on her. He's just using his spells to hurt her.) No, I haven't been reading your circle jerking. Also, all RPing is suppose to be done in the PbP haven are of the boards. I should probably make a request for this thread to be moved. Although I am a bit too lazy..... |
| #53idhrinielAug 14, 2009 16:59:57 | (WHOAHWHOAHWHOAH! How can a level 5 cleric summon a glabrezu? They don't get the spell that lets them do that.) (ignore this in character: illusions are lethal if you believe in them [aka its just an illusion, but your character entirely believes it] shhh) |
| #54pigknightAug 14, 2009 17:00:08 | (( :O Idh is a cheat?! Oh my! EDIT: Nevermind.)) |
| #55idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:01:43 | (lol evil drow, remember???? one of lolth's blessed :ayyyy!![]() |
| #56pigknightAug 14, 2009 17:02:10 | ((And she has a whip! :blush ) |
| #57baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 17:02:13 | (ahh) Staring at the demon, Thaden felt his blood go cold. Barely maintaining his composure, he began to laugh. "Pathetic! You have to call for help now? Who's next? That **** of a goddess that you demean yourself by praying to?" |
| #58idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:05:21 | "Laughing in the face of danger. I like that trait in people...unless their males. Much less if they're colnbluth." With that, she grins, an evil, deadly grin, and a globe of darkness drops over the human's head once again, but the ensuing attack is different. Le'theriel levitates beyond the sword's reach, and aims her whip towards the head of the adversary. |
| #59idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:06:03 | ((And she has a whip! :blush (lol its a whip that would eat ur face) |
| #60baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 17:09:12 | Feeling another stinging bite of the whip, this time on his cheek, Thaden snarled in fury. Feeling a decent sized rock by his foot, he picked it up as he dashed out of the globe. Flinging it at the priestess, he began to taunt her. "You don't like it when a man stands up to you? Hah! My my my, it seems that the little drow princess' sensibilities have been offended! Or is it that your race fears men, which is why you condition them to be subservient? Just another reason that your kind needs to be wiped out: a lack of equality!" |
| #61pigknightAug 14, 2009 17:09:28 | ((Smexy.)) |
| #62dirtyfrankAug 14, 2009 17:10:05 | Without pause, Le'theriel thrusts her extra sword into Dirtyfrank's chest. I'm not circle jerking with you two. |
| #63idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:16:57 | Suddenly, she ends her levitation spell. Dropping to the ground, she says, "It's not us that make men subservient...it's Lolth. The will of the Queen of Spiders is our will." Uttering a brief arcane phrase, a giant black spider rises up from the ground behind her. "Kill the human. I don't care how at this point. You too, my demon ally." The glabrezu grins and begins walking toward the human. "Three against one. Fair odds, don't you think?" ((REMEMBER: demon friend is just an illusion, but Thayden doesn't know that!!)) |
| #64baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 17:20:43 | "Just proves how pathetic you are to serve that psychotic *****." Thaden commented lightly, nervousness entering his voice. Swinging his sword at the demon, he was puzzled as the blade easily carved through it's flesh. Wait. Demons are immune to electrical attacks, and I need an enchanted blade to cut this bad boy up....... Looking at the spider, then the drow, his confidence returns. Slicing the spider in two, he laughed. "I think it's more like one on one, isn't it?" Muttering a few more words, electricity raced across his sword again. |
| #65XeadinAug 14, 2009 17:26:11 | (Oh, boy- looks like somebody just spilled the beans... ) |
| #66idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:27:58 | ((WARNING: If you have read R. A. Salvatore's The Legend of Drizzt Book I: Homeland, this spell will sound familiar. We return now to scheduled programming.)) "Dinnen douward ma brechen tol, abec di'n'a'breg douward!" A powerful wave of force bursts out from her, and lightning shoots from her fingers. "See what it means to anger Lolth, pitiful human!?" she exclaims, her eyes wide with adrenaline. |
| #67baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 17:31:14 | ((****)) Blasted off of his feet by the wave of force, he slowly forces himself to his feet. Laughing even as he's struck by the lightning, Thaden slowly advances toward his enemy. Trying to ignore the pain, he layers enchantment upon enchantment over his blade. As he nears the drow, he raises his blade, and swing viciously. (btw, if we don't finish this today, I'm gonna have to log off at 4.) |
| #68idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:33:48 | A six-headed whip lashes at his face, fangs digging in and injecting a paralyzing venom that can disable all but the most valiant of opponents. It lashes out again and again, digging creases into the skin. |
| #69baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 17:36:33 | Screaming in pain, he strikes the whip with the blade, cutting it in half. Kicking the elf onto her rear, he places his sword just beneath her chin. "Now, it's my turn. See, I don't expect an early victory. Overconfidence kills. Any last words?" As he spoke, blood slid down from his lip, and his speech was halting. |
| #70idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:40:10 | She looks him in the eye, gradually sliding the blade off of her throat. She gets up and knocks her adversary over. She plants one boot on his chest, the other on the arm wielding the sword, and places her own sword at his throat. "I don't. Do you?" The look in her eyes promised death should any move be made. |
| #71baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 17:43:20 | Leaning back, he swung his sword at her main hand blade, chopping it in half. Grabbing her by the back of her head (as painfully as possible, of course), he tossed her to her feet. Backing up a few paces, he points his sword at her. "Wrong move." |
| #72idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:47:47 | A dagger, held behind her back, rushes into Thayden's chest. The wound is fatal, and she withdraws the blade slowly, to increase the pain. "And I say checkmate," she says as she walks out of the blade's range. "It's a shame. You were a....worthy opponent." |
| #73baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 17:53:20 | "Idiot." Thaden muttered. "You think that you've won. You should have picked a more efficient method of killing me." Tackling his distracted enemy, he plunged his sword through her spine. "You aren't the only one favored by a god. And I'm not that easy to kill." Getting back to his feet, he brutally ripped his sword out of her back, then decapitated her. A slight red glow in his irises, he let out a primal howl of fury, then kicked the head of his dead foe with all of his might. "Now all I have to do is wait. They'll come to patch me up. They said they wouldn't let me die till I fulfilled my destiny. And I know it's not to die here, at the hands of this nobody." Laying on the grass, he gazed at the stars, waiting. |
| #74idhrinielAug 14, 2009 17:57:45 | There was a whisper in Thayden's head. "This isn't over, valiant fool. You know it." With those last words, Le'theriel's voice died out forever...or did it? |
| #75baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 18:00:39 | ((That was total god-mode there. That really killed the excitement of this whole exercise. It takes a while to bleed to death from the kind of wound you delivered, so it makes sense that he still had time to finish you off. That, though. No. When you hit an illusion, your weapon goes straight through it, so even a fighter would know if it wasn't real. RA Salvatore bent the rules on illusions for his novels. and they've been fighting for waaaaaaaaaaay too long for the illusion to last that long. We aren't epic, remember? Just level 5 and 6.)) |

| #83baneofelvesAug 14, 2009 18:13:05 | Bane would trash Lloyd, Piggy. He is insanely strong at the peak of his power, and he only died in the EW because I got tired of him. It made no sense for the character at all. I started running him again this last week, and he finally got a death that was fitting. He didn't go evil, instead he was a true hero that got over his issues (I started up where he was at before the EW) and died a hero's death. |
