The second link he posted, the same as your link, doesn't seem to be able to handle a PDF that is larger than 2 pages. Most of the stuff I want doesn't get converted. It's just missing.

The problem with converting a pdf to anything is that pdf very closely resembles an image format.  You could try using Calibre to convert it to rtf and then convert the rtf to doc. It doesn't work every time, but I've had some luck converting pdf to rtf in the past.

#16 The_Silversword Jul 01, 2013 1:04:47	Before you send adobe money, a few companys have trial versions that you can try before you buy. IM currentyl using pdfPhantom, its seems to work pretty good at editing pdfs, im pretty sure it can convert pdf to word as well.

It was free... kind of.  I destroyed my previous laptop, but since I had paid for the insurance at Best Buy, they just gave me the money and I got the Mac. I looked at some PCs, but Windows 8 was terrible. So I got the Mac. I've never used Linux, so I wouldn't be sure what to do.
#23 jetshield Jul 01, 2013 8:37:26	If you want to try out a Linux distro, but aren't sure you're ready to actually install the OS to your HDD, you can use a LiveCD to test it out without making any changes to your hard drive. Just download the ISO and burn it to CD/DVD. Then boot the computer from the CD/DVD. You could even run it from a flash drive, but that's a little more complicated. I recommend Lubuntu. You can get the Mac version here. Ok. Off to work.

I've heard it actually works as intended on tablets, but I don't care much for those. But, going by Microsoft's established OS pattern, the next iteration of Windows should be very nice.
