Mar 19, 2010 8:40:43 I have been sent an invitation by the Peace Corps, one of the final steps in the process before I leave the USA for service in another nation.

I received this message;

Peace Corps sent you an invitation kit on March 18, 2010. Within 10 days of receiving your kit, please call us regarding your decision to accept or decline our invitation. If we do not hear from you within this period, the assignment may be offered to another applicant.

Bulgaria.

I will be going to Bulgaria. It was not what I expected, but I am looking forewords to this and the opportunity it presents.

I do not know where in Bulgaria I will be going, not yet at any rate. I will be working in a community and development program, assisting NGOs, businesses, community groups and the like.

More research and study is required before I go. For one thing, I want to start some Bulgarian language program, but Rosetta Stone does not offer that language so I am casting about for an alternative. Once I have a solid idea of where I will be going and what will be available, I will decide if I can do things like take a my laptop computer, an RPG and a camera with me.
