I heard this story this morning.  This woman should get an award.  And the manager should get a new job.

On a related note...  black olives, green olives, feta cheese.  Try it.  It's a-fricking-mazing, particularly from Jet's.

Olives are nasty. Just my opinion.

That delivery driver is one cool chick.

Why would an 82 year old woman order a large pizza every day for 3 years?

... wait, is she eating the pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner?  That's... probably not a healthy diet.  Ah well, I suppose when you're that old you can figure "eh, like it'll shave that much (relatively) off my life."

Still, awesome on the delivery girl.

If I make it to, say, 80, I fully intend to resume smoking (if it's still possible).  Cuz why not.  And who the hell wants to 'live' to over 100 anyway.

LMAO so true!

Not to mention the fact that whenever they interview someone who's lived super-long, they always say something like "I eat a package of bacon every morning for breakfast, drink a fifth of gin every night, and smoke a pack of cigarettes for lunch." LOL.

It's really nice to see that someone pays attention and takes the initiative to check up on someone who's old.

Yes the girl.

Though the consumption of infinite pizza is also something I tradtionally have been a strong advocate for, I was looking at a higher goal for once.

LMAO.  I know!  But it happens all the time - people do the craziest crap to their bodies, and end up living forever!

Maybe it's all the preservatives?

George Burns made it to like 100 (or close enough to it) and he constantly smoked cigars.  He's an inspiration to us all.

Honestly, though, it's been my experience that advanced age is no picnic - even when you've got a loving family, your health and you've not had any issue with diminishing mental capability.  My grandmother was done before 90.  She made it to 92.  Every time I saw her she'd tell me she was over it.  Just hangin' in there cuz that's how life was goin'.  She was happy enough and had seen and done enough to be finished.  I imagine I'll be the same way - especially considering I've met more than her that felt that way.  I've also seen the sadder side of things when it's basically all bad.  Alzheimers and cancer and all of that.  Why would you, after facing so much and doing so much, want to suffer through that.  It's not fair.  So, sign me up for a cigar of the month club.  Hell, add a scotch of the month club, too.  If I'm goin' out after that amount of time, I'd prefer it to be as close to on my terms as possible.  And I'd like to do it happy - with a lungful of tasty smoke and a gullet packed with tasty food and drink.  We should all be so lucky. ;)

Ah, but coke, so I hear, has some effects that inspire certain desires that the body, by that time, won't be able to properly satisfy.  That's no kind of fun.  Unless you're lookin' to really yell the hell out of those kids that won't keep off your damn lawn, I can't see that being any sort of a good time.

You've never heard of Viagra? I'll be 80 years old, coked-out and, constantly pointing North.

And yes, I intend to yell the hell out of those kids to stay off my damn lawn.

it also has a propensity to induce a need to evacuate at inoportune times. though at correct miniscule doses you can avoid those side-effects, its benefit is practically null. the scotch and cigars could be enough seasoning to blowing your kid's inheritance on 18-yr olds.

That's not all it does, though.  Nervous energy typically inspires movement - something older folk typically don't enjoy as much as the younger ones.  And you'd likely jitterbug your dentures right out of your ever softening skull, too.

Never heard tell of that,  And yeah, good scotch and fine cigars ain't cheap.  They don't, however, have the same pull a li'l nose candy does with the 18 year ol' flesh peddlers.  ;)

I bet I could find something to do when this is happening that an 18 year old would appreciate.

Not on spoons, but if you get rid of the S in spoon, you'll get a better idea.
