| #2The_SilverswordMay 27, 2013 22:48:37 | Thats so sad, but still kinda cool she got to read it after all those years. |
| #3draco1119May 27, 2013 23:00:20 | Yeah, it is. ![]() |
| #4homicidal_squirrelMay 27, 2013 23:12:24 | Military efficiency at its best. ![]() |
| #5The_SilverswordMay 27, 2013 23:40:02 | Im betting the post office had somethig to do with it as well. |
| #6homicidal_squirrelMay 28, 2013 8:06:15 | Something tells me the diary never made it to the post office. ;) |
| #7The_SilverswordMay 28, 2013 12:01:27 | Well yeah, I was just making a joke about the slowness and inefficency of the U.S. Postal Service. |
| #8homicidal_squirrelMay 28, 2013 16:20:49 | Sure, but for the joke to work, the postal service would have had to have had the diary in its possesion. It doesn't appear that ever happened, thus your joke failed. Now cry! Cry like a little girl!!! ![]() |
| #9draco1119May 28, 2013 16:39:04 | I just blame the Marine for forgetting to write that "70 years later" part. Everyone knows Marines are kinda... Not smart. Just ask Hoodsie or naga. |
| #10CorranHornIsAwesomeMay 28, 2013 16:59:42 | I just blame the Marine for forgetting to write that "70 years later" part. Everyone knows Marines are kinda... Not smart. Just ask Hoodsie or naga. Why? Was Hoodsie a Marine? |

| #12draco1119May 28, 2013 18:44:31 | Hoodsie was Army. |
| #13CorranHornIsAwesomeMay 28, 2013 19:21:56 | Seems like he'd be a good fit for the Marines. ![]() |

Also, I have great taste in beer. |
| #20The_SilverswordMay 29, 2013 23:45:36 | Wait, wait, thats not what you said, I distinctly rember hearing something about buying me a beer. |
| #21homicidal_squirrelMay 29, 2013 23:49:35 | Wait, wait, thats not what you said, I distinctly rember hearing something about buying me a beer. I think you've had enough to drink. You're obviously imagining things. |
| #22The_SilverswordMay 29, 2013 23:54:25 | Im still capable of making (mostly) coherent sentences, obviously not enough to drink. |
| #23homicidal_squirrelMay 30, 2013 0:05:51 | What's your point? |
| #24The_SilverswordMay 30, 2013 1:26:41 | Uhm? I was making a point!? |
| #25zombie_babiesMay 30, 2013 9:14:37 | Finally tried that Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout and ... it is better than that one beer we can't type out cuz they think it's a racial slur. Seriously impressed. Oh, also had some Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout. Better than the ale. It's finished in bourbon barrels, of course, but it's also brewed with coffee and aged with coffee, too. Neat stuff. |
| #26The_SilverswordMay 30, 2013 12:13:28 | See? I told you that Oatmeal stout was some good stuff. I almost picked up some of the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout, but the coffee beans kinda turned me off, I was thinking what is this the Drew Carrey show or something? But if you say it was good, guess I'll give em a try. |
| #27zombie_babiesMay 30, 2013 12:17:47 | It wasn't bad. At first the coffee hits you strong but it sort of mellows as you drink it. Whether that's a function of the brewing process or a function of the 8% alcohol I'm not entirely sure but I also don't care. ![]() But yeah, me an' a buddy shared one of them SSOSs and agreed it was better than you know what. Very smooth with good flavor. I will definitely be having another down the road. |

I also want to try the Samuel Smitth, but I haven't found it. That is to say, I keep forgetting to look for it. But yeah, me an' a buddy shared one of them SSOSs and agreed it was better than you know what. Very smooth with good flavor. I will definitely be having another down the road. The beer that can't be named is alright. It's not a big deal, really. |

That is to say, I keep forgetting to look for it. Both are pretty good. I liked the KBBS better but it's got a flavor to it so it'd be harder to drink a lot of. The SS stuff is something I kept forgetting to look for, too, and somehow remembered. Giant Eagle actually had it. It's not half bad, that's for sure. I like the KBB stuff cuz it's interesting and different, yanno? With the Ale you can actually taste the bourbon - in fact, the beer tastes more like a very, very mild bourbon than a beer. It's just sorta sweet and that makes it hard for me to drink. Still, it's neat. The beer that can't be named is alright. It's not a big deal, really. It's pretty good. The nicest thing about it is that a lot of bars carry it on tap so you can actually drink in a bar and not look like a moronic frat boy. |

There are some beers that just add extra stuff afterwards to give a special flavor. That Shocktop garbage does it. I hate that stuff. It's pretty good. The nicest thing about it is that a lot of bars carry it on tap so you can actually drink in a bar and not look like a moronic frat boy. Yeah, but that's why you avoid going to bars that don't have a good beer choice. But yeah, it isn't a bad beer, it just isn't anything special either. It's a good beer to get if you can't get anything else that isn't garbage. |

There are some beers that just add extra stuff afterwards to give a special flavor. That Shocktop garbage does it. I hate that stuff. Yeah, I'm super into bitters myself. Love IPAs and Double IPAs, for example. The sweetest I like to go is a wheat or white ale from time to time. But yeah, that KBBAle is really good. It threw me a little bit last time cuz I had a couple KBBStouts and some SSOS before I went to the Ale. If (ok, probably when) I have the two again I'll start with the Ale and move on to the more bitter Stout. And yeah, I hate added crap. If you can make your booze taste like grapefruit cuz of the hopps? Hells yes. Don't, though, add juice - like that shandy stuff that's so popular now. KBB is the real deal. They use barrels and make a qualityr product. Even the stout is aged with coffee and what's added is done during the brewing process - not after. No cheap stuff. Yeah, I prefer the bitters, but sometimes the sweetness helps accentuate the bitterness in the beer. I still has to be done properly though. It's it's a good beer, they will know how to balance that sweetness. If it's a bad beer, it'll be terribly sweet and sscre up the flavors. There is an apple version of that Shocktop garbage. I tried it one time. It tasted like extra sweet fizzy apple juice. That was just terrible. The owner of a barbecue place I used to go gave me one for free so I would try it. I don't go there any more. He also went out of business. And yeah, I hate added crap. If you can make your booze taste like grapefruit cuz of the hopps? Hells yes. More reason we need to open our school. ;) I went to a buddy's house over the weekend and he wanted to pick up some beer. We went to a gas station - hold on, they carry some Great Lakes stuff and occasionally Sierra Nevada - anyhoo, he picks out some Angry Orchard. I'm like, dood I can't drink that crap cuz it's too sweet. He's all like it isn't that sweet but ok, let's get some Summer Shandy. I'm like, dood that's too sweet too! He didn't think so so we got it. It's sweet. Beer + lemonade may be great for non-beer drinkers but it sure don't do me no good. ;) I have to try that KBB. Maybe I'll find some this weekend. Yes you do. Good luck, too. It's really worth it. Oh, get both if you can. |

I'd imagine ading lemonade would make PBR taste better because you wouldn't taste the PBR. Yes you do. Good luck, too. It's really worth it. Oh, get both if you can. Yes! ![]() |
| #35The_SilverswordMay 30, 2013 22:53:38 | Yeah Ive tried that Summer Shandy crap, gah!, Whoever thought that Lemonade and beer would go well together needs to be shot! I also tried some of that Angry Orchard stuff, it aint too bad, its got more of a tartness to it than sweet, but Its more like drinking a wine cooler, I wouldnt count it as a beer, or a hard cider or whatever theyre trying to market it as, but still it aint too bad, definitly better than the summer shandy, ugh, im getting sick to my stomach just thinking about it. And yeah the G-word is awesome on tap, for some reason anytime i get it in bottles or cans it just tastes flat, if you can find it on tap someplace go for it! |

Yeah, Angry Orchard has a bit of a sweet tartness. It's not bad, but my limit is one. Just not my style of drink. As for the Shandy stuff, yeah, terrible. I just can't fathom wanting to drink lemonade mixed with beer. Seriously, if you want beer, have a beer. If you want lemonade, have a lemonade. And yeah the G-word is awesome on tap, for some reason anytime i get it in bottles or cans it just tastes flat, if you can find it on tap someplace go for it! I think a lot of beers suffer from bottles and cans. |
