But yeah, me an' a buddy shared one of them SSOSs and agreed it was better than you know what. Very smooth with good flavor. I will definitely be having another down the road.
It wasn't bad. At first the coffee hits you strong but it sort of mellows as you drink it. Whether that's a function of the brewing process or a function of the 8% alcohol I'm not entirely sure but I also don't care.

It threw me a little bit last time cuz I had a couple KBBStouts and some SSOS before I went to the Ale. If (ok, probably when) I have the two again I'll start with the Ale and move on to the more bitter Stout.
And yeah, I hate added crap. If you can make your booze taste like grapefruit cuz of the hopps? Hells yes. Don't, though, add juice - like that shandy stuff that's so popular now. KBB is the real deal. They use barrels and make a qualityr product. Even the stout is aged with coffee and what's added is done during the brewing process - not after. No cheap stuff.

It's it's a good beer, they will know how to balance that sweetness. If it's a bad beer, it'll be terribly sweet and sscre up the flavors. There is an apple version of that Shocktop garbage. I tried it one time. It tasted like extra sweet fizzy apple juice. That was just terrible. The owner of a barbecue place I used to go gave me one for free so I would try it. I don't go there any more. He also went out of business.

He didn't think so so we got it. It's sweet. Beer + lemonade may be great for non-beer drinkers but it sure don't do me no good. ;)

A shandy just sounds like someone was trying to mask the taste of some terrible beer they were having. I'd imagine ading lemonade would make PBR taste better because you wouldn't taste the PBR.

Yeah Ive tried that Summer Shandy crap, gah!, Whoever thought that Lemonade and beer would go well together needs to be shot! I also tried some of that Angry Orchard stuff, it aint too bad, its got more of a tartness to it than sweet, but Its more like drinking a wine cooler, I wouldnt count it as a beer, or a hard cider or whatever theyre trying to market it as, but still it aint too bad, definitly better than the summer shandy, ugh, im getting sick to my stomach just thinking about it.
Yeah, Angry Orchard has a bit of a sweet tartness. It's not bad, but my limit is one. Just not my style of drink.
As for the Shandy stuff, yeah, terrible. I just can't fathom wanting to drink lemonade mixed with beer. Seriously, if you want beer, have a beer. If you want lemonade, have a lemonade.
