To be fair, I wasn't actually talking at the time. He requested I bring some technical reports and presentations I had worked on during school, and was looking them over. Those things are sleep-aids by nature.
And yeah, I could have gotten away with not wearing the suit. There were three other guys there for a site visit that day (we all got the same HR briefing at the beginning of the day and split-up from there) and the other two recent college-grads were both in polos. One of the guys was in a suit, but he'd actually been working in the industry for fifteen years or so.

That's not passing out, that's falling asleep. Trust me, as someone who has recently experienced passing out first-hand they are not the same thing.

Sounds like you need a more stable job if you are used to it.
The falling asleep part is obvious, but your other points don't really apply. The number of interviewers and whether they read or not isn't relevant, except for the fact that reading puts this guy to sleep.

To me that says you did right. Lotsa young'ns today don't know proper procedure. Many don't even own a suit. So yeah, were I conducting the interview I'd have actually noted that and seen it as a sign that you at the very least to the interview seriously. I can't speak for sleepy man, but that's what I'd have seen.
My worst interview ever: Police Chief and Liutenant. Oh my god, I felt like they were trying to get me to confess to something. It was a terrible experience and I, like, totally blew it. But that was a good thing. At that point in my life I was nowhere near ready for what I was trying to do.
