So begins the Oath of Enlistment for the U.S. military, but in an explosive interview with a National Guard whistle blower shown below, soldiers are now being advised they will be ordered to break that oath should civil unrest erupt across the country. Referred to only as “Soldier X” under promise of anonymity, an Army National Guardsman spoke via phone with Infowars Nightly News Producer Rob Dew regarding a recent briefing his unit underwent on actions the military would take in the event that an Obama election loss sparked rioting in America’s streets. Citing not only recent widespread threats to riot if Mitt Romney were to become the next U.S. president, but threats to actually assassinate him should he win, Soldier X’s superiors dispensed plans of how the National Guard would be responsible for “taking over” and quelling such unrest. The soldiers were reportedly told “Doomsday preppers will be treated as terrorists.” In addition, guns will be confiscated. “They have a list compiled of all these doomsday preppers that have gone public and they plan to go after them first,” Soldier X said. He claimed those in charge are acting under the belief that preppers will be “the worst part” of any potential civil unrest. Soldier X was also told that any soldiers in the ranks who are known as preppers will be deemed “defects.” He explained the label meant these soldiers would be treated as traitors. “If you don’t conform, they will get rid of you,” he added. Unit members also warned not to associate with any fellow soldiers who are preppers. Not only does the military reportedly plan to target preppers should mass chaos break out, but Soldier X also voiced his concerns regarding civilian gun confiscation. Soldier X admitted, “Our worry is that Obama’s gonna do what he said he’s gonna do and he’s gonna outlaw all weapons altogether and anybody’s name who is on a weapon, they’re gonna come to your house and try to take them.” It would not be the first time the National Guard has been used to unconstitutionally disarm law-abiding citizens, robbing them of their Second Amendment right to bear arms. In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, police and military took to the streets disarming lawful gun owners, including those who were on dry land and had plenty of stored food and water. Fast forward to this past summer when a leaked Army manual dated 2006 entitled, “Civil Disturbance Operations” surfaced outlining plans not only to confiscate firearms domestically during mass unrest, but to actually detain and even kill American citizens who refuse to hand over their guns. This manual works in conjunction with “FM 3-39.40 Internment and Resettlement Operations,” another Army manual leaked this year, which instructs troops on how to properly detain and intern Americans into re-education camps, including ways that so-called “psy-op officers” will “indoctrinate” incarcerated “political activists” into developing an “understanding and appreciation of U.S. policies and actions.” Add these manuals to the plethora of Executive Orders Obama has signed during his term which have dismantled our Constitution piece by piece, including the martial law implementing National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order which gives the president the power to confiscate citizens’ private property in the event of any national emergency, including economic. Add it all to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in which Obama granted powers to disappear and indefinitely detain American citizens without any due process, and it is easy to see the tyrannical big picture our government has painted. When asked if he would go along with gun confiscation, Soldier X replied he and his fellow like-minded guardsmen planned to stand down — not answer the phone or show up to post. “I’m sorry but I don’t believe in suicide,” he said. Preppers are becoming regular government targets these days, most recently when a Missisippi prepper group member with a clean record was suddenly taken off his flight halfway to Japan and informed he was on the no-fly list, an FBI terrorist watchlist, stranding him in Hawaii. Other preppers have been denied their Second Amendment rights without legitimate cause. It is beyond glaringly obvious at this point the U.S. government is gearing up for mass civil unrest. Not only has the DHS sparked controversy by purchasing billions of rounds of ammo, but the department even went so far as to begin classifying further purchases, blacking out bullet figures it is using taxpayer money to buy. In addition, while FEMA can procure a billion dollars in bulk food supplies, the FBI’s Communities Against Terrorism project released a flier instructing military surplus store owners to report any customers who “make bulk purchases of items” including “meals ready to eat”. Should society as we know it collapse following the election, it would seem the ultimate prepper and the ultimate terrorist is, indeed, the U.S. government. |
| #2zombie_babiesOct 25, 2012 12:09:06 | Wut? Preppers aren't a danger. They'll hide if there's any trouble - that's what they do. Militia groups will be a whole different thing, however. Guys like the Watchmen will be running around doing 'extractions' to get 'people in need' to 'safety'. Those are the nuts you gotta worry about. Preppers by their nature are the least of your worries - unless you go after them. |

| #6lokiareOct 26, 2012 6:44:00 | N'importe quoi. Well I was digging a huge underground complex below my trailer house, but then I saw the article where they jailed the guy that did that. Then I thought about building a shelter in the woods and saw a guy get shot for doing that. I started a front yard garden but saw they arrest people for that. Basically I'm taking my almost non-existent money and buying up 20lb. bags of beans and rice. I live in a low population area though, so I doubt the rioting will affect me out here. I'm more worried about Bernanke's QEU (Quantitative Easing Unlimited) that he announced a while back. After a year or two of it people will be using the dollar as toilet paper... ![]() Besides Obama isn't going to win, he's served his purpose which is to focus the hate on him, rather than on the corporations and banks that bought and paid for him through the lobby's. The same banks and corporations that own Romney. |

| #8lokiareOct 26, 2012 7:07:20 | I missed this guy. Do you know how the FBI watchlist works? If you do enlighten us, please. From what I've been able to gather the FBI and other 3 letter agencies talk business owners into joining a secret club where they 'report' people for suspicious behavior like owning guns, wearing jeans, paying for coffee with cash, traffic violations, and other ludicrous things. After they are reported, they are put on the terror watch list which gets you banned from flying and other restrictive things. Its almost impossible to get your name off of one of these lists if you are put on them... ![]() |

Or is it? I mean, FEMA recommends that everyone preps. Everyone. And FEMA is the gov't. The gov't is evil. Prepping, therefore, is an evil gov't plot. They're obviously just trying to get us to prep so they have a reason to send the National Guard out to kill us all. That's how they'll get all our money or something. So yeah, don't prep. That's what they want you to do. |

| #17lokiareOct 26, 2012 12:09:25 | That was convoluted... Yeah, some of us are able to separate out opinion from fact. I know its difficult. Here let me help: Fact: Gov't recommends every house to prep. Gov't tells Nat Guard to aggressively go after preppers (because they are terrorists) Opinion: Gov't wants us all dead or arrested. See its not that hard. Infowars.com and Alex Jones presents facts left and right. Once you separate their opinion out about the whole global conspiracy that wants everyone dead, then you look at the facts and realize something fishy is actually going on... things like 2 candidates 1 lobby, targeting preppers and vets first, wars that shouldn't be happening, etc...etc... |

| #24lokiareOct 27, 2012 7:40:43 | N'importe quoi. Yeah, perhaps you need to go back and look some of those things up yourself. Stimulus: When the government takes tax money that they get from one sector of the economy and give it to another sector of the economy. Basically it boils down to moving jobs around because higher taxes cause less jobs and stimulus based on tax money is literally taking money from one sector causing them to lose jobs and moving it to another sector where they can hire more. Of course most people don't count in the cost of aquring the tax money and therefore don't realize that it actually costs more to do it that way because you are putting a middle man in... Inflation: When the value of the money in circulation goes down. Usually caused by increasing the money in circulation. The first group that gets the money gets it at the current value, but subsequent transactions with the money lowers its value to the amount in circulation. Currently the Federal Reserve is the first to get the money so they get it at full value... I missed this guy. Conspiracy Zone? Yeah, check the links, its pure fact. That's how they operate. If you don't think those are facts then please cite some references. Calling something a conspiracy doesn't win the argument. All it does is lets me know you are unable or unwilling to debate using facts and would rather use character assassination... Yeah, some of us are able to separate out opinion from fact. I know its difficult. Here let me help: Instead of denigrating me, how about you actually point out things that are and aren't facts. I'm sure you will find that the facts speak for themselves once you start doing some research... ![]() |

| #31lokiareOct 27, 2012 14:40:10 | Yeah, perhaps you need to go back and look some of those things up yourself. You mean those people and corporations that hide their money in offshore accounts so they don't have to be taxed? Maybe you mean the middle class that is barely making their house payments because lenders didn't tell them they would have trouble paying. Oh I know you must mean those people that are barely breaking even living paycheck to paycheck treading the poverty line... Lemme put it simply; A recession works by decreased demand, due to the middle/lower class not having enough money to buy things. This increased demand means that fewer people are needed to create the needed supply, and so the people lose their jobs, creating a negative cycle. Stimulus puts money into the pockets of the lower/middle class. See, unlike ungodly rich people, middle class and poor people tend to spend the money they get, especially if it's little bits in frequent installations. This increases general demand. The increased demand requires increased supply, which means that more people are hired, etc, etc, etc. Except the money isn't getting to the lower/middle classes. The money gets printed by the Federal Reserve, a committee of private banks that can basically do whatever they want. They literally have no affiliation with the government. The governments only control is to pass laws that force the Federal Reserve to do something which takes a good portion of congresspeople working together something we haven't seen in a while. They basically give themselves bailouts which they then hoard or give to their board of directors as bonuses. So the money never hits the people at all... Inflation: When the value of the money in circulation goes down. See above... do some research, read a bit. Quit believing everything you see on TV... Okay, take an economics class, buddy. Also, just so ya know? Inflation is our friend. Y'see, inflation is needed for economic growth. Inflation is your friend. I'm serious, if you were willing to spend five minutes outside the conspiracy zone, you could actually learn something. But, no. Anyone who teaches fact is just part of the conspiracy to poison the minds of all True Believers. Inflation is never our friend. If the economy grows we can put more money into it and it will retain its value. That is not inflation. Inflation is when money loses value. If you quit calling everyone that had a different viewpoint from your own a conspiracy theorist, you might learn something... They link to facts like FOI documents and mainstream news articles that get buried under the top news about which celebrity is cheating on who. I still see no references or facts coming from you. You can keep up the hyperbole and all day, but until you present a few facts, you aren't convincing anyone. Instead of denigrating me, how about you actually point out things that are and aren't facts. I'm sure you will find that the facts speak for themselves once you start doing some research... I've already agreed that the guy may not be a national guardsman. Actually his predictions do come true: Now, if the government seriously wanted you imprisoned or dead, it could simply frame, or even simply accuse you of terrorism, and detain you indefinitely, or just go ahead and have you "resist arrest." Yeah, no where did I say the government wanted me imprisoned or dead. So again another straw man. You did read up on what a straw man is right? Maybe you need to go read it again... So, basically, you have no evidence, and the theory, itself, makes no sense. Except your messiahbuddy Alex Jones and some guy who, with no evidence, claims to be some national guardsman in on the conspiracy says so. Beating a dead horse here. I already agreed that the guy could be faking it... You are right it could be a complete con job, however multiple callers called in and agreed with the guy. I'd like to see their training manuals, but unfortunately because I'm on a watch list for wearing jeans and paying cash to buy coffee, I can't access them... I was mostly joking about that. I don't go to protests and am currently no threat to anyone. So yeah, I'm not on the list... however text a buddy of yours and tell them something about not wanting to do that and how 'bombs' are bad and you don't want anything to do with it, and see how fast they get picked up... throw in 'terrorist' words in your text... Maybe you mean the middle class that is barely making their house payments because lenders didn't tell them they would have trouble paying. Oh I know you must mean those people that are barely breaking even living paycheck to paycheck treading the poverty line... Yes, but who tells them to print the money? It ain't the government. Its the Federal Reserve... Or if that's not true how does Bernenke tell everyone they are doing QEU (Quantitative Easing Unlimited)? And, bro? Not how the Fed works. So, now I know you also know nothing of the government. Why am I still even talking to you?See above... do some research, read a bit. Quit believing everything you see on TV... Um... once again you are not presenting any evidence, just saying I'm wrong is not enough. You have to present some facts to back it up... Inflation is never our friend. If the economy grows we can put more money into it and it will retain its value. That is not inflation. Inflation is when money loses value. If you quit calling everyone that had a different viewpoint from your own a conspiracy theorist, you might learn something... Money can inflate and deflate pretty fast. It doesn't reduce anything. From Wikipedia some bad things about inflation: "Negative effects of inflation include an increase in the opportunity cost of holding money, uncertainty over future inflation which may discourage investment and savings, and if inflation is rapid enough, shortages of goods as consumers begin hoarding out of concern that prices will increase in the future. Positive effects include ensuring that central banks can adjust real interest rates (intended to mitigate recessions), and encouraging investment in non-monetary capital projects. Economists generally agree that high rates of inflation and hyperinflation are caused by an excessive growth of the money supply." There are more bad things that come with inflation than the one good thing which also depends on interest rates. You'll notice they say inflation encourages investment in non-monetary capital projects. Except this isn't happening. Loans are at an all time low because of the stinginess of the banks and the whole housing scare where banks were loaning out money to people that couldn't pay it back. Inflation is even better during a recession. It lowers pricing, which allows more demand, etc, etc, etc.Further, it encourages hiring, see above. Also, higher1 inflation discourages companies to just sit on their money. As prices lower so does the value of the dollar to match it, so there is no real advantage there unless you have saved up lots of money, then you might see a slight advantage if you can spend fast enough. Since the other things that are happening with the economic downturn have caused massive layoffs, we aren't seeing any hiring. Also I don't think money losing value causes hiring except in the case of minimum wage jobs (we saw that when the 1% increase in jobs awhile back was mostly due to a hiring spree by McDonald's). Companies convert their money to other assets of equal value and then sit on them until the inflation stops. They don't go on a spending spree... In fact you can see that many top investors are buying record amounts of gold and silver. I give you more examples, or cover why this is, but you'll just run back to Alex Jones, so I really don't have the patience I'll agree with you there... You have no patience at all. It might do you some good to get some... You might notice that I haven't linked to him in the last few posts because you have expressed that you don't trust him as a source. I am instead linking to the articles that they usually link to which are supposedly more trust worthy... They link to facts like FOI documents and mainstream news articles that get buried under the top news about which celebrity is cheating on who. I still see no references or facts coming from you. You can keep up the hyperbole and all day, but until you present a few facts, you aren't convincing anyone. Why do you call me sweetie? I'm a 35 year old man. I'm nobodies sweetie. I've presented facts for all the arguments except the OP prepper one. I also admitted that it could be a total hoax, you want to beat that horse some more? I think I saw it twitch... On the other stuff you haven't presented a shred of proof, evidence, or even a single link. So the burden of proof is on you... I've already agreed that the guy may not be a national guardsman. Actually his predictions do come true: Yeah, I know. You probably have ADHD if you are unable to concentrate for the whole 10 minutes of video. I suggest taking frequent breaks and writing down what is said so you can reference it later when you forget. Then maybe you can come back with a valid argument and not more insults and hyperbole. Especially since the video made no mention of Jews or the Gestapo... Yeah, no where did I say the government wanted me imprisoned or dead. So again another straw man. You did read up on what a straw man is right? Maybe you need to go read it again... It twitched again quick get it! I was mostly joking about that. | #41zombie_babiesOct 29, 2012 9:41:14 | It's not like it's a coincidence that the elections happen to happen during hurricane season. George Washington (translated from the Illuminati it was written in: George Romney) purposefully set this up because, due to his dual temporal status, he forsaw the coming election his son ('future' timeline) would be trying to win and the fact that his opponent would be none other than Obama. Obama, of course, is an alien and therefore has access to superpowers and advanced technology (and yes, there is a difference). As such, George Washington (Romney) invested for the future and allowed the Republican party to have enough money to rent HARP from the aliens behind Obama's back. See, aliens are total capitalists and Romney was able to ensure that the Republicans would have enough money to make a better offer - thanks, again, to his dual temporal status. So now Florida - a swing state by Washington's design - is about to be wiped off the map and New York will probably be erased as well - a strong Obama state. The combined power of the actual hurricane itself and the augmenting boost HARP will be able to deliver will guarantee the aliens will be out of political power for a little while. The only issue is the economic power they'll have since they've just made a couple trillion space bucks by agreeing to rent HARP to the Republicans. That's a problem that Washington believes Mitt can handle thanks to the fact that his mother is an alien like Obama is and their financial canniness is transferred genetically. And now you know. |

| #50homicidal_squirrelOct 29, 2012 12:26:03 | It's not like it's a coincidence that the elections happen to happen during hurricane season. Ummm... no... Florida will be fine. It aleady passed us by. We sent it up the coast to let them have some fun. And now you know. |

| #62bone_nagaOct 29, 2012 17:58:46 | Ok Loki, I'm just going to go out here and say that being a current member of the military, in an organization that is tied into a lot of ongoing efforts across the military, and having a security clearance, I'm going to say that article is complete and utter BS. First of all, a lot of people in the military are paranoid about government power. If they were really being told something like that, you would be hearing about it from a lot more than one person and you would be hearing about it on mainstream news sites, blogs, basically it would be on sources other than conspiracy websites. A lot of soldiers are also gunowners. Do you think we want anyone taking away our guns? Hell no. Alex Jones saying it does not make it true. Show me a CONPLAN, OPORD, or other official document outlining this supposed conspiracy. |

I'd like to see their training manuals, but unfortunately because I'm on a watch list for wearing jeans and paying cash to buy coffee, I can't access them... Dude, training manuals are available on the internet. The military recently implemented measures to restrict access to the most recent versions, but in all honesty they are virtually unchanged from the last version, and previous versions of pretty much every manual out there can be found on the open web. Also, since they are unclass/FOUO documents, anyone, even a private, could access them and release them if there was seriously anything questionable. Of course I've already seen that there doesn't need to be anything nefarious in a manual for Infowars and similar sites to get people into a frenzy over it (I believe it was Detainee Operations or something similar that had people frothing at the mouth over nothing). |

| #75bone_nagaNov 05, 2012 20:05:36 | You mean the manual that mentions 're-education' I believe reeducation was Alex Jones's choice of words, not the military's. and using 'social security numbers' to process people? Um yeah. SSN is the standard way for the military to track people. You know the military does imprison its own people when they **** up, right? The one that mentions the FEMA camps that have the barbed wire facing in? Hahaha, barbed wire facing in? Usually barbed wire faces both ways... You know the ones where they have millions of industrial caskets pre-ordered? How about the billions of rounds they ordered in sniper and hollow point ammo, that the mainstream media tried to play off as thousands of rounds of practice ammo, that is just for one department. First of all, who is "they"? Secondly, thousands of rounds of ammo amounts to nothing. My unit can easily blow through that just for training alone, and it's a very small unit. In any case, that actually has nothing to do with the manual, which was being touted as proof in and of itself of some conspiracy. Now these are all facts backed up by FOI requests. Now I can understand if you don't agree with the speculation he ties to it, but what could they possibly want all of that for? Well since you don't specify who "they" is, I can't really tell you. I mean are they going to lock up all the people that use file sharing software? All the illegal immigrants? Seriously what is all that stuff for? Well again, who is "they"? As for detention operations, well it could be used by National Guard acting in a law enforcement capacity after a disaster (before you get your panties in a bunch, keep in mind that a lot of criminals take advantage of disasters, it doesn't mean they are arresting all the disaster victims). It could be used by the military when running military prisons, here or overseas. It could be used in FEMA camps, again not because OMG the gubment has some ebil conspiracy to round up people into concentration camps, but because you put a bunch of people that are already stressed out into a stressful situation in close proximity to each other, and yeah they may get a bit unruly. There is absolutely nothing about it that points to some nefarious purpose. |

So far www.infowars.com is the best I can find... Maybe the mainstream media doesn't disseminate it because it's crap. I mean really, the media loves to speculate and get people hyped up over nothing, heck they were all over the NDAA when the actual text of the bill didn't back up their claims (although that points back to another theory I have, that everyone else just copies the first person to report on a story with no independent fact-checking so if one guy gets it wrong, so does everyone else). So if they choose to ignore something, it means there is absolutely nothing there that they can use. |

No, usually barbed wire fencing is bent down toward the side you want to keep people from climbing over. In the case of a lot of the FEMA camps its actually facing in. You know the ones where they have millions of industrial caskets pre-ordered? | #80bone_nagaNov 05, 2012 20:45:50 | Nope, the word 'reeducation' appears in the manual in reference to prisoners. I'll have to look that up, I haven't read the manual since I read the infowars article, which was a while ago. They were all up in arms over mention of psyops. So they hold them in FEMA camps? Weird... No, I don't believe that the mention of SSN was specific only to FEMA camps, the manual certainly was not specific to FEMA camps, but even as applies to FEMA, don't you think using SSN makes sense? How would you do it? No, usually barbed wire fencing is bent down toward the side you want to keep people from climbing over. In the case of a lot of the FEMA camps its actually facing in. Actually at a lot of military installations they either use coils of concertina wire, which would work both ways, or the barbed wire is bent down on both sides. I believe it was just the Social Security Administration. Though it looks like the Weather Service also bought a whole mess too. Actually is says the Social Security Administration, the Weather Service, and DHS, and doesn't specify the amounts ordered by each. Maybe the first two needed some for security personnel? As for DHS, well it includes border patrol, the Secret Service, the Coast Guard, etc., it seems they have a legit need for ammo. As for hollow point, who cares? Yeah the military can't use it in war (well technically we could right now but we don't), but it is perfectly legal for domestic use. I have hollow points in my gun at home. Also, it isn't uncommon for an organization to buy more than they need. The Army still issues out ammo that was produced during Vietnam. As to your claim that your unit could blow through that many hollow point rounds, that makes me wonder about your claim to be in the military and handle guns. You would need to stand there for 4+ hours every day to be able to use that many rounds in less than a year. Good luck with that... You said thousands, not the figure mentioned in the article. Also, I said my unit, not me alone, although if I shot more often I could burn through thousands of rounds in a year on my own. I have burned through hundreds of rounds in a single day on the range. They are factually taking away everyone's guns and evacuating people whether they want to or not. This is a serious violation of constitutional rights... When was this? Where are they taking away people's guns? As for evacuations, yeah they tell people to evacuate. People still choose to stay. Where do I put forth that the 'gubment has some ebil conspiracy to round up people into concentration camps'? That's of course ignoring what we have done in WWII with the Japanese concentration camps in the U.S. Yes, because it happened in WWII, clearly it must be happening again. Talk about a strawman. Nowhere did the article even mention FEMA before that, but now suddenly we are to believe, without any evidence whatsoever, that FEMA is now carrying this around in a briefcase (not likely since that violates federal law and doesn't make any sense anyway) and is going to use it to breach your front door? That doesn't even make sense. First of all, a shotgun would be a perfectly suitable and cheaper breaching tool for your average home door. | #87bone_nagaNov 05, 2012 22:38:05 | I fixed your quotes... Thanks, you're a peach ;) By photos or DNA. Wait, so you're upset that they enroll people by SSN, but you would be comfortable with them taking DNA from everyone and using that instead? WTF? SSN is a simple and unique identifier and it doesn't require invading their body in order to enroll them. Also, the military already uses SSN to track their own people, so it doesn't require any adjustment. It goes on pretty much every piece of paperwork that gets processed for an individual, that way there isn't confusion between them and someone else. It isn't reasonable to attach a photo or DNA sample to every form you fill out, especially if it is done by hand. I thought gun powder became unstable after a few years? No, where did you get that idea? Now some of it does become corrosive over time, which is bad for the weapon but can be fixed with proper maintenance, and doesn't affect the firing. DHS was billions and the others were millions. In the article they quote what each of them ordered, they link the government websites that have the orders. Each of them ordered millions of rounds for just one yearly order. I don't recall it saying millions, you yourself said thousands. I just looked at it again, not seeing it. Then it goes on to show lots of explosives purchases of a very peculiar and specific type. Setting aside any conclusions, that is really suspicious behavior. How are you setting aside conclusions when you say that is really suspicious behavior? That IS a conclusion. Anyway, no it is not suspicious at all. Of course it is of a specific type (actually two specific types). The article even says the request was for training dogs. They need to train them on specific explosives (otherwise the dogs can't detect those explosives) and they need enough to provide standardized training across the board. There is nothing suspicious about it. Both are types of explosives that are used to train military dogs as well. What does the Social Security Administration need with that kind of ammo? Are they getting ready to solve the 'social security crisis'? What do you mean "that kind of ammo"? They either need ammo or they don't, and I already suggested that perhaps they have their own security personnel. If the Department of Education has them, why not SSA as well? Ok, so you couldn't burn through millions of hollow point rounds which are not used for practice. What does that say? They are preparing for 'something'. The amounts they ordered is several times their normal purchases. No, it doesn't say anything except that they ordered X number of rounds. As for practice, yeah most people use ball ammo for practice because it's cheaper, but really if you want to be as good as you can be, you should practice with the same ammo you want to use in a real situation. Also, DHS has its own test/R&D people, is it really outside the realm of belief that some of that will be used for certain tests? There are also programs where DHS provides assistance to equip state and local agencies. Maybe it's part of some other odd thing, like some foreign partnership deal. The only thing FEMA did was say they didn't want guns in their trailer parks, which they can do. It's not the same as coming to your house and taking your guns. I don't agree with it, but it's no more a conspiracy than if Applebees says they won't allow you to carry your shotgun into their establishment even if the state allows open carry. Oh what do you know... The FEMA action follows the successful lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Baton Rouge by SAF to prevent the City of New Orleans and nearby parishes from confiscating firearms and forcing the return of those already taken from Hurricane Katrina victims. Yep they screwed up and I doubt that will be happening anymore. Like I said, jacked up, but it was ruled that they were wrong. It's not indicative of some evil conspiracy. Also, this instance of confiscating guns isn't the same as what you implied. The way you framed it implied that this was some nationwide event going on to disarm the entire population and that clearly is not the case. We haven't seen this yet, doesn't mean it can't happen. | #100bone_nagaNov 08, 2012 20:17:19 | This all assumes that it is limited to military personnel. Please show me the part of the training manual that limits it to military personnel. What? No, it doesn't assume anything. Because whether you are dealing with military personnel or not, SSN is the easiest and currently the best way to process everyone. It still boggles my mind that you are more ok with the government taking everyone's DNA than using SSN to process people. It says one point something billion which is a huge increase over previous years. Then it talks about specific departments getting several million each. Departments that shouldn't even have armed people like the social security administration. No, it doesn't say how many the other departments are getting. And why shouldn't they have armed people? If there is a need for security personnel, and if you want those personnel to be armed, then yeah there is a need for guns and therefore ammo. Yes, but the amounts are not trivial. They are a great increase over previous years. So what? Maybe they are starting a new R&D project. Maybe they increased the number of armed personnel. Maybe they found that proficiency was lacking and their previous projections were not enough. There are tons of possibilities that don't involve some nefarious plot that doesn't even make any sense. Its a messed up world when the Department of Education needs tons of bullets. Same for the SSA, unless they are going to solve the SS problem that's brewing... Yeah, we all know in a perfect world no one would need guns or ammo. We also know we don't live in a perfect world. So what's your point? So then at BEST its a gross misuse of funds. At worst they are preparing for something to go down. You still haven't addressed why they need such a huge increase over previous orders. How is it a gross misuse of funds when you don't know what it is being used for? At worst, well your "worst" doesn't even pass the common sense test. So a company or government department can violate the constitution? I never said that. I already said police confiscating weapons was ****ed up. So what happens when the Federal Reserve cashes in on all those houses they own the mortgages to (they have been buying the toxic housing derivatives for years now)? What are you talking about? Cashing in? How? I don't think you understand how the system works. That's a scary thought. Same thing with all of these internet advertising and software companies sharing all of their info on users with the government. We've had this discussion before. First of all, while I'm sure some companies do, some of the "proof" out there is a bit sketchy. Second, you agree to the terms of use. Third, you have the option not to use certain sites or software. Fourth, a lot of what people are putting on the internet is available for everyone to see anyway. Fifth, so ****ing what? By that logic the Government can declare imminent domain take your house and land and then make you a slave because they set the rules... Um...no that's not how it works. This still doesn't answer the question of why they are blocking it. If it already says that wouldn't this not have been opposed? How about the court cases that were filed and then Obama's judges overruled. Read the court's ruling. There were two key points to it. First, the court heard the case because it agreed that the plaintiffs had a reasonable fear. Note that their fear is based on their perception of the law, which was driven by media that has become horrible at doing any independent fact-checking. Second, the court ruled that barring that provision of the NDAA wouldn't actually hurt the government's ability to conduct its duties because of the government's own (and correct) argument that the NDAA wasn't a significant change from what was already allowed. Things can actually be suspicious and people and governments plan things all of the time. Sometimes its bad sometimes its good. I mean we trust known liers to make the right decisions... How many times have you or Alex Jones claimed of some sort of imminent danger? I believe I read one that was claiming they were getting ready for martial law after the elections. Where is it? Where is the danger, the plots, rounding up dissidents, all the stuff that has been circulating for years? I agree that it can be ok to be suspicious, hell I'm suspicious. You are paranoid. They are not the same thing. You and other conspiracy theorists are so busy jumping at shadows that you are going to completely miss the stuff that is actually going on. |

Like, don't say barbed wire when you mean fence (not you, you - the other, general you). ;) And like I pointed out earlier, it's not uncommon to have the fences facing both ways. What does the Social Security Administration need with that kind of ammo? Are they getting ready to solve the 'social security crisis'? As to your claim that your unit could blow through that many hollow point rounds, that makes me wonder about your claim to be in the military and handle guns. You would need to stand there for 4+ hours every day to be able to use that many rounds in less than a year. Good luck with that... Ok, so you couldn't burn through millions of hollow point rounds which are not used for practice. What does that say? They are preparing for 'something'. | #127bone_nagaNov 05, 2012 22:38:05 | I fixed your quotes... Honestly I don't know where exactly each round is going, what I know is that there are a lot of possible explanations and nothing to indicate that this is something to get wrapped around the axle over. ..."window.parent.tinyMCE.get('post_content').onLoad.dispatch();" target="_blank" href="http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/08/national/nationalspecial/08cnd-storm.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0" contenteditable="true"> NYT New Orleans gun confiscation Local police, not federal as you suggested. The only thing FEMA did was say they didn't want guns in their trailer parks, which they can do. It's not the same as coming to your house and taking your guns. Yeah, BN. Just because its a military training manual doesn't mean that elementary school lunch ladies aren't being trained with it. Where does it say tht elementary school lunch ladies should not be trained in this manner, huh? Where? I demand answers! What page is the full list of people excluded from trainng with this manual? ![]() |

Seems to me it's mostly a case of bad presentation. Like, don't say barbed wire when you mean fence (not you, you - the other, general you). ;) My main problem is that they significantly increased their purchases over previous quarters and years... Ok, that's fair. There's many possible explanations for this, though. Two wars may have depleted the stockpile and they're attempting to recoup. Could be that they had some extra money left in the budget and needed to dump it to hopefully avoid a decrease in the next one and they chose ammo cuz, well, you can never have too much. I mean, there's a lot of valid, sensible potential answers here. |
| #140bone_nagaNov 08, 2012 20:17:19 | This all assumes that it is limited to military personnel. |

Seems to me it's mostly a case of bad presentation. Like, don't say barbed wire when you mean fence (not you, you - the other, general you). ;) And like I pointed out earlier, it's not uncommon to have the fences facing both ways. Also, the military, especially when setting up a temporary camp, likes to use rolls of concertina wire, which are also going to interdict both ways. I'm glad you brought that up, I forgot about the budget thing. Yeah, sad fact is that our government's budget system encourages wasteful spending. Because for a lot of organizations, if you don't spend it one year, you lose it the next year. I've seen organizations spend it on a lot dumber stuff than more bullets. |
| #142zombie_babiesNov 09, 2012 7:48:13 | Yup, budget spending like that is common everywhere. |

Yep, don't want to do the work to prove your point, so you make a joke. I was talking about being used on people other than military personnel. Of course the book is FOR military personnel... ![]() |
