| #1rakeFeb 11, 2009 8:41:03 | I always wanted this to happen on Dexter's Lab, but it never did. ![]() Dexter (boy geeenius) begins the brawl with whatever tech he wants. Assume he knows he's going up against a tough opponent, and has geared up appropriately. Remember: Dexter is a superhero, too! (DexStar?) Nothin' but their own powers for the Powerpuff Girls. Combatants fight in a neutral area with variable terrain and high ground (this is probably a downtown brawl a la most of the mecha / giant monster fights from either show). This might be a wash for Dexter. If so, would adding Dee Dee help? She pilots a mean dance-fighting mecha. And go! |
| #2nezumi45Feb 11, 2009 8:50:14 | i am slighty disappointed i thought you meant the other dexter![]() ![]() ![]() |
| #3boj0Feb 11, 2009 8:51:28 | PPG win by numbers, have Dexter fight against just Blossom to be a fair fight. |
| #4ArmisaelFeb 11, 2009 8:51:55 | This match is kinda unfair. I mean, the girls have superspeed. That's gotta be the most broken superpower that is not reality warping, because it increases reaction time massively. The only time Dex had superspeed, he was unable to stop, so he's at a massive disadvantage. IMO, the girls win by default. Now, if Dex can debuff them so that they no longer have superspeed but retain every other power, then he has a chance and I think he would win. Otherwise, though, this is kinda pointless. Lex Luthor has never beaten Superman in a fight without some Kryptonite, after all. |
| #5rakeFeb 11, 2009 9:53:32 | I dunno, the PPGs use superspeed often, and they still get knocked around quite a lot. Dexter is no anonymous-giant-robot. He's pretty proficient with that stuff. Not to mention that he's a master of science, I think Computer could analyze the PPGs abilities and weaknesses easily. She does it all the time. It does seem like the PPGs have the advantage, though. Seriously, wouldn't this have made an awesome episode of Dexter's Lab? |
| #6nezumi45Feb 11, 2009 9:58:49 | yes it would send it in and have it made.. Made now dammit i want to watch it and eat my wheaty flakes |
| #7ArmisaelFeb 11, 2009 10:03:52 | It sure would have been awesome. Plus, crossovers are always good. But yeah, Superspeed is just broken when your opponent doesn't have it. The PPG tear through metal like a hot knife through butter, so Dex's mech would get torn to shreds, and then he would go next. Without the speed, though, it'd be an interesting and close match, mostly coming down on how fast the girls can think on their feet and the strength of the attacks Dex can send their way. |
| #8doomsoughtFeb 11, 2009 11:20:27 | http://ppg.snafu-comics.com/ nuff said. |
| #9rakeFeb 11, 2009 11:40:17 | http://ppg.snafu-comics.com/ Heh. Neat concept. Somebody put a lot of work into that. I have to be honest, though. Teenaged Powerpuff Girls kinda fails. The whole point is that they're just little girls, despite all their badassery. At the end of the day, they go home and play with blocks. The PPGs can solve mysteries and save the world (before bedtime), but boys and grown-up feelings perplex them. |
| #10oxybeFeb 11, 2009 12:25:05 | prep time. that is entirely what it falls down to. Dexter is like a younger, physically weaker, egotistical version of batman. if given enough prep time dexter would probably create a machine to nullify the ppg's speed and their more problematic abilities. at that point it's dexter in his big robot launching a Macross-style salvo of missiles at the girls who will have a very hard time maneuvering, splitting them up and picking them off one by one. if dexter is given no prep time? ppg, hands down. zoom in at full power, destroys the robot, remove all gadgets from dexter's posession and blossom drop him off at his driveway with a finger wag and a warning. |
| #11KillerGMFeb 11, 2009 12:37:36 | Dexter's machines always have something wrong with them. There's always some fatal flaw that he doesn't take into account (usually found by DeeDee). I mean, I'd be truly torn on who to root for, but I think the super-powered little girls would succeed. If Mojo Jojo can't defeat them (permanently), I don't think Dexter would, either. ;) But man it would be a great crossover! :D PS - I have the Powerpuff Girls collection sitting unopened and I am sorely tempted to not wait until my birthday to bust it out!! I miss that show! |
| #12rakeFeb 11, 2009 12:41:07 | But man it would be a great crossover! :D Dude, I know. ATTENTION: Hanna-Barbara. I would pay good money for this cartoon. That is all. (My other current match could use a similar message to Disney.) PS - I have the Powerpuff Girls collection sitting unopened and I am sorely tempted to not wait until my birthday to bust it out!! I miss that show! |
| #13space_dragonFeb 11, 2009 14:12:20 | PPG. Dexter will give them one hell of a fight, but in the end they'll find the Achillies heel of whatever machine he's using (probably a spaceship or mecha of some kind) and take him down. Also, Dexter Morgan would eat them. |
| #14rakeFeb 11, 2009 14:14:59 | PPG. Dexter will give them one hell of a fight, but in the end they'll find the Achillies heel of whatever machine he's using (probably a spaceship or mecha of some kind) and take him down. Given that Dexter would probably come off as the 'villain' (as he is known to do in his own show from time to time), I think you might be right. 'Egomaniacal villian in a giant robot' is pretty much 'Wednesday' for the girls. If Dee Dee is involved she might score an accidental win though. Ohmygod Dee Dee and the PPGs would so play together! Aww. Damn it... make this cartoon! ![]() Also, Dexter Morgan would eat them. Who would eat the poor, puppy-dog-eyed Powerpuff Girls? |
| #15dirtyfrankFeb 11, 2009 14:25:26 | Dexter would just be filling the role of MOOOOOOOOOOOOJO JOJO. I don't think that Dexter and Mojo have much of a difference in fighting style and I think that they have tried many of the same tricks. Because the PPG have continuously kicked Mojo's butt I think that the girls got this one in the bag. |
| #16ArmisaelFeb 11, 2009 14:26:57 | Having this match published would help solve an eternal question: What's better, gadgeteering or superpowers? Man, it'd be good to see it. It's a pity they stopped making good crossover fights since Goku vs. Superman. |
| #17rakeFeb 11, 2009 14:31:28 | Having this match published would help solve an eternal question: What's better, gadgeteering or superpowers? Goku vs. Superman? As much as I loathe DBZ, wouldn't that just be Goku tearing Superman in half? He's magic. He can fly/throw you into deep friggin space (goodbye, yellow sun). Destroy mountains on accident. Etc, etc. FWIW, the gadgeteers vs. power-users argument can never be proved. If Computer gives Dex the low down on the girls pre-fight, and Dex has prep time to work on something, he could take the scarier powers out of the equation and win. If not, Dexter is just Easily Defeated Giant Evil Robot #3,017,928. The 'answer', I think, is just: Prep Time: Gadgeteers. No Prep Time: Power-Users. |
| #18dirtyfrankFeb 11, 2009 14:34:29 | The PPG villain is Mojo and he is a gadgeteer. He also has lots of time to plan and prep. He still gets his ass handed to him by the Girls. Unless Dexter is worlds better than Mojo, I don't think Dexter will have much of a chance. |
| #19m-barkFeb 11, 2009 14:43:04 | This? |
| #20rakeFeb 11, 2009 15:02:07 | The PPG villain is Mojo and he is a gadgeteer. He also has lots of time to plan and prep. He still gets his ass handed to him by the Girls. Unless Dexter is worlds better than Mojo, I don't think Dexter will have much of a chance. No disrespect to Mojo, he's a great character, but have you SEEN the size of Dexter's Laboratory lately? Dexter is worlds better than Mojo. Mojo manages approximately one fantastic invention per episode. Dexter has an enormous lab with vaults full of giant mecha, time travel machines, dimensional teleporters, weapons, battlesuits, elixirs, and databases of all kinds. Dexter isn't even impressed by these things anymore. Computer could beat Mojo. EDIT: Come to think of it, Dexter makes a better supervillian than Mojo does, too. Supersized ego, profound genius, self-proclaimed title (Boy Genius), army of robots, intelligent computer, maniacal sidekick, and secret underground base. |
| #21IdolisFeb 11, 2009 15:06:46 | The city of Townsville.....is destroyed thanks to Dexter, Boy Genius. Dexter would create a serum made of his own version of Ingredient X. Inject himself and remove the PPG's as a threat to his world dominating power. |
| #22dirtyfrankFeb 11, 2009 15:07:25 | If Dexter were to be the new PPG villain would Deedee become a PPG, seeing as she is good at defeating her brother? |
| #23IdolisFeb 11, 2009 15:09:55 | I imagine she would. |
| #24m-barkFeb 11, 2009 15:10:09 | If Dexter were to be the new PPG villain would Deedee become a PPG, seeing as she is good at defeating her brother? The pink spot is already taken, but we could assume her to be on a friendly basis with the PPGs at least. |
| #25rakeFeb 11, 2009 15:15:26 | Haha. Dee Dee as a PPG. Damn it. This so needs to happen. Best crossover ever. |
| #26dirtyfrankFeb 11, 2009 15:18:35 | I think that she would be an honorary PPG. |
| #27rakeFeb 11, 2009 15:19:53 | http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?p=17839902#post17839902 Sorry, sorry, sorry. I had to. I just thought of it, and I had to. EDIT: Sorry. |
| #28space_dragonFeb 12, 2009 2:17:04 | Who would eat the poor, puppy-dog-eyed Powerpuff Girls? Dexter f***ing Morgan. That's who. |
