Not a lot to it, who would win? Unfortunately, I think this amounts to: Jack lights on fire, Monster runs away. What's the 'smartest' version of the Monster? Let's use that.

Frankenstein's Monster is a bit of a scaredy-cat, but Jack doesn't have a fraction of the Monster's strength. I don't see The Monster landing a lot of blows on the agile Pumpkin King, though. On the other hand, one grab and that might be all she wrote for Jack.

I agree, but how do you envision him scoring the win? Jack isn't even close to strong enough to physically put the Monster down. Frankenstein's Monster is damn tough.

frankenstein's monster is big, slow & strong but is still a developing mind and he's frightened of the things around him as he does not understand them.
what would happen is jack would quickly realize that the monster is afraid of his environment and focus on that, especially it's fear of rejection. he'll probably lead the monster by the nose to some secluded area (like a construction site). at that point it's just a matter of "dropping a ton of steel on it" (where a ton of steel can be replaced with any large object that should kill the monster).

Hmmmm...You're right in that Jack isn't a fighter, but he's so cool to watch in action, and he is clever, fast, and fearsome. There has to be a good match-up here.

Frankenstein's monster is a super-genius. He mastered three languages over the span of a few months, just by eavesdropping on people. He was able to outsmart various police forces, teach himself to use firearms adeptly, and track Victor Frankenstein across the European continent.
He's also extremely fast and agile. There are several points in the book where he dramatically flings himself off cliffs, only to catch himself on an outcropping a few dozen feet down and scamper away along the cliff face like a monkey. Let's also not forget the scene where Frankenstein is trying to shoot him, and the monster drops to the ground, rolls away in a zig-zag pattern to dodge the bullets, and then sinks into the nearby lake, swimming away before anyone can give chase.
This is all, of course, in addition to the strength and endurance that others have already pointed out. Basically, the monster is a perfect, paragon human in all ways besides being ugly.
I'm not saying Skelington loses, necessarily, but if he wins, it will be only after a very long and strenuous battle, and possibly after losing some people who are dear to him (the monster's MO includes going after his enemy's loved ones). We all know Jack values his friends above all else...this could be interesting.
If Adam decides to go after Jack's friends...well, there won't be enough of him left to fill a teaspoon. Sure, he's clever and tough, but Jack's flat out magical. He doesn't have punch, but he has Adam beat on everything else.
I must confess to never having read the books. I was thinking in terms of the classic film.
Agile or not, though, I don't think anyone moves like Jack. Skellington's victory would have to be environmental, though. Since Jack has demonstrated an immunity to fire, I think that'd be his weapon of choice. It'd take him a little while to learn that the Monster fears it, and why, but I think he would. Some of Jack's theatrics are very pyrotechnic in nature.

Pretty sure Adam isn't scared of fire. Well...as much as any of us. He can take damage from fire, but so can he from anything else that would harm a human. He's just affected a lot less.

Also, my preemptive vote is for The Mask, due to the extent of his reality-warping powers. Skellington has magic too, but its much more limited.

You'd have to have the Mask face off against someone pretty hardcore. Jack is serious business, but the power level in Halloween Town is low by comparison to that of just about any comic-book universe.
