Greetings, newb.

As advice, I'd suggest that you pay the 'Ask A Silly Question' and 'Would You Rather' threads a a visit, and avoid getting on the nerves of anyone with 'Resident "something or another"' in their signatures.

Do enjoy yourself, and avoid the "Residentals" for now. They're known to bite and spit out their prey. *wink*

Also, these new forums are horrendous.

You are the Resident Evil Madman. I may chop them into fine peices, feed their remains to their family, set everyone they love on fire, put them out, then have them fight to the death in gladiator matches, but I will NEVER go that far.

Smirnoff Ice is not vodka.  Smirnoff Ice is malt liquor.  Sminoff is also not vodka.  It's clear piss.  Try Belvedere, Ketel 1 or Three Olives.

Or you could just drink rum.  Rum is good.  Especially when it's a shot or two of coconut rum in a vanilla milkshake...

#54

zombie_babies

Sep 30, 2009 13:59:53

I am not a fan of rum.  Nope.  Too much sugar, you know.  And it's a mixin' booze - which invariably leads to more sugar.  All that sugar gives you a nasty hangover.  So I leave the rum alone and earn my hangovers the hard way - with copious amounts of beer and brown liquor.

Funny, to-date the only time I've had a hangover was from shots, never from my sugary mixed drinks.  The sugary mixed drinks are much more pleasent evenings.

Whatever works, you know?  Whenever I had those sugary mixed deals I woke up in major cranial pain.  I rarely get hungover from beer and scotch or beer and whiskey though.  I don't know the particulars, I just know what works and doesn't.  For me, rum doesn't.
#60

Sep 30, 2009 14:37:51

I like me a good glass of Smirnoff though. Frown Won't say no to a fine shot of Jack Daniels or Crown Royal though. Mississippi Mud ain't too bad, though liter then what I prefer. Rum is okay, but I prefer non-mixed heavies myself, so I don't have them too often. As for hangovers and headaches, dunno, rarely have those at all. 'Course I don't tank myself like a dwarf, but still... If yer gettin' hangovers, then you're doing it wrong. Tongue out

Jack Daniels ... fine?  You, sir or madam, have lost what precious little credibility you had.  Jack Daniels.  *shakes head* What else?  Drink some Natty Light?  How 'bout some Milwaukee's Best?  Maybe a shot of Kamchatka?  Citron?  Holy gods.  Here's some free booze edumacations: For a JD replacement, drink Maker's Mark at the very least.  Then there's Knob Creek, Evan Williams, Bernheim and a few others that aren't made from distilled rat urine pre-cooked in bird ****.  Good lord.  Jack ****in' Daniels.  A bunch of savages in this town ...

I'll give you a pass on the Crown.  It's ok.  Preferred answer, though, is Jameson's.

Heck if I know.  I stick with the Captain Morgan's Coconut Rum 'cause it was one of the first things I tried, and I liked it.

Well, that's not entirely true.  I tried Malibu Pineapple Rum, but that didn't mix well with Dr. Pepper at all.

#68

I bet not.  I've had Malibu before, but I'm not into rum or terribly into coconut.  It's what was ;eft when the good booze ran out.  It was ok in Coke, though.

Hmm, not a fan of mixing drinks myself. Unless you're mixing one shot of booze with a heavier variety, I tend to stay away from mixing, even lightly. Straight and undiluted is my preferred method, though I tend to get a lot of flak for it.

Moonshine is way to go.
Also, bane: beat it! Too young! Come back in a year, then you'll get your glass bottle.

On the topic of elves: I like the ones in D&D. Elves being arrogant s(n)obs to hate is a sure sign of fantasy trying to be "badass". But usually the "ass" part is just the writer (or an odd animal).
The elves in D&D are fine.

As long as it's vodka I really don't care :P (I can drink it cheap, or drink the good stuff. I just like it. and I've not had it mixed with anything yet)
