I enjoyed Generations, Had alot of great moments. Data definitly had the best line, I wont repeat it I think its a CoC violation, but im sure you all know the one I mean.

But Undiscoverd Country? Now that one sucked. First off Klingons have purple blood? since when? Klingons never ever had purple blood, except in that movie for whatever reason. Another thing that sucks about it is it dont fit in with the rest, Star Treks 2-5 all went together, one begining where the other left off, then along comes 6 and all a sudden Spock is an Amasador, Sulu is captain of the Excelsior!? When the hell did that happen? Just seems like we're missin out on something, like there shoulda been another movie in there or something, knowhatimena?

The acting isn't the problem.

The plot is.

The dialog is terrible.

It was like a season 1 -3 TNG episode at best.

HA you wish.

I'd take Episode 1 the worst of the prequels over, all but First Contact of the TNG movies.
That's pretty sorry dude.

To say nothing of the travesty known as Voyager, and Enterprise.

Star Trek was so bad, that not even CBS was going to accept the status quo anymore.
ST is so bad it killed Paramount Studios.

Also, arguing which of the these two scifis is the best of the pair, is like watching and debating the special olympics at this point. Both of them are still tards at the end of it.

Good Sci fi doesn't have ST, or SW as it's initials.

You only have roughly 2.5 hours of Jar Jar existing (all 3 films combined) vs 7 Seasons of Neelix footage. and 4 for Failerprise with Dr Flox.

And don't say Jar Jar is worse. You clearly have blocked out the painful trauma of seeing Neelix for more than 3 seconds.

Think of it this way, Jar Jar is the upper limit of mental trauma that you can actually remember. Anything worse than Jar Jar, you either become innured to (due to length of exposure), or so scarred that you bury it deep.

If it weren't for the fact that I recently attempted watching Voyager, I'd have been worried about possible deep buried psychoses caused by Neelix's existence and the knowledge that some human being really thought that, that abomination's story needed to be told.

Voyager wasnt all that bad, there was some good episodes. My favorite was the one were the Asian dude died, what was his name? Kim or something? Uh, no, Boba Fett did not look cool. He looked like he was homeless. There was no air of mystery around him. He was a rejected storm trooper that stood around doing othing, and was submissive to a fat tape worm.

And it's a good thing he didn't get any lines. What would an incompetant bounty hunter that did nothing have to say? "I... didn't catch him... again."

I like Star Wars for rust and ruggedness of the world and the props without being depressing post apo, action scenes, next to none technobabble (seriously, who likes that?) and a story that, while simple, still has some depth. Oh, and I don't really care about the EU, I'm a surface/casual fan.
Star Trek always appeared to me as "boring people talking pseudo-science nonsense in the same clean fake ship; sometimes they talk on fake alien plates".

It's star wars. There is nothing else but props and effects.

You're standards for scientist are too low. Solving problems is a daily for a lot of people. Like when you car leaks oil, you solve it by putting cardboard under it.

Or just buy a new car.

Yeah, it could be a rear main seal, could be worse.
Unkillable engine. Talking about a Tercel that still has less than 100,000 miles on it too

Oil pan gaskets generally don't go bad unless you bottomed out the engine really hard. In which case you really need to get that pan off the car, so you can see if there has been damage to the oil pump.

Not much better actually.
I'd get a second opinion. Stat.
He just said ''oil pan'' because he hasn't actually found it yet. It's also the ''easy fix''. (and in this case it's the 99 percent Wrong Fix)
Chances are it's really the rear main seal and it's running down the oilpan.

It could also be the crankshaft seal, or timing cover seal.

Have you actually inspected your engine physically yet? I mean you. not the mechanic.
#50

Cpt_Micha

Dec 10, 2012 11:00:16
That or he knows a good source of unknowing Hipster Based Income when he sees it

I'd open up the hood and see where the oil is exactly coming out of the engine. Get the car up on jackstands and go looking with a flashlight. If there are oil stains above the very bottom of the engine (where the oil pan is) then it's not the oil pan gasket.

If the oil is only around the oil pan it's either the rear main, crank shaft seal, or oil pan gasket most likely.

Not easily, honestly. You need special chemicals which are pretty expensive to get oil stains out. Unless you seal the concrete with a resin and or polymer finish you're pretty much stuck looking at those stains and will get more stains in the future.
#51

Cpt_Micha

Dec 10, 2012 11:11:38
Then use a pair of cinder blocks under the subframe. They are pretty much fail proof. Assuming you have a jack that can actually get the car up enough.

Stop bein a sad hipster. You might just save yourself a crap ton of cash to pay for those ludicrously expensive chemicals. It only takes a couple minutes of effort seriously. And if you're worried about getting your clothing dirty (which if you're a hipster you're buying at the salvation army anyway) just wear that orange shirt and your cheapest jeans.

For fixing up your floor, look up U-Coat It. It's pretty much the gold standard in concrete floor sealant and you can get a myriad of finishes. From solid colors, to things that make the floor look like stone work instead of concrete. The coating is also insanely durable, allegedly it never chips or scratches. And it IS completely stain proof. They give you the chemicals you'll need to clean your floor in the first place (and the cleaning chemicals can cost almost as much as the Floor Coating system itself in some cases)
#52

Cpt_Micha

Dec 10, 2012 11:33:06
Yes. you can get them for about $1 USD a piece.

You only need 2 for what you're trying to do.

#53

Cpt_Micha

Dec 10, 2012 11:37:14
You can do it.
If you can go to protests you can spend five minutes and do this.
Cost savings potential is huge man. $2 dollars and 15 minutes spent can save you like $300 or more easy here.

Or if you're too lazy to use a jack you can just spend like 25 dollars on car ramps, and drive up the ramps, park the car and then go underneath to inspect it.

Yep.  It's something the transmission uses to fry breakfast up for the cylinders before you drive off.  That's why it's really important to let the engine warm up a couple of minutes.  You don't want it to start the day without a healthy breakfast.

Dood, Universe was Terribad. It was BSG...without the hot chicks, or point.
And BSG sucked in the final season!

Battlestar Galactica sucked by the end of the second season.

Gurl, you cray-cray.  Universe was pretty ok.  And it had 2 or 3 hot-ish chicks in it, too.  Overall it was way better than the last season of BSG.  Cuz, you know, that last episode was painful.

What the hell is sexist about this!?

Star Wars - Return of the Jedi - Princess Leia - metal bikini - Carrie Fisher - slave girl

And on the topic of BSG, It was pure awesome, all the way through, unless youre talking about the newer one, where the guys were girls and cylons looked like everybody else
