Think of a two-axis graph. One axis represents one's odd behaviour, the other the amount of money they have. Oddness without money is simply craziness, and money without oddness is simply acceptable. Where the two overlap is eccentricity. As one's oddness and/or money increases, so to does the amount of behaviour attributed to eccentricity. I've made a simple series of charts to illustrate:

#22 CCS Jan 25, 2010 17:03:29	Odd?  Sure.  But other than the requests for the instant cell-tower & on the spot re-engineering of the fireplace none of these are too terrible.  Or at least nowhere near as bad as I figured I'd see when I clicked the link.  Not even the milking of the cow.  Though I found it sad that the prince ass walked off without returning the mans' stays. Anyways, you have to consider that the people holding these cocierge positions at these places do so knowing that bizzarre requests are just part of the job.  It's part of the challenge.  Likewise, I'm sure their guests know this as well & in some cases are just pushing it.
