| #1turalisjJun 28, 2009 13:35:59 | http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,529328,00.html He was found dead this morning in his Florida home. Truly, his voice will never be matched... |
| #2owls_and_more_owlsJun 28, 2009 13:40:32 | Jesus. A lot of people died this week. |
| #3dirtyfrankJun 28, 2009 13:50:04 | This is sad news cuz now infomercials will franking suck once more. |
| #4dirtyfrankJun 28, 2009 13:50:42 | Jesus. A lot of people died this week. When did celebrities become people? ;) |
| #5MechaliburJun 28, 2009 13:51:18 | He probably sniffed too much Oxyclean... |
| #6pigknightJun 28, 2009 13:55:06 | Celebrities are droppin' like flies. |
| #7kuonjiJun 28, 2009 14:16:58 | This makes me sadder than any of the other deaths in the news this week. Though the Ed McMahon is a close second. |
| #8Mad_JackJun 28, 2009 14:21:48 | Y'know, I have to say, he was one of the least annoying infomercial guys... And that's saying a lot coming from me. |
| #9dirtyfrankJun 28, 2009 14:21:49 | This makes me sadder than any of the other deaths in the news this week. Though the Ed McMahon is a close second. I concur. |
| #10MechaliburJun 28, 2009 15:13:04 | This makes me sadder than any of the other deaths in the news this week. Though the Ed McMahon is a close second. Why? He contributed nothing to society, besides making people want to buy a cleaning product that hardly even works. |
| #11kuonjiJun 28, 2009 15:15:08 | Why? He contributed nothing to society, besides making people want to buy a cleaning product that hardly even works. I found him to be quite entertaining overall and now cannot look forward to a lifetime of great commercials for bad products. |
| #12Oni_KaguraJun 28, 2009 15:16:12 | This sucks, Mays was an icon in advertising. And just like Jackson, he was only 50; pretty young. At least Fawcett was 62. ![]() |
| #13baneofelvesJun 28, 2009 15:17:02 | This is sad news cuz now infomercials will franking suck once more. you mean his stuff was actually good? I thought he just screamed about the product he wanted you to buy over and over and over. OXYCLEAN! IT MAKES YOUR WHITES WHITER, AND YOUR BRIGHTS BRIGHTER! OXYCLEAN! OXYCLEAN! OXYCLEEEEEAAAAAN!!! |
| #14dirtyfrankJun 28, 2009 15:18:15 | you mean his stuff was actually good? Better than MJ's stuff. |
| #15MechaliburJun 28, 2009 15:18:39 | Apparently some people think yelling about the greatness of a product is entertaining ![]() |
| #16baneofelvesJun 28, 2009 15:20:57 | Better than MJ's stuff. Michael Jackson made some really good music: and music is always better than random yelling about a product. He didn't even scream, he just yelled. See, some music that is pretty good has scream vocals in it. So, to say that he screamed would be putting him up hyah ------- when his commercials were really down hyah ------- he just shouted and yelled. |
| #17MechaliburJun 28, 2009 15:24:06 | Michael Jackson made some really good music: and music is always better than random yelling about a product. Don't forget the dancing! I personally think his dance moves are better than the music. |
| #18dirtyfrankJun 28, 2009 15:29:44 | Michael Jackson made some really good music And that is a matter of opinion because I think that all he really accomplished was the making of a few mildly OK songs. |
| #19turalisjJun 28, 2009 15:34:08 | Same. And Billy Mays didn't just shout and yell about a product. There's this thing in acting and singing called projecting your voice, which is what he was doing. |
| #20MechaliburJun 28, 2009 15:36:46 | Maybe I'd care more if he were projecting a little less loudly (he comes off as annoying when he's that loud), and maybe didn't lie about the product he was advertising. (OxiClean. Does. Not. Work.) |
| #21turalisjJun 28, 2009 15:38:38 | It works if you use it as you are supposed to.... |
| #22dirtyfrankJun 28, 2009 15:40:47 | It works if you use it as you are supposed to.... +1 |
| #23awesome_dudeJun 28, 2009 15:45:00 | ![]() Now there's only that **** Vince from the Shamwow commercials. I hate that guy. He beat up a hooker. ![]() |
| #24MechaliburJun 28, 2009 15:59:17 | Yes, I did. Other cleaning products work better. Much better. |
| #25awestrikerJun 28, 2009 16:43:18 | Ew, Vince looks EVIL... Related side note: The Discovery Channel series PitchMen has been cancelled due to BILLY MAYS BEING THE MAIN CHARACTER. |
| #26turalisjJun 28, 2009 17:01:51 | Cohost with Anthony Sulivan actualy. And on the subject of vince- http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20090216 |
| #27awestrikerJun 28, 2009 17:08:20 | Surprisingly, Tim Buckley makes him look MORE evil. That made me LOL!!! |
| #28owls_and_more_owlsJun 28, 2009 18:21:12 | Tim Buckley is the cartoonist equivalent of Hurricane Katrina. A Terrible Tragedy. IMHO |
| #29Arcane_GuyverJun 29, 2009 2:16:49 | One of my friends said he's going to buy a can of Kaboom in salute to Mays. I wasn't a huge fan of Mays. Now, Vince, scuz that he may be, can sell a product. Mays just made me mute the TV. |
| #30turalisjJun 29, 2009 2:27:16 | And Vince makes me switch channels. |
| #31Cpt_MichaJun 29, 2009 9:06:02 | Yeah, I read that this morning. Kind of sad really. From what I gathered on Pitchmen he finally felt like his career was starting to really take off. |
| #32zombie_babiesJun 29, 2009 9:20:09 | Now there's only that **** Vince from the Shamwow commercials. I hate that guy. He beat up a hooker. Hey man, the ***** deserved it. She bit his friggin' tongue and wouldn't let go. He had to kick her ass in order to escape. True story. |
| #33Vyvyan_Basterd_02Jun 29, 2009 9:51:49 | Maybe I'd care more if he were projecting a little less loudly (he comes off as annoying when he's that loud) HOW DARE YOU. HE HAD A VOICE RELATED MEDICAL CONDITION. HE SUFFERRED FROM VOICE IMMODULATION. HE WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE PITCH AND VOLUME OF HIS VOICE. ALSO KNOWN AS VAN HORTON'S SYNDROME, VI IS A RECOGNIZED PSYCHO-MEDICAL CONDITION WHICH YOU MAY HAVE READ ABOUT IN NEWSWEEK OR CRACK MAGAZINE. NUMEROUS PROMINENT AMERICANS SUFFER FROM THIS DEBILITATING DISEASE MECHALIBUR, INCLUDING THE GUY WHO PLAYED RODGE ON "WHAT'S HAPPENING" AND TENNIS GREAT PETE SAMPRAS. |
| #34rakeJun 29, 2009 11:51:44 | Jesus. A lot of people died this week. Jesus died a pretty long time ago, man. Get your history straight. |
| #35MechaliburJun 29, 2009 11:52:54 | ![]() |
| #36Vyvyan_Basterd_02Jun 29, 2009 11:56:33 | ![]() |

| #38dunhillJun 29, 2009 11:57:26 | I liked billy mays a lot. he was very iconic. If you watched his show 'pitchmen' he was pretty much the brains behind the selling of the product and pricing. The guy was a selling mastermind. He will be missed. For some reason i actually enjoyed his infomercials, i don't know what it is about him, but i had a hard time switching channels. I'm wearing my Blue shirt today in honor of his passing. EDIT: oxyclean really IS an amazing product btw |
| #39dirtyfrankJun 29, 2009 12:26:44 | Jesus died a pretty long time ago, man. Get your history straight. Lets look at what he wrote again. Jesus. A lot of people died this week. It seems more like he's talking to Jesus rather than about him. |
| #40owls_and_more_owlsJun 29, 2009 12:55:39 | Lets look at what he wrote again. It seems more like he's talking to Jesus rather than about him. Actually I was using Jesus' name in vain. Y'know, that thing your not supposed to do. It's in the bible somewhere. I think it's one of those commandment things. |
| #41dirtyfrankJun 29, 2009 13:01:26 | Actually I was using Jesus' name in vain. Y'know, that thing your not supposed to do. It's in the bible somewhere. I think it's one of those commandment things. Ya shouldn't use God's name in vain. |
| #42owls_and_more_owlsJun 29, 2009 13:02:04 | Ya shouldn't use God's name in vain. *Shrug* Oh well. |
| #43zombie_babiesJun 29, 2009 13:05:25 | You really, really shouldn't use God's name in vein. That **** will **** you up. For reals, yo. |
| #44rakeJun 29, 2009 13:09:39 | Lets look at what he wrote again. It seems more like he's talking to Jesus rather than about him. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. See, I actually thought that Owls was saying that Jesus died a week ago. c'mon, frank, give me more credit than that. Nobody's history is that bad. : P |
| #45ADHadhJun 29, 2009 13:58:07 | I know Billy Mays exclusively from YTP. I liked Big City Toilet and Suicide Putty commercial parodies ("Do you suck at life?"). |
| #46baneofelvesJun 29, 2009 15:28:52 | Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. See, I actually thought that Owls was saying that Jesus died a week ago. YOURS is |
| #47awesome_dudeJun 29, 2009 16:07:15 | Hey man, the ***** deserved it. She bit his friggin' tongue and wouldn't let go. He had to kick her ass in order to escape. True story. Biting Vince's tongue is what you should do if you encounter him. |
| #48zombie_babiesJun 29, 2009 16:09:53 | Biting Vince's tongue is what you should do if you encounter him. Well, that's true. But you should also let go after a minute or so. That's my plan, anyway. |
| #49awesome_dudeJun 29, 2009 16:23:06 | Well, that's true. But you should also let go after a minute or so. That's my plan, anyway. Yeah, I don't want him to beat you up too. |
| #50owls_and_more_owlsJun 29, 2009 16:30:57 | Now they're showing nothing but Billy Mays commercials on TV. Its almost in bad taste. |
| #51turalisjJun 29, 2009 16:31:09 | Show him a picture of Billy Mays and he'll wet himself. Billy Mays- The Chuck Norris of advertisment. |
| #52ViolenceJackJun 29, 2009 17:15:18 | You really, really shouldn't use God's name in vein. That **** will **** you up. For reals, yo. I was thinking that exact thing, but you beat me to it, as I'm just reading this thread now. In other news, where are we going. And why are we in this handbasket? |
| #53awesome_dudeJun 29, 2009 17:20:37 | You really, really shouldn't use God's name in vein. That **** will **** you up. For reals, yo. How about in artery? ![]() |
| #54baneofelvesJun 29, 2009 17:29:55 | How about in artery? I think that might be OK. Maybe. ![]() |
| #55zombie_babiesJun 30, 2009 9:00:53 | Show him a picture of Billy Mays and he'll wet himself. No way, dood. That would be Vince Shamwow. See, he's got the Slap-Chop! technique mastered. |
| #56zombie_babiesJun 30, 2009 9:01:58 | How about in artery? Nah. Powder, man. Powder. |
| #57turalisjJun 30, 2009 10:50:00 | http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20090629 Anyone see the Colbert Report last night? |
| #58puppypounderJul 01, 2009 13:02:54 | Why? He contributed nothing to society, besides making people want to buy a cleaning product that hardly even works. Which helped boost the economy. ![]() He was by far, the King of Infomercials. The only person who came close to matching his skill was Vince. |
| #59dirtyfrankJul 01, 2009 16:20:58 | http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20090629 Yeah. |
