I hate Risk.

I'm looking forward to picking up Risk Legacy this weekend, though.

I just have to get over aprehension for tearing up territory cards...

Anyone else have this game?

If I had someone to actually play it with, I would be all over this game.

As it is, I have to satisfy myself by listening to podcasts about it.

(I am in no way affiliated with the podcast. I just listen to it.)

Webster, RISK sucks.
Try something new.
Memoir '44 is a fun, fast game that we have been playing the hell out of! Of course it is only 2 player.
If you are looking for a multi-player game, then I suggest World at War by Xeno games (like Axis and Allies, but 10,000 times better).

I agree 100%. I hate risk. If my place were on fire, and I saved all my stuff, I'd toss Risk right back in.

This however, has so many other changes to the game, it's simply amazing. Instead of starting scattered about the map, you start with a HQ, and 8 armies on one spot. You have to spread out.

Changes to the board are permanent. For example, if you win a game, you can found a major city which increases the population, AND is a starting space that only YOU can start on.

Robin- One of my favorite board games is Fortress America.

I'll have to check out Memoir '44. 2 player isn't a problem, and sadly it's usually all I can get. (That's why I'm not big on 3 player games. Finding that third wheel is sometimes difficult.)
