Robert Asprin passed away yesterday, on the 22nd of May 2008. While I don't know whether or not he played D&D he certainly had the heart of a gamer and wrote some of my favorite books of all time. He will be sorely mythed.

Not even the dullest Klahd or most egregious Phule could dispute that.

Wow. Terry Pratchett diagnosed with Alzheimer's last August, Robert Jordan last September, and now Robert Asprin.

RIP, sir. RIP.

Ok before I fly into a panick and burn my house down, is this just something you heard, or do you have a link to some solid info (please god let it just be something you heard).

edit nevermind I googled it and found the info

and don't forget Gygax, he was an author too, man this has been a sucky period.

I thought that one should go without saying. And yes-- it is not a good period.

I concur. I'll myth his series.

Poetic, good call.

I still have all my books, just found them and handed them to my 11 year old.

I also enjoyed Asprin's works. Think I'll go back to reread some Thieves' World and MYTH books in his honor. *sigh*

R.I.P. Robert. Hopefully Gary'll share some of the hot women up there with you.
