Gone with the new Nike Free 3. Too many races right now to muck about with something too different. Still a move toward more minimalistic, and I love them! Did fifteen miles on them out of the box. |

You can see that he isn't taking strides that are so long that he is orced to heel strike. He makes running almost look effortlss. So I bailed on the Brooke's Puredrift. Gone with the new Nike Free 3. Too many races right now to muck about with something too different. Still a move toward more minimalistic, and I love them! Did fifteen miles on them out of the box. You should still take the Brooke's out for some of your runs. I'd suggest going with the shortr runs in the Brooke's. They will help you get into better form. |

Definitely going to use the Brooke's on shorter runs and haven't given up on them entirely. I needed a go to shoe for my next race. I have a month off afterward. i must admit, I am really liking the Nike 3s though! |

These elite marathon runners usually run a marathon at the same speed that some people run sprints. They've managed to get their form so tight that they can maintain a fast pace while using less energy than other runners. You'll notice that none of these elite runners heel strike. Could you imagine heel striking an entire marathon? Definitely going to use the Brooke's on shorter runs and haven't given up on them entirely. I needed a go to shoe for my next race. I have a month off afterward. i must admit, I am really liking the Nike 3s though! The Nike frees 3.0s aren't bad. I think they are better than most other shoes you usually see the weekend runners in. Funny enough, my mom has a pair. She loves them. She used to wear new balance and she does a ridiculous amount of walking. She lives on the beach now, so everything is close by for her. I kept telling her she needed a better shoe. I finally got her to try the Nike frees and she loved them. They have a wider toe box which allows your toes to splay better when you step. The have a lower heel-to-toe drop, which makes it easier for you to land on your forefoot. |

All I know is I am liking my form right now and not feeling any aches or pains after runs. Looks like my racing docket is filling up...still going to give the Brooke's a go. Even got a 5k coming up with friends with which I might use the Brooke's. |
