Hannah Montana? Please.. we don't need another Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears from Disney again. What god(s) have they been sacrificed to that created those "upstanding" citizens? Please, We don't need another Hero! Oh wait! (the lights dim, fog rolls out onto the stage, and a spotlight shines to the center when a platform rises to the beat of thunder.-LOL)

out of the ruins
out from the wreckage
can`t make the same mistake this time
we are the children
the last generation
we are the ones they left behind
and i wonder when we are
ever gonna change
living under the fear, till
nothing else remains

we don`t need another hero
we don`t need to know the way home
all we want is life beyond
thunderdome

looking for something
we can rely on
there`s gotta be
something better out

love and compassion
their day is coming
all else are castles built in the air
and i wonder when we are
ever gonna change
living under the fear till
nothing else remains

all the children say
we don`t need another hero
we don`t need to know the way home
all we want is life beyond
thunderdome

so what do we do with our lifes
we leave only a mark
will our story shine like a light
or end in the dark
give it all or nothing

we don`t need another hero
we don`t need to know the way home
all we want is life beyond
thunderdome

Yes, I went there! LMAO

don't you get it!!!?? if we don't sacrifice a young woman every year the crops won't grow, and we won't be able to harvest. I'm worried because hannah's late, we could all die!!! She must die for us to live!

you know, If we can get her into California, we could sacrifice the whole state.
Think of all the new coastline we'd get as a side benefit.
Nevada and Arizona Beaches, coming to you soon...

With all of that pressure, it's really just a matter of time before anyone in that situation burns out and spirals downward. I think it's ironic that Disney is literally ruining lives to make a profit.

That's because Disney is an evil corporation. Just like all the other ones. Unlike the other ones, it tries to hide behind little kid movies to hide it's crimes.

Disney is evil. And it must be destroyed.

And Walt Disney was an open antisemite. Wonderful.

I love Disney's film-making branch, especially their animation studios, but their daytime TV stuff is a little amoral.

He was? Wow. I thought that Disney got corrupted later on. I didn't know it was evil right from the start!

Walt disney actually also hated kids.

So we've got a company that makes kids movies started off by an anti-semitic, kid hating guy who froze himself.

Huh. Sort of like the old lady from Vice City who hates kids and thus sells them drug-enriched ice cream?

But I don't think you're anti-semitic, and I damn well know that you don't try to hide your hatin behind a company that exploits young people and then tosses them aside when they're no longer needed.

Disney is evil because it hides what it truly is behind little kid shows and movies.

You aren't because you're honest and open about yourself.

Let the mouse-hunting begin!!

True. I'm not anti semite, nor do I suck the life out of children and discard them.

Eh, hating Disney (the company) 'cause Walt Disney had some views that aren't really accepted now-adays isn't really fair. If you look at just about any company or corporation that got it's start before the 60s and you'll find something ugly with it's founders. The earlier it got it's start, the more likely that someone involved had views that we wouldn't accept now.

But keep in mind: George Washington and Thomas Jefferson both owned slaves, President Roosevelet had a mistress. It's hard to find anyone that gets through their lives clean as fresh laundry.

No, it's much better to judge the company, as it is today, based on their current policies and actions.

So yes, down with our animated oppressors. But down with them for what they do and how they act now, not for how one of their founders acted or what he believed.

In that case, wouldn't it be more useful to point out how long it's taken them to make an African American Disney princess, and that based off news from production of the movie it's gonna be pretty awful? Or that they're partly responsible for the whole 'pretty pink princess' thing going on? That there are almost no decent toys of Mulan or Pocohontas?

HMM. Time to do some research. :evillaugh

+1. Lovecraft was racist, Kipling supremacist, Wagner anti-semite. Does that mean we have to hate their art? Hell no! I mean, regardless of whether we're praising Disney, Cthulhu or The Valkyirie, we're not somehow implying their creators were paragons of humanity, simply that they were gifted artists.

Now, the company, that's different...

To be fair, the company has evolved quite a bit. Walt Disney only made a few cartoons, and only up to the Dumbo era. The animation studio is practically autonomous from the TV station branch, and the station is where most of the exploiting occurs. And it's really only a few kids who sold their souls for fame anyway.

On the other hand, Disney is a financial superpower, one of the few holding this nation's economy together. It's been the forerunner in animated films for as long as I can remember and has put out many movies that have moved many people and pushed the limits of the perception of animation.

Cartoons used to be seen as strictly akin to Looney Toons and the like, but Snow White changed that. When Disney's animators saw people crying as they left the theater, they knew that they had changed the face of animated films forever. Since then, they've continually kept pace with films like The Lion King, Aladdin, etc., and Japan's branch has created timeless classics on a worldwide scale, such as Spirited Away and Grave of the Fireflies (my personal favorite movie of all time, and a war movie that Roger Ebert values among the ranks of Schindler's List).

TL;DR - only attack the TV channel part ;)

Eh. Disney as a whole needs to be brought to it's knees. Why? So copywrite laws can finally move on. Disney has been getting congress to change copywrite laws ever since Steamboat Willy was in danger of becoming public domain.

Escher's right, as usual.

Most of the things wrong with today's copyright laws are Disney's fault.

Since Cpt_Micha's bringing the flamethrower and bane's bringing the Rock-it Launcher, I suppose I'll bring the LOIC.

You can never be too sure.

No. Did you watch that episode of South Park? What we do is we take a young girl, turn them into someone that is loved and famous, then, we slowly drive them insane, using the media. Eventually, their suicide/overdose/whatever becomes the sacrifice that helps the crops grow.

It's actually better if they aren't virgins.

That there are almost no decent toys of Mulan or Pocohontas?

Well, that's because the toys that exist for those titles are very accurate to the animation.
And since neither are shining examples of Disney's best work, what would you expect from an "accurate" toy???

Didn't see it, but it's on my DVR along with a increasingly backlogged catalouge of other programs. I was thinking more along the lines of those old "throw the virgin in the volcano" sacrifices.
