How did this go over my head? Saw as a (very overrated) series is not even 10 years old and they want to reboot it? Good old Hollywood...
Edit: Apparently Lionsgate has had this idea since the last one came out. But, I tend not to research into stuff I don't like... I'm going to drown my sorrows in some classic John Carpenter horror movies now.
A remake sequel? Bah, Raimi already did that with Evil Dead 2.
Evil Dead 2 wasn't a remake, it was a retcon of the first movie
Now, as for the Evil Dead remake, Bruce Campbells says it is, "fabulous"... Whatever you say, Bruce.
But yeah, get ready for SAW... again.
Not surprising. These films are for teens. There is a whole new generation who still think that saws are for music.
Man, there's a generation of kids who believe Brokencyde (Arguably one of the worst bands of the decade) when they say "The fog machine is an instrument."

On a positive note (yeah right), at least Lionsgate isn't rebooting their plan b, Twilight. Better to face the lesser of two evils, I guess.
