#2 The_Silversword Aug 03, 2012 2:03:24	You know, I was just pondering the other day, if you listened to music from my dads generation, stuff like The BeeGees, The Electric Light Orchestra, The Rolling Stones, The Pink Floyd, The Cream, everything had to have 'the' in front of it for some reason, any way my point is, if you take that music then listened to stuff from my generation, it sounds vastly different, you can defintely tell if a song is from the 70s, knowhatimean, but if you take the stuff i listened to back in the day, and compare that to current stuff, it all pretty much sounds the same, popular music hasnt really changed much in the last 20 years, anyway, what were we talkin about?

I did say pretty much sounds the same, which isnt the same as it sounds exactly the same, yes there are some differences here and there, but, but, the sound of popular music hasnt changed as  drasitically between the 90's to now, as it did, say between the 60's - 80's. I can normally place when a song came out as well, but thats mostly because i remember that particular song, but if i had been on a desereted island for the last 20 years, and i was presented with various songs that i had never heard from that time and was made to put them in chronological order from when they was released, I dont think I would be very successfull.
