Me very busy.  Gettin picks in nao!

Dallas at NY Giants
Indianapolis at Chicago

New England at Tennessee
Atlanta at Kansas City
Jacksonville at Minnesota
Washington at New Orleans
Buffalo at NY Jets
St. Louis at Detroit
Miami at Houston
San Francisco at Green Bay
Seattle at Arizona
Carolina at Tampa Bay
Pittsburgh at Denver

Not terribly comfortable pickin' for Pittsburgh or - and I hate to admit this - Green Bay.  SF's D didn't get any worse and their receiving corps got better.  I have to think they're a good SB pick.  Too bad I'm such a GB fanboy.

I know.  I hate this stoopid forum game, man.  I get all depressed watching my picks explode in my face.

But it is kinda cool that the league is, like, nowhere near what it seems most of us thought it was.  Gotta love the NFL for the variety, I guess.  Make pickin' winners pure hell, though.

Send Cam and the boys packing.

Friggin Benchwarmers the lot of them.

You know, last season honestly after week 4 we all did pretty well. This season... none of us are doing well. I suspect we'll have a bloody season.

HAHAHHA Browns OWNED.

I will say this, a great many of our picks have been ruined by these Amateur Refs.

Yeah, I told you you could rub my face in that one.    And what happened to the Niners?!  Oh well, Since you gave me a tip, I'll return the favor: the Browns have every chance in the world of going 0-16.  ;)

Once again the preceding weeks are of no real help except for a few cases.  This year's been tough, IMO.  Don't like most of those picks.  Then again, for all I know I'll get all of 'em right.  Ok, I know I won't.

Silver on replacement refs.  According to the article, a lot of players believe the Packers got jobbed - including a divisional rival (unnamed, unfortunately) and Marshawn Lynch.

Anyhoo, I vote we strike the Seahawks 'win' down and count the true victor - the Green Bay Packers - as our week 3 winner for the purpose of this game.

Some picks I don't like.  Meh.  Miami could win.  Strange but true.  Atlanta kinda laid an egg this week so yeah, not totally sure.  Cleveland has a history of beating down the defending champs for some reason.  Last time the Giants won it all they came to Cleveland and got d-stroyed.  The Browns put up like 44 or something messed up.  Don't see it happening again but still.  Philly/Pittsburgh is tough.  If Philly shows up, though, it'll be a win.  I also don't like the Seattle pick.  Cam is a real force but I kinda wonder where his head's at right now.  New England/Denver is also interesting.  Slow start for the Pats means they'll lose, IMO.  If not, they should be able to stay ahead of Manning.  New Orleans played really well against the Pack this week so I think they're due.  But, you know, they're still not playing well overall.

Ugh, lotsa picks I don't like.  Oh well.  I know, I picked the Browns.  I dunno, I just think they have a chance maybe.  And Haden's back.  Miami and St Louis is, to me, a toss up.  I think Indy has what it takes but the Jets aren't a bad team - they're just playing very, very badly.  They looked ok against Houston, though.  And Indy is no Houston.  Philly and Detroit could go either way.  Depends on which Vick shows up.  Tampa should be able to handle KC.  Baltimore and Dallas is interesting but I have more faith in the birds than I do the boys - especially at Baltimore.  New England and Seattle - well, it sucks to make that pick.  Goin' against the birds at home against a team with a meh D is sorta silly.  But it's Brady and Bill.  Arizona should kill Buffalo but that game last week was awful.  Giants/ San Fran should be an awesome game.  I think SF is the better team here, though.  Minnesota and Washington is interesting.  RG3 may be out, though, IIRC - in which case it's probably not that interesting (though Cousins showed a li'l promise).  Green Bay at Houston ... I probably shoulda picked the Texans.  I just have that BS fan's faith that GB will be very motivated to take on a good team after choking against a bad one.  Denver/San Diego?  Toss up.  Manning has been playing ridiculously well lately, though.  Too bad the rest of his offense is letting him down at key moments.  Ugly week for me, most likely.

Told you losers that the Browns and Packers would win!  Yeah!    I think the Browns may win this week, too.  Indy isn't great but the Browns can totally implode San Diego/Dallas style - but without the, you know, talent.  If the Pack loses ...

Seattle at San Francisco   9ers bounce back, Hawks let down after big win against Pats.

SUN, OCT 21
Tennessee at Buffalo    Battle of who could care less.  Eh.
Washington at NY Giants   Well, the Giants are defending SB champs.
New Orleans at Tampa Bay   Going with the offense.  Talib is still out right?
Dallas at Carolina   Battle of coaches standing on the sidelines expressionless as the clock winds.  Go Panthers!
Baltimore at Houston   Houston bounces back from an embarassing home blowout
Cleveland at Indianapolis   Ugly.
Green Bay at St. Louis   Is Rodgers rounding into form?
Arizona at Minnesota   Ponder playing well.  Close games and lucky breaks catch up with Cards.
NY Jets at New England   Brady/Belichick at home vs. the JEST
Jacksonville at Oakland   Ugh.
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati   I sure hope this isn't on tv in my market.

Im getting around to it. I'm behind because I'd rather play LoL than take 5 minutes out of my week. I got a test today that i've been studying for during the last few days (had to catch up by reading a few books during the last week) so expect updates on standing either later today or tomorrow. Tomorrow or even later this week is more likely.

Dallas, the Panthers and the Browns need a free for all game.

The "winner" gets the biggest loser of the NFL award.

But would Rivera, Garrett, or Shurmur be the HC? Cause if that's the case, they'd still be awful.

Good riddance Marty! It's a shame you can't take those **** contracts with you.

Heh, the Chargers are so terrible I almost picked the Browns.  Seattle/Detroit is more difficult than it should be since Detroit has a decent D and Seattle can't throw in practice.  Jets/Dolphins is a toss up, IMO - Jets have more talent, though.  I think it's time for Atlanta's comeuppance but I picked 'em anyway since Vick is a fumblin' pick factory.  RGIII could beat the Steelers ... since the Steelers are so banged up they actually called me to see if I'd start at tailback or DB.  Indy could beat the Titans but their run D is terrible (against every RB not named Trent Richardson, anyway) I think CJ2K will beat 'em down.  Dallas/Giants ... damn Giants cost me a loss already with the first installment.  I don't think it'll happen again, though.  NO/Denver is also interesting.  Thing is, NO has no pass D and Manning is on a mission.  If his receivers can hold onto the ball ...

Week 8

THU, OCT 25
Tampa Bay at Minnesota           Minnesota
Dear god you're making me pick here? Tampa is like one week amazing and tight and the next sloopy and awkward. The vikings need to go to a rest home though...

SUN, OCT 28
Carolina at Chicago                 Chicago.
Seriously the Can'ts can't even beat Dallas. They're done. 1-15 baby!

San Diego at Cleveland              Chargers.
Implosion vs Suck.

Seattle at Detroit                     Detroit.   If stafford gets pressured at all though they'll fall apart horribly. Again.
o
New England at St. Louis         New England.... seriously you expect anyone to pick the Damned Rams?

Miami at NY Jets              Miami.   Toss up game though.
Atlanta at Philadelphia           Fatlanta.
The Eagles Suck besides it's OTTer tradition to call for the **** of eagles. And boy are they gonna get it this weekend.

Washington at Pittsburgh          Pittsburgh..
Dead skins suck.

Jacksonville at Green Bay         Green Bay... another gimme game for the pack. Soft Schedule every year like this how can you -not- have a winning record? Parity in the NFL my assss
Indianapolis at Tennessee       Tennessee. The Browns scored against Indy for cripe sake.
Oakland at Kansas City            Oakland. Kansas is still a fail state.
NY Giants at Dallas                   Giants.    I saw them play last weekend and had the chance to go see it in person. I'm glad I didn't. They can barely beat the Panthers. Do you think they'll have any chance against the Giants? I think not.
New Orleans at Denver           Denver.  Saints are just mediocre this year.

MON, OCT 29
San Francisco at Arizona        Arizona.

Yeah, I thought they'd get slaughtered, too.  Odd game.  Terrible weather and the Browns managed to do just enough on O and D.  Richardson had a hell of a day (122 on 24 and a TD), Weedon didn't make any mistakes (came close, though) and the D bent but didn't break.  Oh, and there was that dropped touchdown pass, too.

Yeah, they totally fell apart.  I think that Denver game really messed with their heads.  You have to wonder what the hell is going on with them - and the Eagles, for that matter.

And your poor, poor Cats.  Played a hell of a game against a hell of a team and just barely lost.
#107

Oct 29, 2012 12:17:38
And yet against Dallas they barely lost. Kinda makes me wish sometimes it was like baseball where there were 3 games played.

I think the Cowgirls would be ridden hard and put away wet in a rematch.

I can at least say I do see the Cats learning -something- each game this season. Whether or not it's the right lessons remain to be seen.

I hope they extensively go over the tapes of last sunday and build their team around what they did there. And nothing else this season.

They've been in it most games.  Close but not quite there yet.  Believe it or not, the Browns have a similar story this year.  They're getting beat but they aren't getting blown out.  For the Browns, that's progress.  For the Cats, it's regression but it also looks like a fix shouldn't be too hard to find.

That regression I think is in part due to Cam Newton. He thinks it's College still. He's an amazing college level QB. But NFL he isn't. Not yet. The College Coach we have isn't helping that mind set yet either.

They need to get some Veterans for the O Line next draft pick to teach the team, really teach how the NFL plays compared to college.

An article I read today put the blame for the last loss on the coaching staff - too conservative at the wrong times.  The pick he threw wasn't his fault either, I guess.  He's got some growing up to do, that's for sure, but he's got the talent.

And to add insult to injury and give you some added fodder, my team Chelsea played Man U on Sunday, lost 3-2 and two Chelsea players were tossed out of the game (one for flopping)

There is going to be some cracking down of diving in the Prem.  A lot of which has to do with the press related to that rat bastard Suarez from Liverpool.  The guy even had the nerve to dive in front of the crowd as a goal celebration.

To anyone that thought the deadskins would win that. Seriously why did you?

Really Washington's schedule year in and year out is a complete joke. While the Cats get to deal with most of the playoff contenders year in and year out.

Also, lol deadskins.

I did reasonably well the last couple of weeks. But the cats winning and me calling it, (among my non internet friends I even called the score) that made the whole season worth it  (I had said the cats would be 1-15 yes.. but I forgot the washington deadskins was on the schedule. This might be the only other time winning though)

Go Steelers!

And Carolina sucks Cap'n, you realize that, right?

There have only been three bad teams on the Cats schedule. The Saints, Dallas, and Washington have been the only bad teams Carolina has played.

Your Steelers on the other hand? Dude you have much easier schedules up there.

Also yeah the Cats aren't good. They aren't Brownstains but they aren't good either. Mediocre really.

That's still better than anything in Washington's conference, by quite a large margin though.

msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/carolina-pant...   I mean seriously look at the first 9 weeks.

There are some soft games coming up where the cats should put a mauling on some other teams. Particularly the Chiefs. There's 4 games coming up that the cats should have a very good chance at winning.

They might stand a fair chance against Denver this weekend, since the Denver D isn't all that great and Cam's offense -needs- to be contained or else they'll put points on the board. Honestly, the cats almost beat the bears. And the Bears D is probably the best in the league right now. It'll be a high scoring blood bath between the Broncos and Panthers I think.

No he isn't. Not really. I picked the cats because I thought maybe just maybe the cats would have pulled it out of the fire I knew they would finish with a losing season, new coach, just out of college QB etc.

How bad the losses were going to be was mroe the question. Anyone that was expecting otherwise out of the cats, was not seeing the big picture.

Also, see above about Hiesman winner. Honestly I'd trade Cam away for a Real offensive line. I'd even put matt moore back in to get a real O line, and some better defensive tackles on the other side fo the ball.

And again the Cats had a very rough schedule. Like they always do. NFC south always gets the tough schedules. Because all but 1 NFC south team at any given year is a play off contender. (Tampa or Carolina rounding out the last spot each year)

I just hope the coach sees the problem this year. It's cam and a lack of a real offensive line. The college heroics crap don't work in the NFL.

Week 10

THU, NOV 8
Indianapolis at Jacksonville          I'm going with Andrew Luck on this one. Indy.
Jags need to get Tebowfied and stat.

SUN, NOV 11
NY Giants at Cincinnati                 The Giants are really strong on the away games. I'm going to say last week was a fluke.   Giants.
Tennessee at Miami        Miami. Easy.
Detroit at Minnesota           If Minn's D can pressure Stafford the Lions are boned. But I'm picking Lions.
Buffalo at New England        Patriots. Even though they are meh this year.
Atlanta at New Orleans         Fatlanta.
San Diego at Tampa Bay     Tampa Bay.
Denver at Carolina        High Scoring game, but I'm going to pick Denver on this. Peyton > Cam. Broncos Win.
Oakland at Baltimore         Mauled Baltimore, against the Rest Home Raiders.   Baltimore.
NY Jets at Seattle               Seattle. Jets are a joke.
Dallas at Philadelphia     Fail Off.     Dallas.

Someone fire the head coach, and the GM both. And someone ditch Cam too.

Hey ZB you like Cam right? You can have him.

Retard, that's what Cam is.

I'll take Tebow over Cam any day. At least Tebow can play on the NFL's level.

Might still be interesting. Smith hadn't really been producing much last few weeks. Niners might be better off with Kaepernick for a few weeks until Smith can get himself out of whatever sort of funk he might be in.

Yeah, there were calls to replace Smith by some before he went down anyway.  This might be the excuse Harbaugh was lookin' for.  ;)

That said, I think it's an easy pick.  I mean, both teams have great D but the 9rs have a better backup.  And, you know, it's at home for them, too.

Umm ... wow.  I picked the three visitors for the Thursday games.  That's ... well, it's pretty insane.  I just think Houston's better than Detroit, Washington is better than Dallas (who barely beat the Browns at home) and New England is better than the Jets.  Hell, I think Indy is better than the Jets and New England ate them for lunch yesterday.  Oh well, stats say me make three bad picks right off the bat.  We'll see.  I did pretty good last week so who knows?  Er, make it four bad picks.  I shoulda probably picked Minnesota.  Oh well.  Tempted to pick Cleveland since they looked pretty ok against Big D and Big Ben and Troy are still out but, well, the Pittsburgh D dominated the Ravens.  Had they had Ben, they'd likely have destroyed Baltimore.  So yeah.  I think Miami is done.  That Atlanta/Tampa game should be fun.  Wonder if Matty Ice will stop with the suck.  Tennessee and Jacksonville?  Why does the NFL hate us so much!?!?  I have a hard time picking the Packers and the 9rs but, well, I did.  Let's see if Carolina can make it through four quarters without collapsing.  I'm bettin' they can but I'm far from sure.

Meh. Kaepernick was already getting play time in games and has played at least 1 play in almost every game this season. Smith has been cool with it from what I hear and they've been workin together to make the offense better and junk and stuffs. If this means Kaepernick gets more plays or he and smith swap startin games idk, but I dont think its something Smith would dislike/hate/oppose unless it meant he lost his job/position outright. I just kinda see it as Harbaugh saying we got two QBs we can own with and I aint afraid of using either one.

Point is you are probably gonna lose if our starting QB starts. Definitely gonna lose if our back up starts. Be afraid. Very afraid.

And the Bears looked terrible last night. Not sure if they were just having a bad night or if that first quarter just mentally beat them that hard but man they didn't look like a top team.

I really think it had a lot to do with Cutler and that quick score.  They got hit fast and knew that Campbell wouldn't be able to dig them out of a hole.  The 9rs would lock down on Forte and keep him under control so Campbell would have to pass.  And he can't.  Plus that offensive line, wtf?  Wow, terribad.  But yeah, I think they got beat mentally about halfway through the first quarter.  They had no faith in Campbell and it showed once the (somehow) got surprised by Kaepernick.  They quit.  That's not to say that they would have won had they not given up so early, of course.  They were done before they showed up.  Campbell is bad.  Kapaernick is good.  Oh, and he gets playing time, too.  Reps in practice, etc.  Stuff Campbell doesn't get.  And the D is great and it was at home.  The 9rs had this on lock.

I think Smith is plenty good to win with that team but Kaepernick provides some stuff Smith just doesn't.  When things don't work, he's a better bet to get something done than Smith is.  Really, it's a testament to the 9rs O that things rarely don't work.  The system is insanely complex (and, as a result, beautiful to watch) and yet it seems to run pretty smoothly.  My one concern was that Kaepernick wasn't ready for the complexity but, well, he was.  I dunno, if it were me I'd start Kaepernick in the next game.  If you lose it won't hurt to badly and you just go back to Smith next week.  If you win, it could be massive.  I mean, he could be the real deal.  It maybe wasn't just a combination of a fast start at home and an opponent that wasn't mentally there.  And he's got more to offer than Smith.  He's got a bigger arm and he's more mobile.  When you can stretch the field like he can, it opens up the run and the short and mid range passing game.  He really seems like the better option at this point.  But it's tough cuz Smith doesn't suck and he's mastered that complex O really well.  Still, I'd take talent over experience here.

In the NFL you can't really do that split QB thing.  Doesn't seem to work.  A few snaps here and there, sure, but not a half of a game or even alternating games.  If Harbaugh starts Kaepernick and he does well, he'll be your new QB and Smith will likely be traded.  Still, it's only been one game.

Smith is probably kinda coming towards the end of his carrier. He's had shoulder work done on him some. Last few years like he takes any sort of decently hard hit and he's out. I wouldn't be surprised if the point of giving kaepernick some play time this season would be to get him ready for next season or whatnot and juse use smith to help train him and get him ready for the offense and junk. And yeah I know you're right about the QB thing, which is why its been a sort of big thing that our back up has gotten so much playing time already this season. It makes no sense to do so unless you're expecting Smith to get injured and need a good and experienced back up or if you plan for him to take over in the near future.

I think they just see what they have in Kaepernick.  Like, he's obviously got the physical tools and it appears he's mentally there, too.  You just have to use your best option.  Look at Seattle.  I mean, they spent like $10 mil getting Flynn and he rides the pine cuz they saw more in Wilson.  It looks like they think Kaepernick is the better option.  It just sucks for ya'all cuz Smith is more than serviceable and you're so close to the SB.  If it was a lost season this would be way, way easier.  It's harder to mess with the formula when it's actually working.

Zb, Philly never had it to lose it. ;)  Seriously any team with Vick on the primary roster is like one that has Cam on it. (A Cam fit for a Rest home.. so Worse) relies soley on the QBs college style antics to get anything done because said QB is too dumb to realize there's a whole team on the side of the ball he's on.    Also, ZB, betting against the Raiders? That's always a safe bet.

dood, Philly started like 4-0 or something.  All close games, though.  The issue isn't with Vick, it's with the line.  Their line is terrible to begin with and they've got peeps hurt and out, too, so backups have to play.  And they suck.  That team has so much talent on it they shouldn't be terrible.  Reid is likely out.

Betting against the Raiders is definitely a good idea.  Thing is, they can sometimes put up points and the Browns mostly can't.  And now they may be without Weeden.  I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but you gotta remember last year with McCoy to understand.  The Browns went weeks and weeks without scoring an offensive TD in a game.  Pathetic.  With Weeden, that has not been the case.  He does make them better for the most part.  So yeah, while I agree betting against Oakland is usually a good idea, this week makes me wonder.

Philly had a soft schedule in the first 4 weeks too.  And part of it's Vick. Vick is part of the reason (whether it's directly his fault or not) the O Line is so bad. The people who write the checks, and cooridinate the O line, see Vick's college antics and assume that that's all you need to win and that the Oline is useless as a result.  (in Cam's case it was a question of running out of $ after hiring the little turd. That and Cam's "Me Me Me" attitude is a double hit job on the Cat's O line)
The Cats and Eagles both suffer tremendously from having Vick and Cam in the Qb slot. Vick I really think it's on the coaching end. Cam it's both. I watched a game here recently where Cam fumbled the ball attempting some college antics. One of the other cats managed to secure the ball and score a TD.

The whole team was at that point in the in zone and celebrating. Except for one douche nozzle. Cam. Cam was too busy marching off the field and crying on the bench.

Cam does have attitude trouble and I do think that he sort of hurts the O because he forced them to change the way they played after they signed two RBs to high dollar contracts.  But that's not his fault.  That's poor planning.

As for the college antics stuff, well, welcome to the new NFL.  Peeps are finally wising up and adapting their game plans to their talent rather than adapting their talent to their game plans.  That college antics stuff worked well enough in Denver last year and for Cam, too.  If you don't think it can work, just watch the 9rs.  They're running plenty of read-option stuff with Kaepernick, too.  Not as much as Carolina, no, but it's there and it works.  And if that's not enough, well, I strongly suggest that you watch a Redskins game some time.  ;)

Until the 9ers actually get a SB ring, the pats stop being effective, and same deal with Fatlanta I'm not buying it.
The NFL operates the way it does for a reason. The basic play elements are the way they are for a reason. It's because they work better than the Me Me Me of College.
It's called Team Synergy. And College Antics don't play with that well.

Nov 28, 2012 11:40:24
The read option is all about team synergy.  It simply puts more responsiblity on the QB at the line.  ;)

That said, there hasn't been a one system NFL for a very long time.  The days of only running the ball are long over.  The forward pass wasn't always in play, you know.  And neither was the West Coast offense that so many teams run today - well, a version of it anyway.  The Packers and the Browns, for example, both run WC.  Can you tell?  ;)  New England is good not because they decided to stay with a more traditional, pocket passing approach.  They're good cuz they decided to do that and Tom Brady happens to be excellent in that role ... and he'd be terrible running the read option.  Cuz he can't, you know, run.  Same with Manning and that's why they pulled the read option when they (correctly) booted Tebow.  Manning just doesn't fit with that style of play.  That synergy thing you mentioned applies to more than just the players.  The coaches need to see it, too.  And the coaches seem to understand that Cam and RGIII aren't going to offer their best from the pocket.  They have a run ability that needs to be exploited.  It's exactly the same thing that NE and Denver are doing - albeit also totally different.  Run the game according to the talent on the field.  Don't try to force the talent to adapt to the style (though in some cases that's feasible).  If Belichick had Cam, NE would be running a version of the offense that Carolina is.  It's that simple.  And that's cuz BB is no dummy.

EDIT: Ohio State is a good example.  They ran a more traditional OSU offense last year and went 6-7.  This year they went to the read option (since the new coach likes it and happens to understand what his QB is good at).  Their record this year?  12-0.

It also brings out just how Terrible, a bad QB (like Cam) is.
Cam is not a leader. Cam can't play either not on a real pro level. And Cam has a horrible attitude (which ties into the first problem directly)

Someone like Cam needs to be forced into a role against his will kicking and screaming if necessary. The reason you didn't see Read Options in the past, is rather simple. Because Athletes by and large are nothing but a bunch of whiny Me First primadonnas when they get out of college.

It takes a mature, and Seasoned QB in order to run a read option. (See 9ers) Otherwise you end up with Carolina.

Cam doesn't need to be running. That's what DeAngelo Williams and Stewart are for.
Well I suppose Cam in particular does need to be running. Running Home.

Let's face it even Jake Delhomme was capable of getting the cats to the superbowl. He was a shotgun QB with a team that had a phenominal O line, and running game. with a young Steve Smith to catch the wild off the cuff throws that The Shake had to throw down range.

The team worked well because the team actually liked The Shake as a human being.
Cam is none of these things. Oh sure he's talented on a throw. But he's not talented at moving throws. Which is what a "running QB" should be good at. He panics, or decides he'll just run the ball himself and more often than not cost the team yards.

Michael Vick is much the same way, but he's older so he gets even less success.

Those 2 are shining examples why in my opinion the "read offense" is just going to be a passing fad, just like Wildcat was.

For the Record if we had the chance to trade Cam away for Tebow, and I was in charge to make that call, Carolina would be Tebow Country faster than you can say Cats.

Wow, dood.  Tebow?  You cray-cray.

That said, I think you're totally wrong about a lot of stuff.  See, the read option doesn't take a seasoned vet to run it.  They run it in college.  ;)  Then you totally explain what's wrong with the Cats but then blame it all on Cam anyway.  Jake had a line and a quality receiver, Cam doesn't ... so it's all Cam's fault?  That's just silly, brah.  And get used to the read option.  The NFL is embracing it and the NCAA is running it all over the place - along with the spread.  A lot of NFL teams run spread sets now, too.  It's an awakening of sorts.  If you adapt to your stars, you can draft any star.  If you force your stars to adapt to you, you limit your draft pool.  Hell, it limits your trade pool, too.  It's a new day in the NFL (and NCAA), homie.

Yes Tebow. Because Tebow can fire on the move. Cam Can't.
Cam is a Can't not a Cat.  Carolina football has always been about the QB having enough time to find a guy to move the ball to, and then firing it down range on the move if necessary or handing it off to our RBs. Cam can't chew bubblegum and walk at the same time, and Tebow can.

Steve Smith is still an amazing receiver. When The Shake, was here, we didn't even have anything resembling decent Tight Ends either.

Now we do.
Minus the O Line, honestly we have a team that's every bit as good if not better Offensively than Jake The Shake had.

We have a crap O line. but Solid TEs, and 2 Good WRs.
We also have, Jonathon Stewart and DeAngelo Williams.
The Offense is Loaded with weapons now. There's 2 weak links in Cat Country. Cam, and the O line. (and I'm starting to suspect that the O line is alot better than what Cam is doing with it. Seriously, I've watched him try to find someone open before, it takes him forever and a day. And then he decides to run when the pocket invetitably collapses) Ya'll get to see Cam on the highlight reels on the few plays he can make. We unfortunately get stuck having to watch the full games every week. Dood's a trainwreck, every bit as bad as The Shake was in his final years here.

It's alot Cam's fault because he refuses to utilize the team he has with him. At all. The new coach isn't helping things either, since he's used to College Antics and having just 1 or 2 guys carry a team. Only problem is, Cam isn't that good (no QB is in the NFL).

Cam just thinks "Oh it's time fo rme to run another TD out! I need to score! ME!"

Due to Cam's Me First mentality too it wears down our Defense with all the 3 and outs we have. Our D isn't bad, it's not the best, but it's honestly far from the worst. But our D is tired. And personally I think they are also tired of a loser QB that goes out there and does a 3 and 0 almost everytime he's on the field.

Also I also made sure to say mature players in there ZB. Also alot of high schools have been running a Read style offense for years now, which is why you're seeing college kids running it early in their careers (but it often doesn't shine until they are Seniors if you notice). The Highschool I work at is a read style offense. It does us alot of good in our conference, (and it took us to the state semi final) but once the opponents pick up what's going on, it's done. Easy. The game quickly becomes a low score drag if you're lucky and a quick face pwn if you aren't.

It comes down to how well the coaches in HS, and College taught the kids if they are smart enough for a Read or not. Cam ain't one of those, that's for sure.

..."window.parent.tinyMCE.get('post_content').onLoad.dispatch();" class="mceContentBody " contenteditable="true" />More upsets, df?  Heh.  I really think it's over for Philly.  Too many injuries now.  Dallas is pretty terrible but they're not Philly bad just yet.  Plus Dallas still has something to play for.  Anyhoo, buncha picks I don't like but what-evs.  I don't really think the Browns will win ('specially since Weeden may be out) but I figured what the hell.

Its not so much for upsets but I've been kinda riding the dallas wagon for a while this season and every time i seem to pick them they lose or barely win,  but mainly lose or something. So what if phili gots all them injuries, dallas will still fine a way to lose. That's just dallas for ya.

ZB you should totally support your team and change your pick to the Browns. (I'm pretty sure with the horrid couple weeks we all had that you and I are out of the running for winning this pick season anyway )

Heh, yeah it probably wouldn't hurt anything.    That said, I do want them to lose.  Hell, 5 wins is too many.  We need some new doods and a new coach.  If they win the last two we won't get either!

The GM can stay, though.  He's done a decent job.

I can assure you we're well past first second or third round picks with as bad as Kansas and Oakland are.

Though knowing Oakland they'll trade their picks to Carolina again

Cam better start working towards not Sucking Balls next year. (along with the rest of the team) Otherwise we'll start phone calling Tebow.

I mean seriously Tebow's team had alot less talent and he got the broncos pretty far.

A lot less talent?  dood, the Broncos may well end up winning the Super Bowl.  The only real personnel difference on that team between last year and this year?  Tebow's riding pine in New York and Manning's at the helm in Denver.  ;)

The Cats will improve.  It doesn't look like their coach sucks and they have talent at QB and RB.  They could use another receiver, IMO.  That said, I'm pretty sure I said the same thing last year.
