#3 zombie_babies Jul 26, 2012 11:51:04	Nationalizing it doesn't guarantee lower cost.  What it does guarantee is no competition to force a lower cost if at any point the cost rises.  That's what competition is supposed to do.  Of course, with price fixing and the like it doesn't actually happen, but ...
#4 zombie_babies Jul 26, 2012 12:36:02	Meh, it's all trust.  I choose to trust no one.  Competition can work and it has also been shown to fail.  Nationalization can work and has also been shown to fail.  Pick your poison, more or less.  In a modern, successful country, though, I suppose it could be argued that you'd actually be safer with nationalized stuff.
