I was at Barnes & Noble a few days ago to pick up new books. I saw a little booklet for sale for a few dollars; the booklet was a Self-Scoring Personality test. I had never taken one before, and I was curious what it would say about me, so I bought it, and I took the test. The test measured personality on four different levels, and my results are as posted below:

Intoversion/Extroversion
This part of the test was measured by counting the amount of A answers vs the amount of B answers given for questions. The scale ranges from 20 which is Extremely introverted to 0 which is Extremely extroverted. I scored a 10 which puts me exactly in the middle.

Emotional Stability
Much like the section prior to this one, results were measured by counting the number of A answers you have vs the number of B answers you have. The scale ranges from 30/29 which is Unshakable to 0 which is Neurotic. I scored a 20 which puts me toward the top of the "steady" range and right below "balanced."

Creativity
In this part you had five minutes to attempt to make 15 drawings inspired by lines which were on the page. The range went from 1 which is uncreative to 15 which is very creative. I scored myself between 13 and 14...I'm unsure if one of my drawings is disqualified from counting or not which is why I scored between two numbers.

Strong Mindedness
This section was similar to the first two, but it included far more questions, and there were three possible answers: X, ?, and Y. The range went from Over 400 points which is "very aggressive, inflexible, bossy" to below 50 points which is "very timid, easily dominated." My scored was 226 which puts me exactly in the middle of the middle category of "a balanced personality, diplomatic."

So what did I learn? I learned that I'm creative and that I am relatively strong minded. Other than that, I'm unsure of what to think. If you believe in astrology and things of that nature, I am a Gemini which supposedly means that I have a dual-sided personality. Occasionally, I have even thought that I seem to have two opposite personalities which seem to be smashed together. After looking at this test, I think perhaps all of that is true. I am either neither introverted nore extroverted or somehow both at the same time, and I seem to be exactly in the middle when it comes to strong mindedness and bossiness versus compassion.

Regardless of what I learned, doing this was strangely fun. I found it very interesting to test myself and see what the results were. I highly suggest doing this to other people.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool. I mean, I know what I thought about myself before the test, but it was interesting to see how close my self-view was to the view that I apparently reflect outward toward other people.

As I said in my post, I highly suggest doing this. It's a good excercise to help learn about yourself. I bought two of the booklets. One was a Personality Test, and the other one measures "Emotional Intelligence." Each booklet was around 3 dollars at Barnes & Noble.

Also, I think that after taking the test I can now get a better idea of how to create different D&D characters. Since I now know more about my own personality, I can come up with character mindsets by changing aspects of my own personality.
