That's a real misfire right there. And this entire problem wouldn't have existed either if they'd just done that little thing right.
#10 Cpt_Micha Dec 22, 2011 8:55:43	Actually it still would, for us Americans. We have several regional dialects that this thing doesn't even register correctly apparently. Boston accent is a good example, as is the really deep southern drawl as another.

And it wouldn't work for some people probably with really thick accents, but like they said in the show: southern accent is recognized if you put it on UK mode. So just put it on UK mode, and if would operate based on your current location, the problem would cease to exist at least for most people. You'll never be able to launch something that recognizes everyone, not for the coming decade at least. Hell, people can barely make out what heavily accented folks are talking about, let alone having a machine do it.
#15 dirtyfrank Dec 23, 2011 5:34:30	I think the problem is that Apple didn't expect people outside of their hipster elitist fan base to by this contraption, but because folks outside of that demographic did buy the darn thing the issues about their shoddy software has come to the forefront.
