So a "man" by the name of Tim Profitt, former Bourbon County campaign coordinator for the Rand Paul campaign, curb-stomped a peaceful protestor (video) and now has the temerity to demand an apology from the woman he put in hospital with a concussion.

he said he did it to protect her. as in stomping on her to keep her down  so they wouldn't throw her on the ground again. I don't believe it but that was his defence.

First: That's disgusting.  What a piece of garbage.  If she needed to be controlled, she was already under it when he decided to give her an extra shot.  He should be jailed.

Second:

I don't understand. Tea Baggers are peace loving people. He was clearly a plant and in cahoots with the woman. The left is trying to control us! It is in Revelations people!

It clearly is in control of you as evidenced by your lumping every member of a group into a subset of morons that clearly do not represent the whole and your use of a pejorative to name said group.  Yeah, they ain't about spreadin' BS and rapin' minds at all.  Nope.  It's just the Right.  Congratulations, you done figured it out.  Wait ... no, sorry.  My bad, it's really pretty much the exact opposite of that.  Whoops.

This is horribe. He should be sentenced to get his head stomped on ten times, but we've got that pesky 8th amendment.

The worst thing is that there will be people who will believe his side of the story, and claim that this woman should die for somehow framing him. Sometme's I'm ashamed to be American, if these people represent some of the national populace.

Agent Provocatuer.  The guy doing the stomping is most likely an infiltrator from moveon.org, or some similar org, and the lady was his choice for a target.  She didn't seem all that injured from the video, though.

Things that make you go hmmmmm...

Not joking, Boraxe.  In politics, it happens all the time.  You don't even need a degree in political science to see it (though I do have one ).  Just read Will, by G. Gordon Liddy, and his experiences with the Republican party machine.  It is an eye-opener.

If it's not a joke then it is paranoia.

Every time I hear something like that an alarm goes off in my head. Even if they talk about the Holy Bible.

If you look at the video closely, you will see he has his foot on the back of her neck (much like cops do everyday) in order to restrain her after she disrupted a gathering.
*shrug*

She knew what she was doing was potentially dangerous, and she even used a disguise!

Oh well... sorry about her luck.

Sorry for being so personal, but...
When a group of Americans got themselves in a dangerous situation and they got kidnapped by Iranians, you were blaming the kidnappers exclusively.
When a group of Tea Party members beat up a helpless woman who has different opinion, you say it's her fault for getting into a dangerous situation.

What the hell is wrong with you?
I remember you scowling at the idea of a man beating a woman.

Hiking is a little different than going to a meeting full of people who vehemently disagree with your point of view, and then attempt to disrupt that meeting while wearing a disguise.
Would you agree?... or wouldn't you?
Also, restraining someone who is a disruption is a little different than beating the hell out of your wife because dinner is cold.

Oh!...
What the hell is wrong with you?

Yeah, cause hiking in Iraq near the Iranian border is not high risk behavior.

Equal to or higher than going to a meeting full of people who vehemently disagree with your point of view, and then attempt to disrupt that meeting while wearing a disguise?

Anyway, the hikers were on the Iraqi side of the border, where they should have been safe.
The woman infiltrated a meeting full of people who vehemently disagree with her point of view, and then attempted to disrupt that meeting while wearing a disguise.

I see a difference, do you?
No...
I suppose you wouldn't.

This is America, not some backwards place where political gatherings regularly turn violent, so yeah, I'd think so.

Hmmmm. Iraqi/Iranian border vs. US political gathering? Which one should be safer?

A US political rally...UNLESS you infiltrate a meeting full of people who vehemently disagree with your point of view, and then attempted to disrupt that meeting while wearing a disguise. (I would call that "asking for trouble")

You guys keep conviently leaving that part of the equation out...

Problem is EE, political gatherings here DON'T "regularly turn violent". Only when left-wing meatheads infiltrate and disrupt conservative gatherings, or when the Black Panthers intimidate voters.

It's always a double standard when the left is involved.
