So, how do you do it? Yes another silly thread.

How do you guys seal the fabric of space time off from demons?

I tried superglue but it failed miserably.

I'm trying to find an adequate means to store the hate and bile that's festered and rotted in the old C&C forum to empower my pc.

(Pacts with the Dark Gods don't get you fresh enough material)

I need a place to store this bile and hate, and Oxybe recommended Sealable demi planes.

As super glue has failed me what methods do you employ?

A stapler and masking tape. It works for sucking chest wounds, so why not?

the main problem with me and cold regent storage is that i plan on also binding the demiplane (it borders on Cania for those interested, drawing it's nature from the 8th layer) as part of my computer's cooling system and having it double as mini fridge (where else would i keep the rum and regents?).

my biggest issue is not necessarily the sealant (though i would like to know if anyone has had success with commercial epoxy) but how to allow constant planar access for my cooling system, yet occasional access for when i want a sip 'o the Captain's finest or just plan on grabbing a limb or two so i can invoke an aberration to help me up my arena rating.

all this without accidentally letting loose the hordes at Mephistopheles' command.

PS: remember kids, don't drink and divine! for the love of Celsetia, DON'T DRINK AND DIVINE!

I find that saran wrap when exposed to the Dark Magiks of the cosmos makes a great one way semi permeable membrane. You can reach in and pull stuff out, but what's on the other side can't get out on it's own.

But you might not be able to get twinkies out... apparently Twinkies defy everything involving magic.

If you think this requires alot of free time you've not seen some of the other threads in this forum :P

spare time? i do this while at work!

honestly i love silly threads that try to mix D&Disms into real life in a "what if" scenario. especially if magic is involved.

while it sounds silly trying to bind the essence of Cania in a PC cooling system, as a big user of wizards/clerics/ect... this was the kind of stuff i would think of. if i were able to cast magic, i would definitely try to do this... i mean, overclocking without worry of overheating? sign me up!

i remember a Dwarf Cleric i was playing a few months ago. he was the group's father figure and defacto leader. he had a whole temple of Moradin planned out, complete with handcrafted everything (altar, statues, pews, ect...). the temple was a simple place of worship (not too extravagant, though he would make sure that the large statue of the all-father would be the centerpiece behind the altar). it would also have a large side room for community meetings.

it also had a side house that included:

-a personal lab for magical experimentation, rituals & crafting of magical items (scrolls, potions, ect...)
-a cozy library/sitting room (littered with books copied via "amnuensis")
-a magical bath (think roman-style, the temperature regulated via a "heat metal" cast on the piping underneath the bath, water is cleaned after use with "purify food/water", loss of water refilled via "create water" & scented via "prestidigitation") for him and his guests. why? roman baths rock.
-a large magical freezer, permanently cooled via "chill metal" to hold his meat, ale & other foodstuffs.
-a workshop that he can use for his crafting (sculpture, metalwork & woodwork) and livelihood... his "downtime money", or how he gets by when not adventuring.
-and a small kitchen. when you can cast "create food & water" (or hero's feast), cooking becomes a secondary skill at best :P
-1 master bedroom & 3 guest rooms.

some of my other characters have tried to recreate modern & sci-fi-esque things, but that little dwarf just wanted a nice place to stay, pray and help his community. it was a nice change of pace compared to my other questions.

the whole of it would have been in an underground structure. he dreamt big that little dwarf. unfortunately the game ended at level 3 due to various issues, but Dolph Craghammer will rise again!

A mystic adhesive I always found to be useful was the stuff of shadows empowered with magic that would take it to the astral plane. Bloody hard to get, but my superpowered fan amped up by the power of the plane of air would tell you it's effective

Demons are like fools. Nothing is proof against them. Design something foolproof and someone will invent a foolier fool.

And thus a JRPG trope was born. Infinite Random Encounters.

I've discovered that discarded batteries seems to be an excellent method of storing captured demons...

really? how big does one have to be to store a Balor?

Beer. Start out by getting drunk - it makes everything easier, even demons.
Next, get the vilest, strongest, most flammable stuff you can find and just start tossing the bottles through the rips of the fabric that the demons are trying to come through. The powerful spirits in the bottles will contain the demons, but you do need to replenish them from time to time.

Tampons, works for bullet holes too.

umm....

Don't ask me how I know that.

Have not had to deal against a Balor yet, but I imagine it needs to be around the size of a Semi Truck battery.

Tricky part is getting them into the battery.

*Raises brow at Minja*

Yeah, I'd rather have a not so embarassing solution to the problem. Nothing's more embarassing for a guy than buying tampons. I'd sooner be stripped naked and forced to walk through the center of my town lol

Can you think of anything that is better designed to stop blood loss?

Not having blood is an excellent way of ensuring that you never lose it.

To try to seal a demiplane, just put a child-proof lid on it. Only way demons are getting out is if they enlist a child. And where are they going to find one, huh? Demon internets?

Well I'm more interested in keeping them out than them getting out.

The foul energy of the C&C board would have nearly countless ramifications for energy if it could be properly stored and harnessed.

But the demons keep getting -in- and stealing it.
