So I get to the weolcome to the Wizards Community and there is a subversive dark haired leather and mesh wearing wench with a Cigarette. It is a Cigarette right? It isnt a finger with Magic comming off it because it is positioned wrong...

It's Jaya Ballard, Task Mage. And it's magic. WotC has the usual posterior-covering anti-tobacco stance nowadays IIRC (There was something about tainted monkey originally having a pipe but getting it edited out. Of course, then there's Frankie Peanuts so who knows, but I think it was okay cause he was a "bad guy" or something).

Actually, it's not a cigarette; it really is a finger with smoke coming off of it.  Whether it's magic flowing from the finger, or smoke from casting a firespell (Jaya Ballard is a fire mage), it's still just a finger.

Except it aint a finger - the finger you think it is...is obscured in a folded way behind that Cigarette...precisely how it should be if you are smoking a quirley.

Must you always look for something to complain about? Does that look like a cigarrette to you? If that is a cigarette, where is the finger?

This art is from a set that debuted in 2007. Get with the times. Not only are you trying to find something that isn't there, you're three years late trying to find it.

I want to buy a van just so I can put that picture on the side of it.

It has to be a full-sized "Chester the Molester" van with no windows. A mini-van just won't do it no matter how many times they air that commercial. If I had one of those vans I'd be torn between medieval fantasy art or Iron Maiden art.

Of course!  An' it would have shag carpet, hangin' beads an' a bed an' blacklight in the back.  For partyin' down with chicks that look like the one painted on the side of my van.   Cuz that's how party van doods roll.  With chicks.  And beads.

Ew.  Gross.  I can't believe you would suggest something like that.\

I mean a blacklight?  Really?  Do you have any idea the stuff those things reveal?  Gross!

'Colateral damage' is part of the van lifestyle.  Seeing it just makes the experience dirtier.  And more fun.

Gah!  That made me think of a quote, but I can't remember who... anyone recognize this quote?
Sex is only dirty when it's done right.

Anyone?

Why not Iron Maiden in medieval garb? With axes and everything.
Kitschy as heck, but it is a compromise ;)

Got it! The pose from "The Trooper", but he's in medieval garb and the dead bodies around him are adventurers. License plate: "EPIC TPK".
