| #1Cpt_MichaOct 20, 2009 10:34:59 | So what did you have for lunch? This is the child of the original Lunch thread. Today, I had a ham turkey, sandwhich that had lettuce, sliced tomato, miracle whip, fire sauce (from Taco bell), American, Swiss and Pepperjack Cheese, along with some spicey honey mustard. Never tried the combo before, and I have to say the spicy stuff easily overpowered the weak meats known as turkey and ham. I won't be trying it again because the meat is not strong enough. Otherwise it was a tasty little fireball. I had a glass of Rootbeer to wash it down with. |
| #2cloqwurkOct 20, 2009 10:37:56 | I had a nice warming bowl of chicken noodle soup, with salted crackers, a meat sandwich (with bologna, salami, ham, & turkey), a hot chocolate with whip cream, and a mint for afters. |
| #3Cpt_MichaOct 20, 2009 10:53:02 | That sounds good too. |
| #4cloqwurkOct 20, 2009 10:55:18 | Oh, trust me, it was! The snow will start falling soon, heck, we got a little taste of it last week. Time too bust out the warm foods, and hot beverages. |
| #5Cpt_MichaOct 20, 2009 10:59:09 | Yeah, this is the time of year where I really dial up my spicy food intake. |

| #10ShiftkittyOct 21, 2009 14:38:44 | Turkey sandwich on homemade wheat and nut bread and a package of crackers. For drink, best stuff ever, water. |
| #11marmalangOct 21, 2009 14:39:34 | BAKED ZITI one jar of pasta sauce (I prefer Bertolli Olive Oil & Garlic flavor) one package of ziti ~ 1/2 cup of heavy cream parmesan cheese mozzerella cheese
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Pour pasta sauce into an oven-safe pan and stir in enough ziti so that there is slightly more of a sauce-to-pasta ratio than you want to end up with. Then add about a cup of water and stir again. Heat over medium, so that it reaches a simmer. Reduce heat and cover until the pasta is done, about 20 minutes or so. At that point it will have absorbed a lot of moisture (and flavor) from the sauce, and the sauce will be much thicker than it was at the beginning. Now pour in that heavy cream and stir gently but thoroughly until smooth. The resulting sauce should be orange. Top with parmesan and shredded mozzerella to taste and then place in the oven, uncovered, for 5-10 minutes, until the cheese has melted and browned. |
| #12cloqwurkOct 21, 2009 17:46:50 | Spaghetti & Meatballs, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese mix, garlic and a dash of oregano. On the side I had half a loaf of homemade bread turned into a cheesy, salty garlic bread, with a glass of pineapple juice for drowners. |
| #13fridaOct 22, 2009 19:42:29 | I had leftovers today. Baked fish with pesto, mozzarella, potatoes and red beats. I had a glass of apple juice a pear and a cup of coffee. Its just fish file with pesto and mozzarella on top surrounded by bits of potatoes baked in the oven for about half an hour. |
