| #2homicidal_squirrelJan 21, 2013 15:47:08 | The Belfort vs. Bisping fight was pretty fun. I was a bit surprised that Vitor landed that head kick. He isn't known for his kicks. Funny thing is that Bisping is the guy who was supposed to be the kickboxer. Bisping came of more like a choke artist. Seriously, that gy always chokes in his #1 contender fights. As for Silva vs. Evans, I think Evans has a good shot at beating Silva. He has great wrestling, and he is constantly moving. While Sonen was able to take Silva down and hit him, I think Evans would do an even better job keeping Silva down and continuously striking him. Evans would probably be better at going for a submission than Sonnen. Sonnen also has better counter punching skills. Still, I think Evans is a bit afraid of taking Silva on. He may not want to test his chin against Silva's kicks and punches. |
| #3zombie_babiesJan 21, 2013 16:07:50 | Yeah, Machida punked him pretty hard. Still, it'd be a great fight. Er, at least it looks that way on paper. And yeah, I got to see the head kick and it was awesome. Always love a good headkick - doubly so when it lands on Bisping. ![]() |

Considering that the only fighter to be more accurate with his strikes than Machida is Silva. That guy has laser guided punches, kicks, and knees. I watched the Silva vs. Bonnar again the other day. That knee Silva got Bonnar with was ridiculous. Even all the roids that Bonnar was pumped up on couldn't save him. And yeah, I got to see the head kick and it was awesome. Always love a good headkick - doubly so when it lands on Bisping. It's always fun to see Binping get knocked out. I was hoping it would be in classic Vitor fashion. |

| #6SadClownIsSadJan 22, 2013 6:58:38 | Silva does need a worhty opponent. And as much as I respect his game, I'd like to see someone giving him a run for his money. He dominated his last fights IMHO, and he needs to fight someone that'll put up a challenge. Also, I can't wait for UFC 158. |

Bonnar was a joke and everyone knew it. Evans, IMO, would actually be a challenge. It's always fun to see Binping get knocked out. I was hoping it would be in classic Vitor fashion. Well, it wasn't classic Vitor but this new Vitor stuff looked pretty good. ![]() I really gotta memorize that a vague thread name by ZB = some boring crap about people I don't know or care about. The idea of Bisping getting the next shot was only appealing because Silva would have humiliated him worse than Hendo did. |

Yup, Evans wouldn't dominate the fight, except maybe on the ground, but he would have a pretty good shot of winning the fight. I think it would be a win for evans by a very close split D. Well, it wasn't classic Vitor but this new Vitor stuff looked pretty good. Yeah, it was a pretty damn good head kick, and he did follow it up with some good-old Vitor style ground-and-pound. I wouldn't mind seeing Rockhold go up against Silva. He is a pretty good striker and he looks quite large for a middle weight. It would be interesting to see that fight if the Evans fight doesn't pan out. |

I think it would be a win for evans by a very close split D. If Evans could hold him down and dodge enough subs it won't be all that close. Thing is, he's got to not get KOd trying, actually get Silva down and then survive the sub attempts. That's a tall order. Still, Evans has a decent shot. It'd be a very interesting fight. Yeah, it was a pretty damn good head kick, and he did follow it up with some good-old Vitor style ground-and-pound. Any time Bisping is hit in the head it's a good shot. ![]() I wouldn't mind seeing Rockhold go up against Silva. He is a pretty good striker and he looks quite large for a middle weight. Dana, of course, said yes immediately after cleaning the load off the front of his pants. It's unsigned but as far as I know the 10 fight thing isn't any sort of point of contention. Point is, what 10 doods is Silva gonna fight? Srsly. |
