Geez, good thing I didn't drive through there back when I used to have the yellow "Soccer Mom In Trunk" sign stuck on the back window of my minivan. Or the bumpersticker I made for a friend's car that said "Teachers For the Legalization of Marijuana"...

Personally, I 100% approve of that license plate.

Jan 07, 2011 12:36:22 Well, the sticker is personal property and the plate is official gov't stuff. The sticker shows the person driving the vehicle thinks whatever and that's it. The plate shows that the gov't approved whatever message the plate happens to have. It's stupid, sure, but it can't really be compared to a bumper sticker.

Think about that for a moment. Somebody at the Va DMV apparently looked at that LP and, instead of thinking "oh, a cannibalism joke", their first mental association was "oral sex with children".

Is anybody else just a little freaked out by that?

I don't envy where you live, no matter what part of that state you inhabit. It's a powder-keg just waiting for a spark. There's so much racial and economic and political strife that it won't take much to make it fall into the ocean, figuratively speaking, though I'll not be surprised if it happens literally.

Aparently This is an acceptable sticker but Eat the kids first cannot be a LP? I'm glad Virginia is so far away from me. Granted I think the sticker is damn funny, but so is the LP.

It stems from the fact that the DMV actually owns the license plate and as such the license plate is a reflection of the State. I do not agree with this but I can understand it.
