The Ghostwalk setting has fascinated me for years. I like the idea of ghost adventurers continuing the quest after death, and the world presented has plenty of opportunity for adventure, there is only one thing about Ghostwalk I don't care for, the edition. The setting seems like a poor fit for 3rd ed and the ghost rules seem rather awkward. I've been debating running a 4th ed homebrew version for a while now, but before I put all the work into rejiggering the rules I was wondering if there has been any official or facsimile settings released that I could use as a base?

(I've been out of the loop on 4th ed products for some time now, sorry if this is a dumb question.)

Over a year ago I asked if anyone had thought about converting Ghostwalk (either to 4e or an earlier D&D edition, like 2e) over at The Piazza. I've not met anyone (apart from you) that has considered doing a conversion (or retro-conversion) yet, but there was some background interest (and a fair amount of replies).

Maybe you should keep an eye on my thread: [Ghostwalk] Converting (or retro-converting) Ghostwalk.

I've mentioned your thread here over there. Maybe your post here will allow my thread to come back to life - Ghostwalk style! Laughing

Uri Kurlianchik wrote a series of articles on D&D with Kids. One article, D&D Kids: Combat Encounters, had suggests for ghost powers when a PC dies. Obviously it is not Ghostwalk but thought I'd mention it.
