C. S. Lewis inspierd campaign?

When I was younger (before I discovered D&D) I loved the narnia books and I still like them now.
After seeing the new movies I wonderd what a simalar theamed (edited of course) D&D campaign would be like. I made some monsters and stuff but I was wondering if I should make a big thing out of it and if I should you could give me any tips or anything. Tell me what you think.

Mar 05, 2010 22:21:01 I thought all the books had different themes. The world changes pretty drastically from one to the next as well. The later books have more and more humans. Humans are almost all of the lead characters.

The world has some faerie tale elements that are missing form the known D&D element.

Sep 07, 2010 8:49:39 I'd say definitely doable. I grew up loving narnia as well - you'd pretty much have to build races from scratch. Some classes would work.

PCs could include talking animals, dwarves, dryads, centaurs, and other creatures, and humans - I'd personally stay away from the humans though, because unless you have the narrative talent of CS lewis, its going to come across pretty strange. Aslan also should be handled very carefully - he's above and beyond anything else.

Classes - Narnia is magical, but not in a PC way. Divine classes might also have trouble fitting in. Primal classes would do great, good fit, as well as Martial.

So yeah, doable, but lots of hard work. It might be easier if you got the World of Narnia book or whatever it was called that gathered together all the info of the books - or find a wiki or webpage online that already had gathered info for you.
