#1 warghoul Oct 25, 2010 14:32:34	Anyone play? Thoughts?   Ive had the setting for a while and just got a chance to start using it. So far its ok just wondering if anyone else out there ever play/gm the setting.
#2 halcy Dec 15, 2010 12:05:24	I really enjoy XCrawl and have run it.  I've also been fiddling with some 4E conversion material (which I know is not a ton of work, really, but it has been fun :D) so that I can run it with the new system.  I collect the sourcebooks and adventures because they're a fun read.   What I like best about the setting is that you have an excuse to build a dungeon for the pure sake of it being a challenging dungeon.  Player motivations end up mostly clear; are you in it for the money, the fame, the glory, all of the above?  And the whole setting is a parody, filled with dark humor.  <3 I've found that it's hard to run XCrawl in a pickup fashion - in one game I ran at my local shop I gave all of my signed up players a sheet with the basic 'here's how you use Mojo, don't loot the bodies because you're on television' rules on them.  Sure enough, 15 minutes in and they were looting the bodies (getting penalties from the Ref) and trying to spend Mojo on themselves.  *zombie thread has risen from the grave*
