The character's are sent to Sigil to try and find new gods for their world as it seems to be falling apart. The clueless PC's then need to deal with the strange environment of Sigil, figure out who to get help from to accomplish their mission, find gods/ their proxies and pick between those they can find. I figure the factions would get involved due to the promise of helping to shape a whole worlds belief system. Athars trying to convince them they dont need gods, doomguards saying the world needs to decay like it is ect ect. The PC's can also try to figure out what became of the old gods. I came up with this idea and I was really excited about it. I am already running a game so this is for the future. Since I can't run it yet I wanted to share it. |

The back burners of my brain have been working to build a 4th edition fusion of Planescape and Spelljammer. Almost have the faction snippets written up; just need my muse to hit me over the head a few more times so I can wrap it up and move on to other concerns.I always wanted to play a campaign on Athas where Dregoth brought a artifact (a bell) that if rang on a world it would render godhood possible. So aside from Dregoth (god of the Drays and undeath) and Rajaat (god of magic), I never figured out who could become a god and more importantly, of what. While techically all the sorcerer kings are potentional targets, Lalali-Puy of Gulg and Tectuktitlay of Draj are both already claiming god hood, though Tectuktilay mostly depends on when in the Dark Sun timeline you'd be having the bell rung. A more interesting idea under such events would be examining Raam and the false god Abalach-Re hides behind. What if the ringing of the bell suddenly makes that false god real? Poor Abalach might defile her own lifeforce in an attempt to make sure even her suddenly real and angry god couldn't reach her. Now that would be interesting. Those are my ideas about who. Now as for what... well Lalali would be of the forest of course. The others... I'd need to think on some more. |
